I was on a 300k randoneurring ride coming from Boston when my spoke broke. I was able to get to Green Light on the wobbly wheel. Sean had me back on the road in 20 minutes and even filled up my water bottles! He is clearly a very skilled bike mechanic and super enthusiastic about bikes. I greatly enjoyed the time in his shop talking bike tech!

We've been going to Green Light Bicycle Shop in Belchertown for many years. Sean has been great to work with. We routinely get our bikes tuned up and fixed there. Very reasoneable and timely service. Also bought a refurbished bike there a few years ago that we use as an extra on trips. Great bike. I would recommend this shop to anyone for bike service.

I purchased a bike off the owner about a week ago, and I couldn’t be any happier. Traded my old trek in for a newer bike. Sean (owner) gave me more than I had expected for the trade in and allowed me to swap out my medal pedals. He took care of everything right there on the spot. What amazing service!!!! I was treated with a great deal of respect and was very impressed with his knowledge. After this I then shopped a little more and saw a nice rechargeable kryptonight flashlight and he gave me a good price on it. I needed this upgrade and would recommend anyone to him. 👏👏 Keep up the good work!

Super fast service!!! Was visiting Western Mass riding the local trails ended up breaking a spoke on my handcycle, after being told by another bike shop I needed a new wheel. I called Green Light and Shawn fixed it without hesitation and got me back riding. Service was very quick and affordable. Also has the best shop helper who is very knowledgeable about all the bike parts!!Thanks again you saved our cycling vacation!!

I'm writing to bolster my earlier post. In the time since I first wrote I bought a second kid's bike through Sean and now both my sons have bikes that they absolutely love. In addition to guidance on bike purchases, Sean also helped me pick out a great rack for my car. Sean is always very quick to respond when repairs are needed, and the prices he charges are always less than I would have guessed they would be. Not only that but I've never once had an issue with a repair or change that was made. I could not recommend Sean's shop any more strongly!%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%All around fantastic first few impressions. I wanted to get my young son a good first real bike. I asked at the shop and was given a couple brands to check out. Found the bike we wanted, ordered it through the shop, and they assembled it. My son had the bike a week after ordering it and could not possibly love it more than he does.Not only that, but I brought the bike in there today to have it looked over and was given a free first tune-up. I also had my bike looked over and it's running like new as well. Great place!

This man can actually fix your bicycle in a more than reasonable time and not charge you ridiculous prices. A rare thing to see these days. If you have bicycle issues no matter the make bring it to Green light bicycle, i've been to many mechanics over the years, this guys the real deal.

HANDS DOWN the best shop I've been to yet. Upon my first visit Sean ( owner and Tech) was very welcoming and open to any and every question i had to ask him. Sean gave me 20 minutes of his time to explain all of his bikes for sale, what they are intended for and which would be the best fit for me. Overall what sold me on buying a bicycle from Green Light was Sean's obvious passion, work ethic and pride in what he does. I am now a proud owner of a completely refurbished Bridgestone Rb-2 and couldn't be happier with its looks and performance.

You may notice that we all know the owner's name, Shawn. This is your first hint at the quality of service that you will revive at Green Light Bicycle Shop. I was touring and dumped my bike, but found the shop and Shawn got me back on the road even though it was closed. While he offered good solutions and fixed my bike, he taught me about how to fix it myself as well as use his tools to jury rig a temporary fix to get home. Great service at a fine price with some extra parts to boot, Shawn really just wants us to enjoy riding.

I have been looking for a bike for a good time. I recently found a Fuji Espree that needed a good sprucing up. I brought it down to Shawn and he did an spectacular job! It looks absolutely fantastic. His prices were VERY reasonable for all the hard work that he did. Plus I got my bike back faster than expected! He is very passionate about what he does and is always willing to help someone out. If he doesn't have the part you need there he will do his best to get it for you in a timely fashion. Needless to say I will always be going back to Green Light Bike Shop.

Thank you 😊Back here to edit :I bought a " vintage " bike because it was cheap , but it needed new tires .Come to find out the size is very odd and hard to find . I bought online after tracking it down to some warehouse... only when came it was not the correct size .Sean tracked down 2 of the correct size locally and bought the wrong online tire from me !! So helpful , knowledgeable and very quick service . I thank you again !!

We brought in two bikes for what we hoped were minor repairs, and assumed we’d have to leave them for a week or two. It was a pleasant surprise that twenty minutes later they were fixed and we were on our way. Service was top-notch and very reasonably-priced. All that and the cutest little shop helper around. Anytime I need my bike shipped somewhere or put back together after biking out of state, I bring my bike here. The service is great and rather quick compared to other bike shops I've been to.

Awesome bike shop. I had a mechanical problem (fraying rear shifter cable) during a ride, and managed to make it to Green Light. The owner was super helpful- I wanted to do the repair myself because I had never worked with integrated cable routing before, and he let me use his stand and all of his tools to do the repair, and then walked me through it. He also answered a ton of questions I had about carbon frames and various bike parts, offered us food and water, and let the people I was riding with lounge around in the shop while I did the repair. We chatted a lot about bikes, and I learned a ton in my hour there. Amazing service and a pleasure to talk to, will definitely stop by again if I'm in the area.

I stopped by Green Light Bicycle Shop only to find it out was closed and not open until 11am. I Called Shawn at 9am to see if I could leave my bike out in front to get it serviced as soon as possible because I am a regular commuter to work using it. Shawn immediately answered and said, "I can be there in 10 minutes to help you out". He got there in less then 10 minutes ( probably more like 5) and had my bike fixed in 15 minutes on the spot. He also let me test ride numerous bikes and they all rode so smoothly! Don't hesitate to call or checkout Green Light Bicycle Shop! Shawn does fantastic work and has excellent customer service along with fair prices!

Green Light Bicycle Shop located in Belchertown Ma , is a very high quality, reasonably priced, very fast turn around , veteran owned , establishment.I had my bicycle repaired at Green Light on the same day, with less than one hours notice from my initial call of help to the owner— so this was important to me since all of the other bike repair shops in the Springfield Mass area told me that my bike had to be dropped off and that there was a 2+ week wait time for just a diagnostic quote and potentially more time for the actual repair to be made.The owner of Green Light Bike Shop is very pleasant and provided a very reasonably priced bike repair service to me .I sincerely and HIGHLY recommend Green Light Bike Shop for all of your bicycle repair needs and if you are in Springfield Mass, you definitely will not regret making the scenic 20 minute drive to Belchertown .

Sean the owner has fixed 4 of my bikes. He explains what needs to be done and describes how to get the most out of our bike experience. I brought two of my bikes here from Boston and two from Ware. I spend a lot of time on my bike both riding to work and for leisure. Sean made sure the bikes are safe and ride like I am on a cloud. I highly recommend his 'art' and 'science' approach to bike maintenance and improvements.

The bikes felt so much smoother after their trip to Green Light. We had to take one of them back because of worn brake pads, and within ten minutes of walking in it was all done and I'd learned more about bikes than I'd ever was able to figure out before.The owner is very easy to work with and very accommodating! I took my Trek 1000 road bike in thinking I'd like to upgrade the drive train. I've been to other bike shops and have been told it would just be cheaper to bike a new bike, so then I'm looking to spend $1,500-$2,000. Sean did an excellent job working with what I wanted, the parts he had and his expertise to update my bike for 1/4 of the cost of a new bike. My guess, other bike shops are not willing to put in the time and work to update my bike into what I wanted.Sean is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what he does, he is also honest about what to expect for the results. My road bike now rides just as smooth and quiet as it did 8 years ago, and now it has the drivetrain I've been looking for the past 4 years.I hands down would trust Sean at Green Light Bicyles with any of my bikes for maintenance and upgrades. Sean is an excellent craftsman and bike mechanic.

Instead of waiting days at another area shop I was in and out with 2 bikes in less than an hour. Didn’t try to sell me and definitely didn’t overcharge. I gave an extra $10 for the 0 hassle and quick service. I didn’t realize but he also has quality used bikes inside for sale. I almost grabbed one but I only have a rack for 2 bikes. I’ll definitely be back with any future bicycle needs.

I couldn't believe how inexpensive the repairs were! Took in my tween's Cannondale. I couldn't rightly explain what my kid had done to damage it. Sean saw the broken chain wrapped around the cassette and told us, "AH! say no more!" This guy knows a lot about bikes and really wants to help you. Thanks, Sean!
