This is a small town hardware store (lot of products stocked there though and plenty of lumber) with hardworking good people. Anytime I have come in or called everyone has been nice and never seem like they hate being there like some bigger stores. Only down side is the pricing can be higher than say Lowes or Home Depot, worth it to support a local business and the people of our town.

I discussed the product I needed with a sales associate and waited for the late delivery to be wrong. I called and talked to another associate who’s voice was so distorted I asked him to pull back from the receiver so I could understand him. He didn’t and I couldn’t make out 90% of what he said. I called again and was handed over twice to two different associates - neither of which knew the relatively common product to which I referred. One called back and asked for a picture of the product, which happens to be a deck fascia board. I gave him the dimensions and material makeup and he came back with a price. I called the next day, asked for him specifically because apparently he is the only one who has any knowledge about this product ( because I gave it to him) and was told he was processing an order, and he would call me right back. An hour later I called and was told he was out to lunch. This is not professional service, and this will be the last time I deal with these people. Erik Lufkin

This place has all the supplies you might need including some you didn't realize you needed! I was impressed with their inventory of parts that you can't find even at big box stores. Very good quality service, too.

I came by to spend a bunch of money on supplies because I didn’t want to support the normal big-box chains... But I walked in and employees aren’t wearing masks and they let customers in without them too.I guess I’ll take my business elsewhere... Because if you can’t follow the basic sanitary regulations, what else do y’all skimp on?

Very friendly staff always willing to help you with whatever you need. Nuts, bolts, nails, screws ect. Are most of the time half the price of Lowes and Home Depot. Prices on wood is a bit higher but not worth the drive to the big stores.

My experience at Leader Home Centers in Barre has been outstanding. I have been working with David Wallace regarding Trex decking. I have never met a more personable, helpful and honest salesman. When I figured out how much I needed and he called Trex for a price, it didn't match a price he'd gotten for me earlier. So he called Trex back and they reviewed it and found they had made a mistake in the cost and adjusted it to my advantage. What salesman does that?? I found that extraordinary. Furthermore, the site for the placement of the building materials is not accessible by truck, so they are going to off load it by hand at no extra charge. And they don't even charge for shipping! Again, who does that??? I can't sing their praises loudly enough in a world where honesty and helpfulness is often sacrificed for the almighty dollar! I know where I'll be shopping for all my home improvement supplies!!!

I called on the phone to find an electrical outlet a special size they salesman didnt want to look to see if you have it in stock he told me to come down and look for myself why would I go down there and they dont have the size I guess im shopping at the wrong place I thought thats what sales people are for not good costumer service

I called today to see if they carry dowel pins and small wire finish nails. I was told yes over the phone. Drove 20 minutes to get there only to find out they don't have them. Every time I go in not one employee acknowledges me.
