Best little store ever! They have such a wonderful variety of foods and items that I never have to go to the grocery store again! Meats are amazing and home made chicken salad are a staple every week! Awesome customer service as well!

This is a small town grocery store, which means what they can put on the shelves restricted. Where this store really shines is in the meat department. The butchers cuts of Delmonico stakes are awesome! The hamburgers with bits of cheese, mushroom, and bacon are so tasty off of the grill.

Nice little market for a small shop. Meats are nice quality at low prices. Just started making breakfast sandwiches and keeping them up front my cash registers. All the cashiers are nice but Rory really stands out. Just efficient but a genuine person. I do enjoy that there’s a select few dairy free brands in store as well. Very accessible!

Vermette's has a great variety of excellent meats. Prepared to take home and eat for any meal. It is a cool store reminiscent of the 1970s family owned A&P stores.

Customer service could use some work. The prices are sometimes outrageous but their homemade products are worth it. Also the deals when there are some are incredible found a 3 pork roast for $0.99 once chicken for the same price another time and they always have plenty of time left on them to freeze.

Really nice what they just did!!! I literally got there at 5:48 and they close at 6:00. I was going to be in the for two minutes if that, just to grab milk for my baby. They shut the light off as soon as they seen me at the door! Nice local market we have. I get it, I work in customer service, your tired and you want to get out of there. HOWEVER YOU DO NOT SHUT THE LIGHTS OFF IN MY FACE WHILE YOU SEE ME AT THE DOOR. First of all the door should NOT have been locked 12 minutes before close. We depend on you to be our local grocery store, and we spend a lot of money there. I know I spend a lot of my money there! So rude. Thanks! I appreciate that great customer service. And she looked right at me!! That is what was so disrespectful.

Such a gem! I love the selection offered here - everything from the least expensive brands to many local and artisan options. They have almost anything you’d need and more. They have essentially a full liquor store, plus a tempting array of craft beer, and I love the local flower bouquets! Truth be told, sometimes it smells in there and that can be very off-putting to first timers. Push past it! You’ll be fine.

Unfortunately the deli has been down at times, however the store continues support local based community and with Maine and NH basic necessities, this store is Gem of traditional style service and handicapped doors entrance provide an opportunity to continue to support our local farms living on the east coast!:)

Glad this store has survived and thrived. Local little grocery store with a great selection of products. Their meat prices are good and always fresh. We are here 5+ times a week to grab things for dinner or lunch. I'd say a majority of the prices here beat S&S and some are comparable to the Basket. The employee's here are super friendly and helpful.

Love this place! Been coming here since the womb and its spoiled any other meat for me, because nothing can compare to this places butchery! And I love the chicken salad they have here! Fair prices and an easy grab and go location for a quick lunch or necessity!

Service here was so bad, had a very rude cashier and received no help at the Deli, while 3 of them just stood around 😑. The items are way overpriced. Needless to say, I walked and will not ever go back.

Vermette's is truly a gem for the City of Amesbury. Their staff is always friendly and accommodating. They always have what you need and is one of the last places around here that you can order your steaks to be cut the way you like them. Keep up the great work guys!
