I do not like cvs period , but this particular one had an overzealous loss prevention employee who falsely accused me of theft- over two thousand dollars for an attorney to get the charges thrown out and that’s not all cvs also caused me to lose my vehicle by saying my seizure meds were ready and being held - I go to pick them up and am feeling funny because I missed a day , guess what the super typical CVs employee said when I got there - oh we actually don’t have that in Stock and it’s a long weekend so we can’t fill it for three days . I had a seizure on my way home and hit a telephone poll- thanks CVs ! Tooo bad loss prevention wasn’t our for a walk after looting the store and standing in front of the pole. W whomever made no effort to help me fill my seizure med even when I explained to him I need them to drive and feel funny have no other way home!who needs a car and why take seizure medication as directed it’s not like it’s important if you drive or anything. I’m calling corporate and giving them an itemized bill for over five thousands dollars when it all is combined between the attorney fees? The humiliation of being almost 40 and having them make a rediculous scene accusing me of shoplifting ( i think the employee stole the stuff and blamed me I used to go in there a lot and the stuff that I supposedly stole but that no one could find because, I didn’t take anything I have a kid at home who needs me🤬, had been missing for quite some time . They lied and told the police they just faced the shelves and everything had been in its place . Total lie on the part of loss prevention: I have a feeling she loots the store and then gets the money back by having random people arrested . Fortunately I just got a ticket because the police finally realized this wasn’t making sense and the employees started screaming at the police for me still being there ( I hear the police say I don’t think she’s a danger to anyone I guess they don’t need to find their “missing merchandise” I know corporate is probably just going to act stupid but they wasted a lot of money I could have spent on my daughter and her dad who is dying of cancer - we don’t have a car anymore thanks to cvs so he has to take a bus to his treatments thanks CVs. That’s ok he can wait for his leukemia’s treatment! This company is the scum of the earth, you can probably meet nicer people on death row!

My insurance did not want to cover the name brand prescription and the pharmacist got it to go through, they worked their magic. Yes, they are very busy, but when push comes to shove CVS gets stuff done.

I was in this location the other day and I had three different people ask me if I needed help with anything and were very very kind and surpassed my past experiences with CVS locations in general! The pharmacy was also exceptionally kind to me! These reviews from a year ago seem to be outdated and since many only report on negative reviews I’m reporting positive so this 2 star review can raise up a bit!

Poor customer service in minuteclinic. Was turned away because tech "didn't have time" to get my insurance info from pharmacy...came in 45 minutes before my appointment.

I recently changed my CVS prescriptions from another local CVS pharmacy to this Amesbury location. I have been impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of the pharmacist, and the overall courtesy of those who work here. And, my prescriptions are available in a timely way. I am a happy customer.

Horrible experience. The pharmacy manager is so rude. I have never dealt with anyone this arrogant or unprofessional before! He does not deserve a job there or anywhere in customer service for that matter. Negative stars.

The techs and the new pharmacist helped move things along for sure. The pharmacist was understanding with my daughter just being at the hospital for over 4 days. He helped push things along with the pharmacy tech Diane and i really appreciate their support.

Good size store with plenty of selection. I went in to purchase some Essie nail polish and was able to easily find the Essie display. I did notice the store was a little messy and slightly dis-organized in some areas. The line was pretty long as nobody would go around the cashiers and use the self check out. Overall a totally normal experience. I would go back and I would recommend others. Also, use the app for rewards and coupons.

Typically I have so many issues with the pharmacy. Today, one of the pharmacy techs, Joanna, was incredibly helpful and patient. She answered all of my questions and was super helpful. She is the only reason I am writing this and the only reason for giving this place 5 stars. I know how understaffed they are (as a nurse myself, I get it.). Thank you Joanna for your kindness!! It goes a long way!

This review is exclusively for an experience I just had at the pharmacy. And I want to preface this by saying: I work in customer service every day. In fact I just had a really trying day at my customer service job when I came to the pharmacy and this happened. I also work in a profession where customer privacy and discretion are important, so I’m particularly shocked and disappointed by this behavior.I received a text that said I had eight days left to pick up a prescription. I came to the pharmacy four days later. The woman asked me for my name (spelled out) and date of birth four times while chewing gum and looking completely disinterested. That’s fine - I work with hard of hearing people and people going through hard times and I don’t take these things personally. But then, she walks back to where they keep the prescriptions and yells “I don’t have anything for you.” I told her about the text and asked if she wanted to see it. She said “You can show me but I don’t have anything.” (?) Then she asked which med it was. I told her the first two letters as the text relayed them. She then shouts back “Oh that was for the (name of medication) and it’s expired now.” And then stared at me until I asked what it would take to get it refilled.Okay. Regardless of the fact that I came within the eight day period, and I was given no explanation or apology for why the med wasn’t there, and this woman kept looking at me like I was scum… the thing that upset me was that she YELLED the name of my medication aloud. I understand confirming meds at the counter. But this was a violation of my privacy in front of other customers and honestly it was so humiliating that I think I need to change pharmacies.I’ve had fine interactions with the people at the front counter and even some of the other pharmacists. But this is medical ethics 101. Reading other reviews, I sense others have had the same pharmacist I had today (or someone quite similar). So it seems this rudeness and lack of ethics has been going on for years and management doesn’t care. So so SO not okay.

Horrible pharmacy. In so many different ways. They refuse to fill your prescription unless you physically are at the pharmacy waiting for the script. I've never even heard of that before. The floor in the store looks as though it hasn't been vacuumed in a year. I went back for two more months and it was even worse. The pharmacy staff are so rude. Unbelievably rude. They act like they are offended you are even there to get your meds.Walgreens down the street is pretty bad too, but a great deal better than this place. There is always a 20 minute line when I've come to get something here. The staff are not happy to help and process the line at a molasses-rate. It also smelled like something was rotting near the coolers with drinks. The last two times I was there, there were people leaving before they could be helped. I took some pictures of how dirty the floor and merchandise areas were. I am genuinely surprised this place is allowed to operate in the United States.

Called to check and see that my dogs new anti-seizure prescription was received and when I could pick up- it had been faxed successfully 3 hours prior. The biggest issue is that the person answering the phone could not have spoken to me in a ruder tone of voice. It was like she was trying to project her hate for her job/humankind as a whole through the phone-and I was very nice up until I got fed up with her attitude. The next person I spoke to didn't have the rude tone thankfully, but lacked empathy and understanding. As a manager of customer service quality and training in a medical setting, I am sure this is an area to be improved upon. The other more chronic problem with all CVS locations is that they seem to have a huge issue with receiving faxed prescriptions. It goes through successfully on the providers end but somehow they don't receive it. Weird because as someone who works on the provider end, I know that no other pharmacies share the same issue receiving faxes. I just want to get my dog his seizure meds tonight, but that may not happen because CVS's fax system is the absolute worst. I have several chronic prescriptions filled there and I am thinking it is time to switch.

I get a text stating that my medications are ready. I then checked the App which says I have no refills or prescriptionso ready. So I called them. It's surprising that people who are in a professional profession can have such a negative attitude, no patience and just plain rude. The woman that I spoke to said that she'll fill them and they'll be ready in a hour. Great these people are finally getting there act together. Nope! I went to pick up my medication to find out I can't pick them up. One is due the next day and the other is not due until the next 5 days. The female pharmacist has the worst attitude and she tries and act like she is the great I am. Who needs this type of behavior! So I switched pharmacy. This woman should not be working in this profession. She's rude and nasty.

Your front end is no better then the back end at the pharmacy. Do you teach customer service..?? I've never had such bad service as I have at this specific CVS. Your Pharmacy doesn't seem they even want to take the effort to help. Either way, this entire store had a huge training opportunity.

People need to be fired for their behaviors! How on earth can they hire people that have no manners at all to hand out life saving medications? My wife was just there to fill her anxiety medicine. The drive thru girl was so rude and unhelpful, she had to park and go in with our newborn baby girl!! So awesome that the place which is supposed to help you get better turns out to be one of your worst experiences of the day.

I've never had anything good or bad to say about this location... Until last night. I only had to pick one item up. When you're staying at the beach, you don't have many options close to 10 pm. I made it there at 9:55 pm to find the two employees had already closed down the registers and locked the doors. One item. That's all. "Sorry, we're closed." Only to see the same two getting their late night snacks from the gas station across the street. Thanks for nothing, guys. I'm sure the gas station doesn't close at 10 and if they do, they made the effort to stay open five extra minutes for you two, unlike what you two did. I hope they clocked out and were only paid until 9:55. If they're salaried, shame on them.

Pharmacy feedback: Had pre-scheduled flu shot appointments for my kids. We showed up on time, and waited almost an hour before just walking out with no shot. Went to the the pharmacy multiple times to check status and we were mostly ignored. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I've been waiting over 6 hours for a pain prescription. My girlfriend had a tooth removed and when we dropped the prescription off, we were told one to 1-1 1/2 hour wait. I called back after 2 hours and the pharmacist told me they were backed up from yesterday and it would be another 3 hours. It's been 6 hours and now no one is answering the phone. I've heard employees complaining before, when I was in line, that they are understaffed. This is a problem with management.

1:27p and I’m the only person in line with one small item to checkout and one RX to pick up. I wait as two registers are open with workers and no one acknowledges me. They see me but keep their heads down. Odd, but I patiently wait. At 1:30p they look up shut the metal window gate and say “oh, sorry we are closed” with a smile on their face as they slam the gate down. Odd, unprofessional and unkind behavior. This CVS in Amesbury is continuously short staffed. I had to wait on hold for over 20 minutes. The customer service is horrible. Seriously thinking about never getting my prescriptions or shopping there again. The staff at times can be just plainly rude!Is there such a thing with this business of customersatisfaction? My experience, No!

The two pharmacists were very rude and made me wait 30 minutes for my prescription while I was in the store. When I finally went in line to go pick it up they wouldn't give it to me because "they were closing for lunch" and I had to come back in another 30 minutes. Both very rude pharmacists and staff that never fill your prescriptions on time. I suggest just going to the Walgreens across the street.

I went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription yesterday at 6:30 pm because it was listed online that their pharmacy is open until 8:00 pm on Sunday. Drove half an hour there to pick up my meds, got there to only find out there is a sign posted on the door saying they closed at 2:30 pm. They should really update their timing online so people don’t drive all the way there for nothing. I’m never picking up my prescription here again.

Very helpful (in general) staff, but they constantly get things wrong. We've called in scripts that the staff claim were never received. They've put things on auto refill that don't need to be, and keep refilling them even after we tell them to take the script off the refill schedule. Recently we requested a refill of a steroid we've gotten there before, and were told after two weeks that the company 'can't get' that medication anymore (translation: they don't want to carry it).In another case, we have a script that insurance doesn't cover and keep telling them not to submit it to insurance and that we'll pay directly. They "don't know how to do that" so refills are constantly being rejected. If our insurance wasn't in bed with this company, we'd go elsewhere.

This CVS just sucks out loud. The pharmacy is a circus act, every single time! When you have someone on the phone, they are all that you should be concerned with in those moments, rushing them off the phone, rudely hanging up isn't good Customer service. This store needs retraining.

Extremely rude and unhelpful and act as if we're bothering them if we have a question to the pharmacist, totally unnecessary for the way they treat their customers and going to start using Walgreens pharmacy I've had it with CVS pharmacist and their staff

Terribly inefficient pharmacy-don’t get your every day prescriptions filled here unless you want constant frustrations and lonnggg wait times on the phone- they never pick up when you need to speak to a real person, and the automated refill system is awful

So poorly managed: Once I received the wrong number of pills and had to defend myself to my prescriber (only 30 when it should have been 45); I have waited on hold for more than an hour; I was given the wrong prescription once (serious mistake, so always check); I was told my prescription was ready but when I arrived at Drive Thru it wasn't; only one Drive Thru lane is open (they say it's broken but they are just seriously understaffed). I only go there for convenience but everytime I tell myself I should change. Terrible management!

A big thank u to the gentleman in the pharmacy I spoke with on Fri, 9\17\21 around 8:30 am. I needed (so I thought) to refill my Basaglar insulin cuz I noticed I only had a couple of days left. He informed me I wasn't due until October that I picked up my last script 9\3 (day we were leaving for vacation) so I explained I had been increased but he still explained I should have a few pens left. I have an extremely bad memory so I went thru my calendar & realized he was right, I was missing some pens so I went on a search & viola...they had slipped down the back of my fridge. I normally keep them in a mini fridge in my bedroom so looking in the kitchen fridge never occurred to me. I would have never found them if I didn't remove everything in the fridge or if that gentleman hadn't told me I should have some left. A big big thank u to that gentleman. 😀
