I was just traveling through North Adams for the first time. The rest of the staff was nice except for this blond older lady who followed us around the whole time. The cashier who cashed me out was extremely snotty. His name was Jordan. He made ridiculous facial expressions at my grandmother. I work in retail and I know workers can have rough days but this was definitely a personality thing. If that’s how you talk to customers you shouldn’t be in retail. Extremely unpleased. Apparently other people know about him too. We definitely will go somewhere else whenever we go back to town.

I so love dollar gen. They always have a clearance table which I love. But also our local store has very friendly employees that remember you and ask how you are. I like shopping there for basic essentials or a quick toy for my girl.

Store is very dirty. Merchandise all over the place especially on floors. Staff not using safety protocols, no masks, no sanitizer. If you're looking for something in particular, don't bother looking for it where it should be because mixed in somewhere else. How this store doesn't get screamed at by corporate is beyond me.

This store mislabeled two items I was purchasing and those items scanned at a more expensive price at the register. I pointed this out to the woman who was working the register. She agreed with me and then called her manager. The manager said that I would still have to pay the higher price. Not only bad business practices, but illegal to not charge the advertised price. I will never go in there again.

I love every dollar general store. Fun stuff great prices and the staff is very kind and honest. The cashier thought I left a bag at the counter. It was about 20 degrees n snowing but he still ran out to the parking lot found me and returned the bag.a very good experience.

Enjoy shopping Dollar General! Store was inventoried well and most of all, the cashier was pleasant and gracious! Some of the aisles were a bit cluttered!

Review is for North Adams store only.I have no problems with the staff at this store. They are always professional and prompt.This is the only dollar general store that I've ever been to that didn't carry milk or accept "food stamps" or whatever they call the program in Massachusetts.Every time I've been in this store somebody has come in expecting cheaper dollar general milk and walked right back out when they realize there isn't any (it's about 1 dollar cheaper than big y)I have a sneaky suspicion this is due to Big y exerting some type of control on DG in order to allow the store so close to them...

It was a really bad experience . I had a basketful my special needs daughter needed to use the bathroom. Her father had died and her nerves and emotions were getting to her I asked the lady if my daughter could use a bathroom and she said no I explained the situation and she rolled her eyes and hissed at me so I left and went next door.

Items here can be name brand and they still cheaper than most other stores, including Walmart, which banks on you buying more than you planned to or steering you into higher priced products like TV sets... it's hard to spend too much in Dollar General!
