They never have prescriptions ready and you always have to call to check on them which takes forever to get through to anyone. I never wait less than 10 minutes on hold. Then when I get through, I'm told they don't have the medication and it needs to be ordered.I get texts telling me my prescription is ready to be picked up only to be told when I get there it isn't actually ready yet, and they don't know why I got a text. This has happened a few times now.A few of the cashiers act like you're bothering them just by being there and have major attitude for no reason. I'm sure they deal with unpleasant customers all day but I'm not one of them so giving me attitude is unnecessary.I have gone to Rite Aid/Walgreens for years and I'm just done. I'll be using a different pharmacy from now on.

8/9/23 fed ex attendant cut me off after I was very pleasant and told me that they can’t scan the QR codes, which fed ex provides in order to return the package. So the process is supposed to be.. fed ex gives you something to scan so that walgreens can process the return for you.. so I drove over, presented the QR code and she says “we can’t scan that thing to process returns for you” went over to the Newburyport one, they did it in less than one minute with a smile. The woman at this location didn’t even say “the one in Newburyport does that” or “sorry about that, here’s another way you can do it” just, “nope, we don’t do that”. I see why this one is so poorly rated. Really put a downer on my day

I wish I could leave ZERO stars! I just went to Walgreens pharmacy for the last time. The people who work at the pharmacy are simply miserable and rude and I always leave wondering why I go back. Don’t bother here go to CVS where you’re at least greeted nicely with a smile, kindness goes such a long way. I understand they may be over worked and under staffed and I’m sorry for that but there is really no reason to be mean to anyone for no reason, it’s quite sad.

A very kind and helpful employee named Iris went above and beyond for me tonight. My whole week was stressful and challengi g. My remote key fob on my car needed a new battery. It stopped working when I had come out of a grocery store earlier in the evening. I Could not even get into my car and had to figure that one out.Then I proceeded to try three or four stores and almost gave up until I went into Walgreens. By then I was tired and stressed. Thankfully, They had what I wanted. Iris was kind, helpful and so gracious and offered to help me put the new battery in the car remote. She made my night! Thank you!!!

I would give 0 stars if I could. Completely incompetent. You talk to them on the phone, they tell you one thing, then go in person and they don’t know anything. Poor communication is an understatement.Also let’s add that the Pharmacy is closed on the WEEKEND!? Banana land move by this place. Stay away!

Do not use this pharmacy. Alters that your medications are ready is never accurate made several pointless trips. Also not being open on weekends and meds not being ready for hours after the alert can cause you to go without your meds. The pharmacy just shouldn’t be open if it’s this poorly run.

I have a great experience I left my medication at home in Florida I called Walgreens they worked with me and my insurance company and I picked up my medication the next day. The staff and the pharmacist were great. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have given this pharmacy, and this associate too many chances to correct poor customer service. I couldn’t tell you how her name is spelled because she is never wearing a name tag, but Christina (I had to ask the Pharmacist what her name was, and when I did she gave me the nastiest look while she already moved onto helping a different customer) in the pharmacy has zero motivation to help you. If she wanted to be a cashier, I’m sure the front of Walgreens could use one, but the pharmacy might not be the best fit.The auto refill system has not worked properly four times now, and apparently the way to handle a customer’s grievance is to doubt their claim, roll your eyes (twice), and just go get the pharmacist. You’d think I was referring to someone very young, and possibly starting out at their first job, however, Christina is a middle aged woman; who rolls her eyes & glares at customers. I hate leaving reviews like this or complaining somewhere that typically gives you good service barring one bad apple. I had hoped she was “having a bad day”, or “going through something” that would explain the lack of decorum but after this many times and a complete lack of apology/understanding I just can’t bite my tongue. A bad attitude isn’t a good look on anyone.

I been going here since it was Osco's, I was sorry to hear about Rite aid going down, Then we lost Trina head of pharmacy. There has been many things wrong since turning to Walgreens, but like any other changes it takes time. Eric, Dan, anD Ashley. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE OLD TEAM BACK ESPECIALLY TRINA!! Spent the night at the ER Friday. They called in my prescription for a strong antibiotic to get me back on my feet hopefully by early next week but guess what??? WALGREENS PHARAMACY IN AMESBURY is CLOSED on weekends!!!! How dare people have the audacity to get sick or run out of meds on the weekends right? This is beyond ridiculous...

This is just like any Walgreen's in so far as what they sell. Its a good location, easy to find and well-organized. I mostly use the pharmacy services and have found the staff to be helpful and efficient. Would recommend.

Got my prescription tonight had special instructions on the bag and they never explained that to me it was dark I did not see that till I got home... Very slow service .. will be switching to CVS
