We have nothing but good things to say about this office! The facility is very nice and everyone we've interacted with has been friendly, caring and professional. Our 8 year-old rescue bulldog is a frequent flyer and Dr. Field and the staff are always responsive and take great care of her.

When we moved from the city it was an adjustment. Our family veterinarian became as trusted as much as our own doctors. So, we were apprehensive to change veterinarian but the drive was just too far. Now, Honestly I would recommend Powder Mill over our old veterinarian of 18 years. The entire staff is amazing. They are attentive, compassionate and I always feel they empathized when things got tough with our older dog. They take care when helping. I've never felt more comfortable entrusting someone with the safety of our beloved animals. Thank you everyone!

Everyone at Powder Mill Animal Hospital is terrific - from the staff at the door to the people behind the scenes to the vets themselves. Whenever I call, they email me what I am requesting, or a get an appt promptly, or they make internal inquiries and get back to me ASAP with a response. I loved my old vet but this team is really great and I highly recommend them.

I cannot say enough great things about Powder Mill. Dr. Field and Dr. Kang took care of our aging Aussie and Lab, and advised us with the utmost care and compassion through many ups and downs in their later years. They are very skilled as vets. They always figure out how to fit us in for semi-urgent things. The front office staff are friendly and helpful. Bills are straightforward and reasonable. The thing that really blew me away was when our dogs died the entire staff signed a handwritten note and mailed it to us. The vets and staff go above and beyond and they really care about their patients.

We started going to Powder Mill several years ago after searching for a new vet and we can't say enough about Powder Mill and how amazing everyone is! We have 2 dogs - 1 being a bit anxious when it comes to going to the vet, and they always do everything they can to make sure her experience is as pleasant as possible. The other dog cries to get out of the car and cannot WAIT to get inside to see everyone. It may be one of her favorite places to visit! I highly recommend Dr.Field and all of the wonderful team members at Powder Mill!

Our senior dog has seen both Dr. Kang and Dr. Margolis for continued supportive care and evaluation of her condition and they have both been fantastic. Careful examination, very empathetic; I think they go above and beyond. Plus, you get their SOAP note and recommendations emailed to you so you can better track you pets care.

We bring all three of our pups to Powder Mill, and I absolutely can not speak highly enough about Dr. Fields and Dr. Kang (I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Margolis yet!), as well as their entire staff. I mean, holy smokes. The kindness, compassion, the way they all listen to your concerns and never make you feel silly for bringing in your dogs over "small" things. If we ever leave Maynard I'll drive any distance to bring my dogs here.

There are no words that can describe how much I appreciated everyone here at the powder mill animal hospital when I had to make the heart breaking decision to put my beloved 20 year old cat (Jessica) to sleep. She lived with kidney disease for the past few years, and she was struggling for a while. Although I missed my fur baby’s purr, sweetness, wonderful sense of humor, snuggles, and two decades of amazing memories, I realized that she was suffering tremendously. The doctor and staff here were so warm and kind, they offered to give us time with Jessica before, during and after to say goodbye. No one rushed us with our process, and we were offered a lot of love, positive affirmation and support. Although we are still mourning the loss of our fur baby, I wanted to take this time to show my respect and appreciation for all the wonderful staff members who helped us say goodbye to Jessica. An added bonus, we just received a lovely condolence card (handwritten card) from all the doctors and staff from Powder Mill animal Hospital. I appreciate this so much! I love personal touches like this! I started sobbing because this card also had my cat’s paws in there as a token of remembrance. Thank you all for being so wonderful! If we ever have another fur baby in the future, we will definitely make powder mill animal hospital our hospital. You all are the best!!!

Love the facility and the people, but I don't know what to make of Dr Margolis. Came in for a specific issue, and were paired with her for diagnostics. We plodded through a trial-and-error phase over the course of many months and 4 medications. After 6 visits and some Insistence, we finally got vitals drawn and a lab workup.Dr Margolis emailed that the lab results 'look great', and reassured us that 'we are in a good spot to move forward' with her latest guess of an oral medication, which is unsafe for human skin contact (and counter-indicated by implications of the lab results).We asked for the lab paperwork directly, and found that Dr Margolis had either not read it at all, or blatantly lied about what she had read. 7-of-40 line items were in the red, with results so bad that even the lab suggested further imaging and continued monitoring.Given the breakdown in the scientific method from an early stage, and her penchant to filibuster with recited school lessons rather than listen to and consider the evidence at hand: I ask the public to reconsider your experiences with Dr Margolis and accept-as-real any doubts you've had.

Have trusted our Chi’s with Dr. Anne Fields and staff, forever. The care is amazing. There is no weak link. Dr. Kang is a new partner who is wonderful. Both are Cornell graduates. The other members of the crew are a perfect complement. They are open every day of the week. Emergency care is generally referred to Angel Memorial in Waltham for after hour care. What is not to like?

I brought my cat Ichabod to to The Powder Mill animal hospital to be treated for an allergic skin issue. My cat absolutely loved the Veterinarian, she is kind and gentle and he doesn't mind going back for his follow ups. They treat you fairly when billing also. I am so happy to have found this diamond of a woman Yuan Kang in a sea of pebbles! Thank you Dr. Kang! You have renewed my faith in Veterinarians and human compassion towards animals and the people who love and care for them.

We're traveling, so a thousand miles from our dog, Chip's vet. Chip had a sebaceous cyst rupture and needed care. My brother and sister in law have used Powder Mill for years with their dogs and recommended them. They didn't have an appointment for days, but took our number in case of cancelation. An hour later they called and we were in there by 4:30. They were amazing. Super friendly and knowledgeable, they new what to do, what to recommend, and Chip was doing great. We expected a $400 bill but it was less than $200. If we ever live here, Powder Mill will be our vet.

After moving to the area about a year ago, we started bringing our dog to see Dr. Field at Powder Mill Animal Hospital. We have been so happy with our decision to switch to this vet practice. The office is always clean (with coffee available), appointments are timely, and prices are fair. Most importantly, I love how communicative Dr. Field (and the rest of the team) is about Leo’s care. It is really comforting to know that I can send a photo if I’m concerned about a symptom at home, and Leo likes that I am allowed in the exam room (he used to be afraid of the vet because he had to go in alone). Thank you for providing such great care!

The most friendly (and the most cleanly!) veterinary hospital and clinic I have ever been to. The drive for us is 45 minutes each way; but I would drive double that to ensure my pets are being properly cared for, and the staff at Powder Mill are #1 in my book!

Went to PMAH today with my reactive gsd and they were so sweet and accommodating.Extremely bright and clean facilities, and everyone was so kind and professional. I had a long list of concerns (from small concerns like potential dental products to big concerns like a growth on her back), and they addressed every single one comprehensibly with care, then they gave me clear steps on how to move forward with each one.Dr. Field is amazing, and she has a great team with her. They even go above and beyond with a cute welcome-bag and professional-quality photos of your pet for their profile. I'm so happy to have found this place <3

I can't say enough positive things about Powder Mill Animal Hospital. We've been going there since 2020 when we adopted our puppy Jojo. As first time dog owners, we had no idea what to expect regarding dog health issues. Early on, it seemed like we were there every other week for one issue after another. They were always so kind, supportive, and available regardless of what was going on. They continue to be extremely responsive and helpful. Their hours are wonderful. Since our dogs have come here, the staff has been nothing short of excellent. My dog recently had a surgery and I was worried about her being alright. Our family and pets love Powder Mill. The facilities are welcoming, clean, warm, with a spot for kids to play while waiting. This place is the best!! Everyone is as warm and welcoming as they are helpful. Dr. Kang is very patient and accommodating, and she always takes the time to talk things through with me. I have had some bad experiences at other places with doctors being condescending, and this place is the opposite of that -- very earnest and patient people. They all seem to remember my beagle Sadie and love working with pets. Can't say enough good things about Powder Mill!!!
