Stopped by as we heard the chef/owner has worked at some of our very favorite spots where we used to live (such as Romaine's in Northboro and Great Road Kitchen in Littleton). The food was perfect and we can't wait to try more. Pizza was thin and crispy, wings were huge and very obviously fresh, ricotta meatballs were perfect (sauce not too sweet) and the fried pickles were perfect and must be a popular item as 4 or 5 other parties around us had them.The bar area has a great atmosphere and some of the dinner-meals looked delicious, though we were too full to order more. We will be back! Found our new favorite spot in the area.

Overall the food is pretty good and portions are generous. The salads are filling and the red mashed potatoes side is excellent. They have a wide variety of menu items - including various pizza dishes. Some vegetarian dishes include veggie tacos, eggplant parmigian, veggie pizza, and a variety of sides. Prices are a bit high for non-vegetarian entrees. Service is usually friendly. They also have a trivia night every two weeks.

This is a hidden gem that we just happened to find from a Google search. This restaurant and pub is Located right off of RT 119 in Ashby. A farmhouse/industrial style feel with great food and service. They offer dining settings in the main restaurant or pub as well as an outdoor area perfect for warm weather dining. The menu is simple but offers something for everyone. The atmosphere was cozy and clean. Highly recommended for a light lunch or a romantic date night. We were pleasantly surprised and will be back for seconds!Parking: Parking is located in the back of the building.

Ordered takeout while housesitting nearby. Margherita pizza is good; but the Brussels sprout appetizer is absolutely incredible. Almost too sweet; actually. Should really be on the Dessert menu 😆Will absolutely recommend it to my friend who lives nearby, and I'll be back (to try more dishes) when I visit them for sure.

Very good food and excellent service. Had breakfast with many good choices from the menu. Tried the omelet and blueberry pancakes. Both were very good. Server did excellent job.

First time at the 874 Cafe and already planning on our next visit. I rate it better than a 4 but not quite a 5 as they ran out of corn beef hash so the serving was very small.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch. We were in line for over 10 minutes waiting to be seated, along with a family in front of us. Eventually the family in front of us walked out.We waited another 5 minutes ourselves, not once did anyone great us, not once did anyone tell us their would be a wait. We were very disappointed and eventually walked out. To note there were many open tables available.

What a gem. We were treated so courteously by the sweet maître d’! Everything we ate at the Tavern restaurant was stellar, super flavorful and well balanced. To top it off we saw the chef taking plates out to guests — he clearly puts his heart into this place! Would return in a heartbeat.

It appears that chef Boyardee cannot tell the difference between shrimp scampi and shrimp alfredo. Avoid this place like the plague! The food is way too expensive, the beverages are suboptimal, the weight service is, at best, average, and the food is horrific. There's at least a dozen better options in the general area then this place. Given the lack of vehicles in the parking lot at primetime on a Saturday evening, we should have figured it out, but we went in, hoping for a lot better than what we received. Find a better option to spend your weekend evening!!!

We were a party of 8 for brunch on a Saturday morning. The place is so welcoming and beautiful decor. When we got there there were 3 tables and one was leaving. It took us 1h30m to finally eat. Staff was okay. It was the manager and cook (also owner). My husband's choice was bad. It was breakfast in a bowl and home fries were burned. He was trying to explain to the manager what was wrong with his plate and she was cutting him off, to pick another meal, she clearly didn't care about his reason. I would think you want feedback from your customers to improve. He ended up eating what I ordered corned beef hash. It was very good however home fries also burned. My friend had breakfast burger and again she wasn't able to eat the home fries. The coffee wasn't great. I won't try it for any other meal. If you serve fries that burned I can only imagine lunch and dinner!

Went for lunch today and both my daughter and I ordered the Cobb salad. We got lots of romaine lettuce, dry chicken, half of a boiled egg, very small pieces of cucumbers, couple of cherry tomatoes, Croutons, and 3 small slices of Avocado. Only thing this place has going for it is the atmosphere. Sat on the Tavern side and I could barely carry on a conversation as the music was very loud. Will not be returning anytime soon.

Haven't been since Sean has taken over, always crowded. Tonight we got seated right away. The food was delicious. Husband had fillet, that was done to perfection, I had the Brussel sprouts and wings. We would definitely recommend this place 👌

Everything was amazing! I didn't even think to get pictures of thr food until it was all gone. We tried a variety of apps and shared amongst ourselves. We stopped here on our way to a hockey game at Cushing Academy, and we're at glad we did! Has a gastro-pub menu vibe but unpretentious. We had a great Sunday morning brunch - I had an excellent brunch burger (cooked perfectly, and topped with a fried egg!). My daughter had a French toast special (they used cornflakes for extra crunch!), my son had a classic eggs Benedict ("amazing!" In his words), and my husband had steak and eggs. There's a cool looking cocktail menu too if you are into that (including brunch cocktails like bloody Mary, etc). Partway through the meal, they even lit the real fireplace. Setting is beautiful, we sat in a dining room that looks newly refurbished but gorgeous old exposed wood beams, and the tavern part looks historic and so charming. If we are in the area again we will definitely make time to come back!Parking: Big parking lot right in back of the building, accessible spaces right up front

Outstanding! This place is such a welcome addition to the area. Chef owner Sean Smith presents fresh ideas and fabulous food in a clean, relaxing, and uncluttered environment. Try the fries with truffle oil parmesan. So good! We loved the grilled pizzas and steak burgers. Can't wait to go back.
