Our dog Foxy’s went to Bon -Chien And came out a different dog! He looked beautiful. He was really knotted behind the ears and they got all of that and he looks so smooth and 10 pounds lighter because he had so much for fur they did a wonderful job best place we’ve taking him well done . Been taking my little girl Scarlett here for 4 years now absolutely love the service and how clean smelling she is when she comes home. The prices are great too. They may have move to Belchertown but it’s definitely worth the drive their new place is absolutely gorgeous. Can’t wait to bring Scarlett and her new baby sister back for a bath and nails. ☺️

I have a 1 year old 95lb golden retriever puppy named Willie. This is my first dog I have ever had and I was skeptical looking for a place to bring him with being a new owner. I found Bon Chein and Willie and I absolutely love it here! The employees are so kind to him and welcome us everytime he comes in. They made sure Willie was always comfortable. I asked for Willie to get a completely shave down for the summer heat and I was more then pleased with the outcome! Very smooth and even, not patchy at all. I have been here two times so far and was greatly pleased! I will always come back and I would recommend to anyone! Great price and a great job done. Thank you Bon Chein!!

Bon Chien may not be the least expensive groomer in the area, but her love and care of your pets is top notch, and so aren't her employees. I'd rather pay $10-$15 extra and come out of there with a great experience for both me and my dog. Bonnie may love her animals to death, but she's not long in the tooth for rude customers. Sometimes a customer's expectations may be unrealistic. If your dog or cat won't comply, how can Bonnie or her employees do their job? Also, we are talking about people with years and years of experience. So, I can tell you any complaint about Bonnie or the staff is just someone with thin skin and an animal that most likely won't behave enough for the job at hand to be done. I wouldn't bring my dog anywhere else. Period. Oh, and I gave it 4 stars so my comment wouldn't be considered a defensive view of the shop. There are always things that can be improved, but the care and treatment of your animal isn't one of them.

I don't understand the very bad reviews. I think they are distasteful and quite ridiculous. I personally know Bonnie and consider her a friend. She is a true animal lover. She loves dogs and cats. If I ever had an emergency or wanted to go on vacation, Bonnie would be the first person I would ask to watch my dogs. She has a passion for animals and does this because she loves animals. Boomer, a 10 year old Lhaso Apso had problems with other groomers and had to use Tranquilizers so he wouldn't attack the groomer. He no longer needs them because he has bonded with Bonnie and got used to her. Bonnie has also helped with Brandi the cute beagle puppy. She does her nails when they need a trimming, she has provided me with very good knowledge on raising beagles, and is very knowledgeable. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend anyone who has a dog or cat to go to Bon Chien! I am proud to have Bonnie work on our dogs, and I love Bonnie, she is such a sweet woman. Kudos to Bonnie for being such a great groomer and lady!

They do a great job with my 100lb golden Retriever! They trim him very nicely his fur doesn’t Come out choppy. 🐾 I’ve been to a couple other groomers in the area that don’t do as good as a job and are way more expensive. They are very fairly priced

I never write reviews, but in reading some of the negative reviews I had to join in. I recently moved to Ludlow and had been searching for a place to groom my Morkie. I tried a place in Chicopee and while the place was beautiful, clean and had a beautiful waiting area I walked out and felt uncomfortable leaving her there. I’m sure all of you have felt that before with a groomer or two. when I picked her up her fur was uneven , you could see the clipper marks everywhere. I paid 54 bucks and I hated the way she looked , so back to searching again.I called around and decided to try here because if the reviews. The woman that answered the phone was very nice to fit her in for me. I had ankle surgery and was very limited about getting a ride anywhere.I will say I was a little taken back by the appearance of Bon-Chiens waiting area and the amount of dog fur on the floor, thus taking one star away.. Sorry! But when the groomer came out , greeted me and asked me so many questions of how I wanted her groomed in such detail it made me comfortable. she actually took the time to really listen. I also think she knew I was nervous about leaving her in a strange place that Bella was not familiar with. She called me to ask questions about how I wanted certain things done, even asked me to send a picture of her groomed so she looked as I like it. I don’t know about all of you but I have always worried of what she was going to look like when I picked her up. I was delighted to see what a beautiful job she did on Bella. She even took time out of her busy schedule to bring her out to car knowing how difficult is would be for me to get her myself on crutches. Thank you so much!😊The remarks the gentleman made about the rabies shot is ridiculous. It’s your responsibility to bring the record of that as a responsible adult. They should not have to remind you. I find it hard to believe they were rude to you. Are you sure you weren’t the one being rude because you forgot to bring the vaccination certificate and took your forgetfulness out on her?Thank you so much for doing such a beautiful job on Bella, we will definitely be back.

Do not go here! We brought our cat Pumpkin here to be groomed and it was filthy, there was no waiting room, they told us to come back in two hours, and two and a half hours later they said she was scared of the razor and ran into the bathroom, where they left her for who knows how long, hiding behind a toilet! Dog and cat hair was all over the place and they never wiped the table or floor between pets and they never trimmed our cat! Then Bonnie, the owner, said awful things, yelling at my husband and was so rude and she got in his face and kept being rude to the max, almost yelling! Never, ever trust Bonnie or this company with your pet!

I have been bringing my two dogs to Bon-Chien for almost 2 years. They do a great job and they are so kind and gentle! "Karma" is a long haired silky terroir who is very difficult to handle and they manage to do a beautiful scissor cut on her every time. "Angel" is a white toy poodle and she gets the cutest teddy bear poodle cut ever!

Worst experience ever. Never again. Lady was super rude. I understand it's law to have rabies vaccination and I forgot the papers but when I called the previous day to see when my appointment was she should've reminded me about the papers. She has no right to talk to anyone the way she talked to me. Also the lady said no dogs would be present at 8:30 a.m and she had a place full of dogs. This place was recommended to me but I only lasted 5 minutes inside due to owner being rude and disrespectful.

I typically do not write reviews but after Bon-Chien not returning my call, I felt that a review was warranted. I have two Shih Tsu puppies (8 months). I had taken both of them to Bon-Chien about 3 times without incident. I decided to get both of them spayed. While they were recovering, they wore an e-collar pillow around their necks to keep them away from their stitches. A few weeks after the stitches were removed, I took them to Bon-Chien with specific instructions to avoid cutting their hair since they had accumulated knotted hair around their necks. I was also told by them in the past that they did not cut puppy hair since it may not grow back. Well, when I went to picked them up, one of my puppies was completely butchered. She cut the hair with a line on one side of her neck and along the side of her upper left leg and stomach. When I asked what happened, she said that the hair would grow back and that my puppy bit her. Really? The puppy is only about 7 or 8 pounds. She then asked for 40 dollars for the service. Poor service at best. I don't understand why she never called me to tell me to say she cut a zig-zag in one puppy. If your dog has a bad experience with this dog groomer, the dog will pay for it. My advice would be to find another groomer since you will probably not supervise the visit.Now, I am scheduled to take both puppies to another groomer.
