Some items were delicious, but some were very old & hard.We bought four boxes of items. Two containers for our family and two to take to work.Well, croissant, muffin & danishes were very hard.They were definitely not fresh.The apple turnovers, fig & lemon square, and cookie were great.I don’t remember what items my daughter took to work, but it’s embarrassing to know that we possibly contributed old food.I can’t see visiting this place again, but I’d suggest that customers ask when items were made.

I should have taken a picture of the absolutely gorgeous pastry platters Capri put together for me but they were such a hit I hardly had a chance before everything was devoured. This is a local, humble Italian bakery and pizza shop that makes “the best cream puffs I’ve ever had, even better than the North End” according to one party guest. I ordered 250+ mini pastries for a friends wedding shower and everything was delicious. I went with an assortment of brownies, cream puffs, eclairs, tiramisu cakes, and cannolis, and they have even more options than that to choose from. The price was SUPER reasonable, too (less than $300 all together.) I cannot recommend Capri enough! Exceptional customer service- Denise was so patient and helpful with my many questions. I will be supporting this small business again soon!

The pastries looked attractive! They're so pretty. So a star for appearance, but whoa boy they are barely OK to eat. Stale and unfortunately bland. I wanted to love them, too! Honest!OH AND THERE'S A BIG OL' SHRINE TO TRUMP? You don't see it unless you turn around and face away from the counter, but it is there. Y'know, if you're not seeking out a jumpscare (or should I say "Trumpscare" haha), stay away! I just want pastries, I don't wanna think about That Guy.

I wanted a really fancy birthday cake, and this was the 2nd bakery I went to that didn't have cakes avaliable. It's my fault for not ordering ahead, though, and wanting this on a whim.I was going to try somewhere else, but I was told here that there actually was one for sale.. pretty basic, but it was a birthday cake, so I bought it... it was so old, it was completely dry throughout the cake, and the frosting was starting to get a thickened outer layer. I was very disappointed when I got home and attempted to eat my birthday cake as it was not edible. I would have preferred honesty that they didn't have anything available instead of selling me a super old cake!Giving it 2 stars cuz they were friendly, but the fact that someone even attempted to sell that cake is baffling and disappointing.

A nice local bakery, cafe, and restaurant with lot of freshly baked pastries and pizza. They have lot of baked savory items as well as cakes and pastries. There is hot soup bar and fresh coffee. The owner lady is friendly and welcoming. Day old pizzas are a great deal for just 1$. However, some of the cakes were not fresh. I bought a chocolate raspberry cheesecake slice and the cake was hard and felt old by few days.

This is, by far, the best bakery, not only in Ayer, but in all surrounding towns. They offer a wide variety of delicious pastries, unlike any I've found in better known bakeries in this area. Many items freeze beautifully, so if you're not a resident, you can stock up on favorites and have them over a week or two. Prices are reasonable and service is great.

Hidden treasure! Finally made it to Capri and so happy i did. Bought a variety of pastries and OMG were they delicious! My family and i enjoyed them very much! Huge variety, reasonably priced and she also has coffee and other treats. Definitely will be going back!

About a year ago, we went to Capri Bakery and got a couple pastries. We thought they were delicious. So this past weekend, when we needed a birthday cake, we decided to order from Capri. We asked for navy, since that was the birthday girls favorite color.Saturday, we went to pick it up. When we walked in, there was no one in sight, but the cake was sitting on the counter, out in the open, not in a box. The writing was a light blue, and there were pink flowers. We thought, "Where's the navy?", but decided not to worry about it.Then, the woman came out from out back. She was not wearing a mask. Really?? It's MANDATORY for people (employees and customers) to be wearing a mask. We just looked at each other, but kept our mouths shut.We had a few people over for the party and the birthday girl cut the cake. A couple slices were handed out, and comments were made about how dry the cake was. So I tried a piece, and I couldn't believe it. It was so dry, and the frosting literally had no taste. It was like they forgot an ingredient from the frosting. Someone else brought cupcakes from Wegmans, and I could have eaten the whole box. They were so moist and so delicious. So, to get a cake this dry and tasteless from a bakery is pretty unbelievable. A few more people tried a bite and said it was dry. By the time the party was over, only 3 slices were missing from this 10" cake, because no one wanted to eat a full slice of that.Capri Bakery is definitely not what it was a year ago, and not only will we not be going back, we're considering reporting them for not wearing masks.

This bakery was a fantastic find! We stopped by to get an arrangement of pastries instead of a birthday cake. The pastries were fresh with flavors that were wonderfully rich - and all at a price that was half of other bakeries. The napoleons were light and creamy, the cannolis and ricotta pie slices were made with ricotta and not overly sweet, the spiced carrot cake was made with carrots and raisins and topped with cream cheese, the lemon squares and meringue pie was balanced tart and sweet, and the traditional Italian cookies were a tasty crisp (but not hard). With an arrangement of classic cupcakes/cakes, pies and pastries, they also have harder-to-find Italian options and breads that are more than delicious. She also sells coffee to take for the trip home. I plan to come back to try the fruit tart pie, which looked absolutely perfect.

Friendly service and delicious baked goods. I bought three pies for Thanksgiving: apple, pumpkin and ricotta; they were pronounced perfect by my hard-to-please italian family and we loved every bite.

This place never ceases to amaze me. So many different delights, and all baked fresh every morning. 😊 My favorite? The raspberry bramble. If they're ever sold out of them, I'll have a pout... And then go for a set of Greek cookies, or a Half Moon, or--you get the gist; bring your buddies!

The atmosphere of this place is oppressive due to the constant broadcast of Fox News. I definitely did not feel welcomed and they were not friendly.
