I went to the store located in Auburn, Ma to return some bags food bought by mistake and swap them for the right one and everything went smooth and easy. David, the gentleman that took care of my issue was very professional, very kind and very amicable. Thank you for the great help. Very please with the whole transaction

Love coming here. Always clean and well stocked. Unfortunately it appears they no longer sell my cat’s favorite Rachel Ray dry food though. They still have the best cat litter and cutest dog toys!

Would give 0 stars if allowed. Stay far away from this locations grooming services. We had our dog get his nails done by the grooming manager and she had the neck restraint so tight that our dog lost consciousness, pooping and peeing everywhere. He took several seconds to wake and his gums were completely white, could barely walk and panting like we’ve never seen. This has been reported to corporate and hope they find this individual unfit to groom nails, let alone be the grooming manager. She also has clipped his nails before and had a hard time so she informed us we should sedate him in the future but proceeded to say “don’t act like I told you that we are not allowed to work on sedated animals”. Bending the rules and nearly killed our dog.

DO NOT GO HERE!! They made my dog look ridiculous!! Uneven hair cut, didn’t cut my whole dog or bath or anything! Then they said “she was too nervous”.. she was not nervous. Please please do not bring your animals here

I tried to get my dog groomed here. Within 30 seconds of the staff taking him in, they came back out and told me that they couldn't groom him because he was pacing and panting when they first took him back to the grooming area. I didn't think it was unusual for a dog to be a little nervous his first time going to a new groomer, nor did the couple behind me in line who said that their dog usually acts the same way when they first take her in. The staff at least agreed to trim his nails, for which he sat completely still and did not fidget or make any sort of fuss, yet even after that they still would not do the full grooming. They said they thought he would pass out from stress if they tried to give him a bath and a blow dry, and they did not feel comfortable having him there.I took him to PetSmart in Millbury an hour later and they groomed him without any issues. The groomer there told me that he did a great job and was very well-behaved.

I book at Auburn Petco often because they always have openings, last time we had a bad experience there with Chelsea but figured I'd give them one last chance but today was the last straw the Girl there named Natasha B was rude like I've never experienced at any groomers. When I was explaining the services I wanted done for my dog , she was telling me what I should be doing instead and how to do it amongst other things. Never in my life have I been talked to like that as a customer.I didn't even give them a chance to groom my dog after the way that she spoke to me unprofessional doesn't even fit to describe Auburn Petco. I walked out and will never step foot in that store. Now I know why they always have grooming openings,a couple friends at the Auburn dog park warned me about that place I should have listened ,stay clear of Auburn Petco in Massachusetts. Poor poor service !! I would rate lower than 1 star if possible.

Groomers are AWESOME here! My tiny dog thinks she's BIG and is a handful to get nails trimmed. They always take her with a smile and easily get her done. Super friendly staff

Took my dog in for a nail trim. I went to pay and they started doing their work, came back and he was crying, then the groomer who started with him asked someone else to help, so they did.. then he yelped and yelped again and went to nip cause he was hurt and they told me they couldn’t complete the trim cause he was “aggressive.” Come to find out a day later, they cut in between his paws and he had bleeding and scabs. Do NOT recommend.

Do not take your dog here. I have never had an issue with grooming but unfortunately my regular groomer closed down and I had no choice but to come here. They left my dogs haircut super uneven & claimed “she was too nervous & nippy.” My previous groomer NEVER made any of these statements and my dog always looked amazing. They also have horriblecustomer service and the way they talk about customers behind their back when you’re standing in line waiting is horrible.Took my dog to a local small business instead and it’s the best thing i could have done & they complimented my dog for how well she was for her haircutt. Avoid this place like the plague

Our first time at Petco yesterday. I have a 6yo Maltese named Lucy. We just moved to town and it was not Lucy’s regular groomer so I was nervous on her reaction to Sam. Sam is our hero. She calmed. Cut her. Trimmed her nails.Made her smell like the pretty girl she is.We will be back!! Everyone else was nice too!! Give Sam a raise!!! We loved her !!

The place is fairly well kept. We get our dogs shots there. Sometimes we get him groomed and nails done and never had an issue. Nice people

We stopped here to get some fish for our son. The guy working the department was amazing. So knowledgeable he blew my mind. He was talking about certain bacteria in some fish's belly and compatibility. I honestly wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised.

This was my first experience using a franchise groomer. I was pleased with the experience and it appeared my dog also had a positive grooming experience. I love that we received a report card at pick up. That was sweet! Nora was our groomer and did a fantastic job. I was able to witness her handling of my dog and was pleased to see how gentle and caring she was with him.

Terrible customer service. Staff seems lost with zero personal skills. I've brought my yellow lab to Petco for over 5 years. Never had an issue until yesterday. I dropped him off only to recieve a call 5 min later to pick him up. Their reason, he was scratching in the cage. She stated he needed a VIP appointment and didn't have time. If they waited 30 seconds he would've been fine. They never offered to make it right. Theres no mention of this VIP nonsense. Only suggestion was.....maybe you should bring him to his usual groomer at the Shrewsbruy Petco. Maybe you girls should do your job. They are clearly not equipped to do their job. Pathetic service at the AUBURN MA, Petco. Save your money and time.

Love the team at Petco Auburn!Zac & Kayla in Training were so much fun to work with for Puppy Training! My little guy learned so much and it was easy to carry over to real life.Nora in Grooming is a life saver! In addition to my puppy I have a very skittish senior dog and Nora is so patient & gentle - I tell everyone to go see them!The store is well stocked, employees always greet us with smiles (and cuddles for a very pampered puppy who has charmed them all), and it's always a pleasure shopping!

My girlfriend and I got our 2 year old, Sullivan groomed at petco. I admit, I was nervous, especially because we have had some unsavory experiences with past grooming places- but this was a 10/10 experience from start to finish.Our groomer was Lucy, and right of the bat we fell in love with her compassion. She got down on the floor with my dog, who is skiddish and shy, and took her time to wait until he was ready to sniff her and come to her. She didn’t rush the interaction, and truly cared for my dogs safety and well being. We handed him off and he was ready within a few hours. We originally booked a nail trim, as well, but Lucy said that he wasnt quite ready for it and she didn’t want to push his boundaries. It was another level of compassion and empathy that goes above and beyond expectations- as much as we wanted his nails done, i am so thankful she listened to my dogs body language and didnt push him. We have a nail appointment for next week to try again- with Lucy. We are so so thankful for her for taking care of our baby and for easing our nerves. Her and Sully are besties now too, and i have a feeling this is the end of his fear of the groomers! <3

I came into the store looking for moss. I got help finding it. I also had a nice chat with someone about the coral display that I thought was quite interesting. It made me wish I had a saltwater tank. I checked out at the register with perhaps one of the nicest cashiers ever. It was great!

I have never been to a business that had more loving employees. Every person I have ever encountered at this business has blown me away with their caring natures. I love bringing my puppy here and shopping while he gets groomed by Caitlin every month. He has never been calmer with another groomer or better taken care of.

Dog training: don’t waste your money and time. I have 4 years old GSD who is a sweetheart but just like other dogs gets overly excited when she sees other dogs. I booked private session to receive guidance regarding this behavior and was denied service because my dog is being a dog. I was told that they can’t work with leash reactivity and posturing. I am sorry but aren’t you supposed to be a dog trainer and work with various breeds and issues? I was told that I would get a refund and a referral to the behavioral specialist. I got my refund and my “referral” was an a print out how to access some obscure website, what a joke! I am so disappointed in the complete and utter lack of customer service. If you don’t work with reactive dogs, then state it on the website! Or give a real referral! Don’t take money and waste my valuable time! I am a very busy nurse who loves her dog and yet you lied to me regarding your service and then gave me a hard time regarding my dog. You are complete and utter disgrace. Shame on you and I hope one day someone treats you just as terrible as you treated me and my puppy.
