Generally decent employees. Great store layout clean convenient location on public transportation lots of parking very handicap accessible. Very few handicap carts available. Limited stock compared to other stores I took my review more seriously because this business is professional enough to respond to the review by trying to make improvements. Sometimes my reviews tend to be satirical and ironic and not simple because a lot of business nowadays don't seem to particularly care about quality. I appreciate the response which was pleasant and professional. Believe me there are much more problematic locations than this one, this one is fine.

March 2023: I stopped by this location today looking for a place to return my bottles. I saw on my last visits that there was a facility just to the side of the store where you could walk in and make the return with ease. I tried the machine and it worked fairly well. The problem happened when I went inside the store to cash in the tickets taking almost 20 minutes at the customer service courtesy counter.August 2022: 4 ⭐: I stopped by this store to get a few things before I departed the area for the airport. This was my first time going into one of these stores and I found that it was decently stopped with fruit and sandwiches that I would soon purchase for my trip. I walked through the store. I saw a reasonable amount of items that were marked for sale and selected one or two small things that I could take with me on the plane or consume prior to walking through security at the airport. As you walk into the store, I noted that as most they have the bakery, fruits, and vegetables neatly lined up in a colorful fashion. The store appears to be closing soon. Most of the bins were empty which gave me the impression that they were cleaning up to close for the night. I was unable to see what it would look like during operational time such as lunch or early dinner time, so I did not see the store and it's full glory.

Go to the Shaw's down the road instead of this dump. This place is run by absolute JERKS. Almost all of the young people have absolutely foul attitudes, terrible etiquette, or are as helpful as screen doors in a submarine. One kid made a massive scene because I put a pack of chicken thighs in a produce bag to prevent the liquid from getting all over my other groceries, even though he was able to litrially scan the barcode through the bag. He actually started to cry after I told him to calm down and stop giving me nasty attitude.The place is also messy and for some reason they have flies all over the produce in the middle of winter.

The shopping experience is good until you get to the registers. Put the hand scanners back at the self check out and stop telling customers that someone stole them. The whole point of self check out is to do it yourself. I’ve had enough with your stupid rules and processes at checking out of the store. I’m in this store often and the check out experience is bad. No other grocery does what their staff does at the registers. Please expand your self-check out like the Hannaford in Waltham. Please invest in robots.Also, I found the same unicorn balloon priced for 9.99 at the Market Basket in Waltham. It’s priced for 18.99 at this Auburndale location. Why is star market jacking up their prices beyond measures? Please use that extra price steroid revenue to update your store. Please train your staff to know what’s generally in the aisles as far as groceries go. Please tell them to never tell a customer that they don’t know anything because they don’t work in said department.

Went to the women’s bathroom for my 4 year old to use it and we ended up leaving and not using it. I noticed the toilet paper had blood on it. Definitely some junkies sticking them selves in those bathrooms and cleaning the needles with the paper rolls. This is so disgusting and just worries me if a child goes in there and actually touches/uses the rolls. Two different rolls with blood on them, and it’s definitely blood!

This store is consistently the worst grocery shopping experience of all the stores in the area. Every time I’ve been here, more than half of my list is out of stock. How are they even in business when you can never complete a full grocery trip in one go? I’m so tired of having to make multiple trips for out of stock staples as simple as cabbage or green beans. Please go anywhere else is you’re trying to avoid some frustration.

Staff is great. People shopping there need to be more considerate to others. I came just to pick up a few things and the attitudes of the shoppers were unbelievable. I live in Framingham and go to Market Basket...totally different atmosphere and way more chaos. Just wish mankind would be kind.

Well stocked and clean. Good selection. Flower and plant selection always nice. Staff always helpful. They have good sales and a bargain/ deep discount area where I find great misc things at half or more off.

this is usually one of my favorite grocery stores to shop at. Unfortunately, today, walked in, and there was pretty much no food on the shelves? No notice on the door either? Very disappointed in the management of the store today.

Two stars for convenience because this is the closest grocery store to my university and their indoor plant selection is okay. However, I refuse to buy from the freezer/fridge section. They constantly leak water and they put paper towels underneath them to soak it up. I don't trust buying frozen food or milk that defrosts/get warm and then freezes/get cold again. I only shop here when I need a quick microwaveable product like Ramen Noodles.

Recently remodeled store. Very clean. Beautiful produce which is very important to me. This place still has an in store butcher, full service meat and seafood counter which I like. Store is large enough to have what you need but is not a mega- store which I like. All in all a good place to shop.

Poorly stocked store. Some items are constantly out of stock where some other very similar items of the same brand are always fully stocked. Not a "supply chain issue", just poor planning. I enquired about it several times customer service but no-one cares.Also, some customers and employees are walking around with no masks, and if you ask an employee about it, you get rudely asked to enforce it yourself if you care about that kind of stuff (i.e. the local laws).

I love this little neighborhood grocery store. It's always on my way to or from somewhere, is beautiful with the make over, and not so huge you get lost in it. I've always found fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and salads. The cashiers are lovely people that always know the store layout or what to do when you ask for assistance. If you're in the neighborhood, stop in, feel the warmth of smaller being better.

Star Market it's okay I mean it's exactly what it's supposed to be. It's neatly kept and the staff seem Pleasant. This particular one is above what I would expect as far as environment goes for what I perceive to be a mid-level grocery store chain. It's prices are not the lowest but it's not Wegmans and you can see the difference. However I do not perceive Star Market is competing to appear as Wegmans does. This is a sensible grocery my wife prefers it just that reason.

Prices are fair but most employees are impersonal and arrogant. Used to love shopping here though without self-checkout you are forced to interact with the extremely unpleasant staff. If you need to talk to a shift leader or deli consultant prepare to feel debased and humiliated.

From the name, I was expecting a stellar place. A place where I scope out and turn over my hard won treasure for an assortment of otherworldly gastronomic delights. I was sorely disappointed. A dreary, down to earth supermarket, kin to all of those other nowhere spaces like airports. Star Market is the Newark airport of grocery, it serves its purpose, but ultimately you're off to someplace better.

Very nicely organized store, more akin to Whole Foods than other supermarkets. Only comment is that the self checkout is obnoxious and absurdly sensitive despite seemingly being the same software as Stop and Shop.

Solid nice grocery store better than most in the area, clean and should have what you need. Has boars head deli meats, does not have the massive mahogany isles of alcohol that can be found in the Newton and watertown locations

Appearances are deceiving with this Star Market. It looks like a small basic grocery store on the front but on the inside is every item you would need in here. Fresh Food and Sushi are sold here and they are checked every 30 minutes or sooner. There always seems to be some sale or bundle deal making this place great for individual or party shopping. If you live or work near here come by this place and get some food for any need

I visited this supermarket today. I needed to buy few things, grapes among them. Few packages of grapes I checked had mold in them. Looked for mixed berry smoothies - they were out of stock. The cashier seemed uninterested. This store would do well in the Soviet Union before the iron curtain fell. Not sure how this supermarket stays in business. I am not planning to visit it any time soon.

A smaller Star Market with a gaggle of the necessities. Since it is more of a neighborhood grocery store than one of the bigger ones, you might not find everything you are looking for, but the chances are that you substitute it for something else!My wife and I like to get mostly organic or natural whenever possible, and this Star Market has a pretty significant aisle for that. What really is impressive is the produce section, which strives to be an endearing endeavor while sort of feeling like there is a lack of sunlight.That is due to the corner that the store is tucked in. With an only entrance located towards the interior of the parking lot, you are able to exit through opposite ends of the same side as the entrance.Be aware when traveling to here, Commonwealth Avenue can be a little hectic around this area, so go slow, go safe, and make sure you have enough space on the road!

They changed their sound track a few months ago so now we have to listen to advertisements while shopping. I had to leave today because it was so loud I couldn't hear myself think. I've shopped at this store for 30 years and have put up with rude checkers, high prices, and over-crowded aisles because it is convenient to my house. No more.
