This store has gone so far downhill, I don't know what Stop and Shop corporate could do to fix it, or of they even care. While this is the worst place I've seen, they all seem to stop caring about having quality, unspoiled food on the shelves and focus solely on profits. It's the same reason they have so many self-serve checkouts and only 1-2 staffed checkouts - hit those profit margins and set the next ones higher! They are not handling food safely, leave spoiled meat out for shoppers to lose their appetite over, have rotted produce, and all this is while people are stocking the area. But the staff members DO NOT remove the rotted food. They put it on top of the fresh stuff - including the lettuces, leaf spices, onions, etc. This isn't once in a while - which would unacceptable to me, in and of itself - this is consistently every time I have visited this store this year. The cheese picture was taken about a month before the expiration date on the package. The meat was taken at a different time. I've had it with S&S and will be going to Market Basket instead. If they won't clean up their act and start caring about customers health and well being by getting rid of their spoiled food, consumers should teach them a lesson by not patronizing their business until they either do care and clean up or go out of business. It's time businesses stop treating customers like a line item.

My girlfriend and I live within five minutes of two other Stop & Shop stores, but we'll be driving 15 minutes to come here from now on. For one, the prices are better than those other stores and the Shaw's. Secondly, the store is large: good selection and wide aisles. Lastly, and I hadn't noticed this until my girlfriend pointed it out, but the cashier and bagger were very cute together and kind to the customer while doing an effective job. Thank you to the cashier with the nails and pizazz!

Only 2 stars because of the great staff. Stop n shop doesn’t care about their customers anymore, charging for bags and also the ridiculous “digital” coupons. They advertise a 3 for 12$ bottle water and when I self checkout the deal doesn’t register and I’m told I have to get a digital coupon and I just refused because I tried before on a pineapple sale and download the app and created a log in just to not be able to figure out how to actually get the deal. I’m very tech savy and couldn’t do it , never mind our elderly that area up to date on technology. The digital coupons is a pitiful excuse to get your email and data and they should be ashamed making customers go through a hassle just for advertised sales.

Most disorganized grocery store I’ve ever been in. The several resets this store has had does not make sense to the customers. Needs to be reorganized so people can find stuff easier. The produce is rotten many times and the cost of goods, even the stop in shop brand, cost more than local competitors with their brands. Wishing this store was a food-coop.

I like this stop and shop always see a couple faces that have been there for ages n I love that, people that show up to work and stay consistent rock in my eyes. Tells me your loyal I can rock with that. So glad they updated their self-scans, thank you y’all actually listened to my previous review, although didn’t know you could review same place twice? Thought only edit a review? Either way, I’m grateful to have at least one stop and shop in Brockton. Only see these bomb bundles of joy that melt in your mouth at stop n shop, n I get around.

This is not my favorite Stop & Shop located in Brockton Montello Street. My favorite Stop & Shop is the one in Braintree. More options nice and clean

Great experience at the Abington Stop & Shop. Shelves were well stocked, variety was plentiful, produce was fresh and displayed well. Check out was fast and extremely pleasant. I live less than a mile from the Whitman Stop and Shop and I drive to Abington primarily because of the staff.

We bought salmon there yesterday and ordered skin off. But when we got home we saw that it had skin on. We came back today to buy more salmon and talked to Anthony, who took care of us. And he did a great job with our salmon. And a great service. We just want to thank him for the way he treated us.

I'm fed up with the deli people at this location. The woman today must have been on pain killers. It took her 10 minutes to get one item for the man in front of me and she had to ask 3 times what he wanted.......and then started slicing the wrong thing. I only know because he stopped her and corrected her. I'm next, she stares blankly at me and starts chatting about something I care nothing about. Finally, she decides to ask what I would like and takes 10 minutes to get it. While she's slicing I go get two items in produce to make up for the waste of time. When I get back, she says she forgot how much I wanted. So, I just take what she had already. I would have ordered more, but didn't want to deal with her any more.The other two have perfected the art of looking busy while not actually doing anything. They avoid eye contact and randomly walk out to the cheese bin and wing station. Talk to people, poke things and walk back......never actually restocking or replacing anything. Meanwhile the line of people keeps growing and growing.

The food selection is great. The people that work there are pretty nice. The major issue is the price of foods has gone up so drastically high it’s beyond comprehension. I don’t understand how people can afford to buy food from here.

yes on 8/30/23 i went to the customers service 805 am it was not open i came back at 815 am i want to return some items the cashier went in to back office i waited a good 5 minute to 7 minutes before the cashier name rose came back out for my refund she gave a Gift card for 22.85 this amount was wrong it should of been for $ 29.70 i ask for my reciepts back rose refuse to give them back to me i told rose i need them back she said no i keeping them rose was rude this is not good customer service at this stop shop

whilst the store itself is clean and very up to code with everything , the workers are very ignorant and what i would say rude . Nothing but talking to each others and being blindless towards the customers , They don’t even care to help but just point and then walk away without an word . Very disappointing but it definitely won’t stop me from coming here , just would like an better environment to walk into .

I only buy things here when they're on sale as best I can. It's a typical stop and shop, staff is decent and friendly and the store is clean. To be honest I prefer to shop at the shores in Hanover because it's a coziest store meaning smaller and I enjoy the fact that they do have a lot of stuff discounted when it comes to near-end expiration. So in addition to saving money with stuff on sale I can buy me or bread or dairy and bakery stuff at a discount because it's near expiration.

At 70 yrs old I remember shopping with my grandmother at stop & shop, sitting in the little child seat in the cart. My wife and I still shop there and often find prices cheaper than Walmart next door...

Prices are through the roof!! They're anywhere from $2 - $8 more expensive than other markets. Not worth the trip. Also, staff is less than cordial. If there isn't a bagger, you have to bag on your own. The cashier will not help. Disgusted!

SO prefer this location. There are a few that are closer to me, but I go the extra distance to this S&S. The store is clean and organized and the shelves are always stocked. They have everything and the prices are fair. The produce is taken care of and I don't usually get any "rottens". The lines are pretty quick, even during "rush hour". I like this store.

Clean, well stocked, grocery store. Has pharmacy and paper products as well as typical groceries. Excellent fresh produce selection. Prices are competitive for sale items. Staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking.

This location went through some changes. It suffered for a little while because of safety reasons that required sections to have more room for a place to remodel as they still did their best to accommodate fellow workers or customers. The deli and produce are really well kept and It even looks well organized now. What had always made this and still makes it a great place,.. are the Employees. I stopped shopping there for a little while because I was approached by a very odd duck many years ago on the right side of the lot toward the back but in the middle,. when I was alone on a small errand when entering from the right side of the main route. I reported it to the clerk of courts at that time.

My favorite food item at stop & shop is 100% the muffins from the bakery. There made fresh daily and have a variety . Chocolate chip and pistachio it's a hard choice. The store is always clean and anytime I'm looking for something the employees have gone out of there way to help. Oh yeah I can't leave out the cheap gas I end up getting with my points. Great super market

It's a good store. They keep it clean and it has a nice ambiance (sp?). I love that the deli has an ample selection and supply of "grab n go" meats and cheeses if you get there early in the day. Downsides: no salad bar, no wing bar, no fresh hot soup. Oh, and if you want packaged meats like bacon or hot dogs, the staff eternally has that area blocked with carts.

Good selection of products, from produce to canned goods. However they didnt have certain items, like sugar free popsicles, and the lettuce in the bags were kind of browning. Other than that it's okay. The cashier was not very friendly, but she was efficient. Probably will return.
