My husband and I went there to bathe our dogs this morning. I took my wedding rings off and forgot them. I called two hours later when I noticed they were gone. The employees found them and put them in a safe. I can’t imagine if they hadn’t seen them or someone else had and they were gone. I appreciate it so very much!! Thank you for being so wonderful!!!!

I love the selection of dog toys there. Prices are very reasonable. I bought my beloved Tobykins a stuffed snake for part of his 13th birthday presents. It is worth it to sign up for their loyalty card. I received a 5 dollar credit towards my purchase. Their selection of foods and other supplies is great. Pricing is better than some big box pet stores.

Me personally, I loved this place so much more when it was just mainly a pet store, but what can you do? It's very clean, customer service is wonderful, friendly and very helpful! It truly is a great store! BUT $38 for a 16 pound bag of cat food is outrageous!! I've seen $28.98 and $30.98. Next time I order online sadly! My main reason to visit these days is to see CeCe the hyacinth macaw 💙💙

my dog has a history of anxiety and never seemed happy after being groomed until this place! she was actually happy afterwards and her coat was a completely different texture, much softer and fluffier (black lab mix)

This is my go-to store for all of my dog and cat food, supplies, and toys. Staff are friendly, helpful, and know their customers. The store is always neat, clean, and organized.

The people who work here are very friendly and have great customer service skills, but the store itself is not impressive. Prices are high, and it's a bit run down. When this was Dave's store, it was much better. I would have given 0-1 star if it wasn't for the decent employees.

Great customer service experience!!!This past Sunday on our way home from picking up our new family dog we stopped into your Agawam, Ma location. My Wife stayed in the car as my daughters & I went inside. It has been a while since we had a dog in the house so we were overwhelmed with having to restock the house with all the essentials to make our new friend comfortable and feel at home. As I stared dumbfounded at the end of one of the aisles Joe approached me and offered his help… he must have seen the confusion in my eyes as I was trying to read labels to figure out which was the best food for our new puppy.. Joe was very personable and helpful… he listened to my daughters and I tell him all about our new little guy and even walked us around to help pick out everything we needed. He made what could have been an extremely long wait for my wife and puppy into a seamless and easy shopping experience for my whole family. This was the first time we have shopped in this location but definitely not the last.. We will be back again soon… We promised to bring in our little guy to thank Joe in person next time.Great customer service experience,Thank youBrian Mullen

I’ll be honest I miss Dave’s and In the start I was a bit upset about smithlands replacing Dave’s but they are top notch. There store is clean, it’s setup and organized nicely and the self serve grooming station is also very convenient. Absolutely would recommend.

Decent place. Was nicer before in my opinion. They seem to have what we are looking for most of the time. Although finding non-fish cat food is getting difficult. Our cat is allergic so we can't just switch for a few days until they get more.

They have a great selection of things including fish and other pets. It's pretty much like Dave's Soda and Pet food city just no where's as many birds. Nice place and friendly staff which is always great.

The store looks shabby, underlit, needs a face lift. However we found some really good deals in dog food there so I'd prefer 10 percent lower prices rather than a new coat of paint if that's the reasoning.

I walked in today to the Agawam store to get my normal dog supplies (I’m usually there once a week) and walked out with a new gas grill. The employees of Smithland are extremely polite and helpful. We were interested in a grill and the cashier had us speak with the manager, Joe, who was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and helped us to our car to load the grill. Also, I am a landscaper and a lover of gardening and I love the fact that Smithland offers the best of both worlds in which I love. I love all of the supplies and decorative products!!!

Place is expensive ! and needs to move their dog clothes away from the rodents. It's hard to dress a diva that just wants lunch lol. Should have a bench of different heights to put the dogs on to change them easier.The new set up is a bit overwhelming.But looking forward to going back when the weather screams dig in dirt.. 😊

The first time I entered Smithland I was disappointed it seemed more like a garden center with expensive patio furniture. A few weeks later I saw one of their advertisements for my cats favorite food. Well I went and YES!! The owners realized that Dave’s existed because it was a town established business and everyone knew Dave the owner. So that small hometown pet show vibe is back. The Daves staff and the prices are lower. Definitely going back with my Dog. He loves that place.

I still call Smithfield, Dave's because my doggie understands what I mean when I tell her "let's go to Dave's for your bath"~she loves both, Dave's & taking her bath there!!The people that work there are Great. They are usually knowledgeable about all products & don't mind helping ya out.And something you don't get often= if you must return any item & you don't have receipt, it's ok, if you used your store card, they can just look it up!!Smithland has a large selection of items, for yard, farm & animals. There are some unique yard/patio furnishings and they are expensive, but the cost may be justified because of the quality (?) of product.Prices reflect what is happening everywhere= unexplained increases. And when you want to buy specific bagged soils, & such; It's easily accomplished because, above the registers @checkout is a lg, clear pictures of every soil, moss, ground cover & it's price❗Very convenient ✌️

Loved the dog washing station! Everything we needed was provided and staff was very friendly and helpful! Definitely worth the money and of course we had to pick out a toy while there.

Great place to purchase quality cat food. Great variety, top of the line brands, good amount of stock, and displayed so you can tell what the items are without needing magnifying glasses. Oh, the staff is also very helpful and friendly!

One of the my son's favorite stores to come to. We have to check out all the birds and CC the beautiful macaw of course. Then all the fish and small animals before we get our pet snake his dinner and our catfood and any garden supplies we need. Love the selection of outdoor fountains and lawn chairs and swings.

Took our dog for a bath, while it's still a great place.Disappointed they took the extra step out for the dogs to get in & out easier. Also Disappointed also that the shampoo & conditioner dispenser wall is gone with multiple choices, now it's just single choice.

I came here with my mom to get soda. This place sells soda, Arizona Ice tea, Gatorade, powerade and other drinks, garden equipment, garden accessories grills, outside decorations, cats and dog food, cats and dog toys, bird cages, birds, geckos, fish tanks, fish and other different animals and food for the animals. they also have a dog washing room in the back of the store. They also have dog classes. The parking lot is big with handicap parking and handicap accessible entrance. The floors are clean the staff are nice, friendly and helpful. You can bring your dog and animals here. This place also use to be Dave's pet store before it got sold to smithland pet and garden. The inside of this place is big.

Went to get my dogs washed they give you towels and they have shampoo and conditioner but I brought my own shampoo. The place was pretty cleaned and its alot easier for me to wash my 2 dogs. The people that work there are very nice and helpful

Love this local business. They have the best of both worlds. Small business customer service, with conveniences and prices of a large business.They have very knowledgeable staff, who I actually feel like I can trust, and there is always someone in the aisles available to help you if you should need it. They price match online websites, and offer a loyalty program with coupons, rewards, and promotions. They carry the better quality, harder to find brands of dog and cat food and are never out of stock.Just all around a wonderful store. Clean, friendly, and convenient.

The employees we're super friendly when we had to bring the dog in for a bath; he got sprayed by a skunk and doesnt like other dogs which makes it hard. Not only did they provide a private bathing room, they gave us four diff washes which worked amazing. Thanks for great customer service !

We went in yesterday in a frazzle because my shepherd was skunked. The gentleman who helped us was awesome! He directed us to the best products to buy for the situation. My dog is a difficult one around others so he set us up in the private bath. Between the soaps they provided and the chemicals he suggested you can't even tell my dog took a direct hit from the skunk. We made a mess in that room with my dog making it all wet trying to escape. We offered to clean it but they said no problem we will take care of it. I am very impressed by everyone we interacted with. Thanks Dave's!
