Great place. Excellent array of products and knowledgeable and friendly staff. They helped me pick (and fit) my cat with a new harness. Having purchased harnesses that he and I hate (poor design, wrong size, or both) 4 times before, it’s a relief to have done it correctly with someone who knows what they’re doing.

I buy all of my canine products - food, treats,etc. at this store. This is one of only two or three specialty pet stores that carry premium food products, and high quality leashes, harnesses that are manufactured by US companies.I just purchased 2 Ruffwear front range dog harnesses for my two Scottish terriers. The staff is highly knowledgeable and polite.I was in the store today to get a small bag of Origen Original and a pillow for Pete’s car crate.I was very pleased to throw the store had stocked up on travel crates, blankets pillows, and travel accessories or the car. Great job!Yesterday I took Willoughby to my favorite pet boutique for a new collar and lead. He was introduced to the staff members. I picked out dog tags for Pete and Willoughby to be engraved on their new machine.Also while at LC yesterday, I visited the Rolling Pizza Kitchen with solar powered ovens. The pizza was awesome.Saturday, March 14, 2020Willoughby went to see Kim and Sarah, his two favorite people in the pet universe. Why, you ask? Well, they have the goodies. Got Willoughby a primal food supplement, and got Pete a bag of his favorite kibble - Origen original formula.

The staff is super friendly and they do such a great job grooming here! My dog, Pixel, is a big, hairy Shepherd who was blowing out her coat. They had her completely de-shedded, shampoo'd, blow dried, nails trimmed and ears cleaned in under 2 hours!! And they loved her, so that's always a plus ♥BEFORE PICTURE: (the picture on the grey dog bed) Look at all that HAIR!AFTER PICTURE: (in the picture with the red carpet) After I picked her up with a rawhide-alternative snack she got from their shop too. And the purple bandana picture. Pix loves them! ♥

This is my favorite spot for all dog things. Kim and Courtney take care of our food (Origen) and grooming. Courtney does a great job grooming one of my Scotties (Willoughby). Great premium treat selection. The best place to shop for your fur buddy, and I continue to come back.Yesterday, on my way in to Loyal Companion, I met Karen from the Acton Dog Park Coalition in front of the store, and her colleague, Ms. Siska, both promoting the value a dog park would add to Acton.It would be the equivalent to a community center for dogs and their human companions to interact and socialize with other canine’s and dog lovers, in a controlled environment.The park would be a great benefit for the elderly, the majority of whom have pets. So much to love about this store: lots of organic and non-commercially produced food; good selection of safe interesting dog toys that dogs actually love; great healthcare products; and a super nice and knowledgeable staff. Maybe a little more $ but more than worth it.

The Staff at Loyal Companion is outstanding. I went there and asked for advice on switching dog food. The Store Manager Kim explained several brands that would work well for my Golden Retrievers. I ended up with Fromm Lamb Recipe. My dogs are thriving. Each time I go in the store the staff members take the time to answer my questions and they truly care giving great service. I recommend Loyal Companion in Action on Great Road to all my friends with animals. Also they support local animal rescues groups which is amazing!!

The staff here is always so helpful and their groomers are incredibly considerate and listen to the needs of owners and their pets. As for Loyal Companion as a company... the BEST rewards system ever! We receive $10 and/or $50 off coupons many times throughout the year. Support local businesses!

This is by far my favorite Loyal Companion location (and I have been to quite a few). It is truly a pleasure coming to shop at this store because of the staff and goods that are carried here. Kim, the manager, and the rest of staff are friendly, helpful and overall just truly kind people, who make it evident they really care about what they do. They also go out of their way to get to know their customers and pets, which is not something I have experienced at other pet stores. I would give this store a 10 star rating if I could.

I drive an extra 25 minutes for this location— and I am less than 10 minutes from one. My dog’s food was hard to find and my local one rarely had it in stock. I shared my excitement once about finding it and they immediately offered to order for me. My local store never offered that. We’ve been doing this for about a year now and it’s worked perfectly. I love this one! If the manager leaves I’ll follow her to her store! Highly recommend!!

Excellent nail trim today, probably Franklin's best ever! Lee the groomer was so patient with our 90 lb cry-baby. Frank had some uneven nails and some cracked ones that Lee cleaned up beautifully. Superb service!

Kim and her staff are unfailingly helpful and cheery. Also, kind to all dogs and not stingy with the treats! They have been very good about coxing our little, anxious terrier mix into the back for nail clipping and the occasional bath.The highest recommendation!

We have been to a half-dozen Loyal Companion locations in the metro west area, but the Acton one has the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff of the bunch. Great job on clipping the nails on our nervous Chihuahuas and the groomer lady was caring and careful. The people at check out were upbeat and helpful. Other staff guided us to sensible purchases (neither the most expensive nor the least). We now prefer to come to this location rather than the one closer to our house.

I would like to recommend the groomer name Lee. I use grooming services for my tripod dog and he handles him well. All groomers work commission Only. Well organized clean store and knowledgeable team.

This review has absolutely nothing to do with staffing or this location in particular, but as someone who loves Loyal Companion for reasons of having healthy options, careful ingredients and a great selection I have to write this.I’ve shopped here for almost 3 years with multiple locations all the over MA. Over the last 2 weeks every location near us has been out of our dogs food. So we resorted to Chewy because I have a job and cannot drive to 4 loyal companion locations that close at 6 and open at 10.The hours here are the most inconsiderate due to people who have a normal job and work on the weekends. It’s hard to get to pet store when you have work until almost 6 pm and to maybe get there and them not have your item. Please make your hours normal for people who have working lives because as someone who went out of my way to take my dogs to LC and buy all their necessities there, you have completely lost my business as a client due to your poor structure of a business model.

I have shopped here since I moved here in 2002. It was another store then ti merged and became Loyal Companion. I shop here because it is important to me to have a local pet store. They have always been friendly, helpful and knowledgeable while also providing competitive prices.

I love this store! It is clean and spacious. The staff is very helpful helping you to find the right food for your pet, and super knowledgeable. I have received coupons by email, and there is a reward system for discounts and a clearance section in the store. you can't go wrong .

Went by today because I wasn’t sure if pet stores would be considered “essential” during the pandemic store closings. They are. But they didn’t have my usual dog food. Kim gave me a small sample of a different one to try on my allergy prone lab. She was helpful and kind and the store was immaculate. I assume they cleaned up due to the virus worries but wow. They did a great job. Thanks Ladies.

I truly missed not having this store open during COVID-19. I buy all of our dogs raw meat here, and get him groomed. The staff are especially friendly and someone always answers the phone! They treat my dog with love and compassion.

This store has all the essentials for my 2 dogs. I was able to stock up on Stella & Chewy's raw and bully sticks for the next 2 weeks--and thank you to the amazing staff for bringing my order to my car via curbside! Just picked up a big bag of food and some odds and ends curbside. So convenient, easy, and safe...and they wouldn’t even let me tip! This has been the only place I’ve gone for dog supplies, even back when it was Especially for Pets, and the staff are always super helpful and friendly. Let’s support them through the COVID quarantine. Buy local and stay away from Amazon. Call in your order and pick up curbside!

One of the employees named Sara was very helpful and had a lot of knowledge about the products they sell. She was such a big help with getting the best for my dog Bama. Super welcoming environment. Courtney at Loyal Companion in Acton is an EXCELLENT groomer! She is thoughtful, competent and extremely innovative. With the Pandemic, I had chosen not to get my dog professionally groomed and have been whacking at his fur over the months, especially around his paws as we live in the woods and there’s tons of pitch! She was able to fix him up beautifully today and work around my stabs at grooming. She was delightful in her human interactions as well as her canine ones! A true pleasure, Courtney! Thanks for fixing my boy up today✨

My husband took my puppy for nail trim and cleaning teeth at the Acton location. She was with the groomer for less than 5 min. Her nails were not trimmed properly, I could feel the sharp edge.When I called the lady next day, she says my dog did not allow her to cut the nails. Where as when my husband asked the groomer how the dog did, she was like "she did so good......." Why didn't she tell him on the spot. I had two experience with them which were not good.

Delayed for a grooming appointment by 15 minutes due to unavoidable circumstance (dog wanting to do his business). Called store to inform them we would be late while on the way. The gentleman on the phone just told me we cannot take him - didn’t offer to reschedule, help in anyway - pretty poor phone etiquette.Won’t be going in this store for my dogs grooming or any thing any more.

Love this store, we have our goldens groomed here and buy all our dog food through them, we use Froom and the dogs love it. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. Also love that you can bring the dogs into the store with you so they can pick out their own toys or treats
