The Barker Shop and staff have been grooming my dogs and taken them for boarding for the past year. This is the best boarding kennel experience I have had. The facility is clean and spacious. I am so pleased with the customer service.

I have boarded my two male Rottweilers twice now with Johnny and the experience has been wonderful each time. I've also had them groomed twice and I love the way their coats feel and smell. Johnny's love for animals is very evident and she takes wonderful care of my two knuckleheads. They act like they do not want to leave when I pick them up. I highly recommend The Barker Shop.

Wonderful people!!!! I took my dogs there (pit bulls) and they were very well taken care of! Staff was amazing and very friendly.Honestly I was scared to leave my babies ( Buster & Max) at first but once we arrived and the staff welcomed us with open arms I was sure my babies would be well taken care of. The facility was clean and had a homey feel to it. Would (and have already) recommend to all my fellow dog lovers!!!!

I met Johnny for the first time today and I am very impressed with her shop and how she handled my dog Lucy today! She has a cute little photo section where you can take photos of your pet after their grooming. We also got a holiday themed bandana for Lucy to wear! The kennels looked clean, were open with plenty of room for the dog to roam or rest, and it smelled good. Thank you so much, we will be back soon!

Can't say enough good things about The Barker Shop, for grooming and boarding. I am on my fourth Golden Retriever and never felt comfortable boarding my dogs when we traveled - until I met Johnnie and her husband and saw the setup they have at their shop, and their dedication to creating a fun, safe, healthy environment for all who enter or stay. Gator gets SO excited when I turn down the street toward the shop, and I feel completely comfortable leaving him there whether for a bath, a play day or a longer-term stay.

I met Jonnie when my regular groomer had to cancel several weeks in a row. I called in the morning and she took the dogs that afternoon. It was such a big help.The dogs look and smell great when I pick them up. She offers several services which is really nice when they don’t need a full grooming.I’m so glad I found The Barker Shop 😀

This was the MOST HORRIBLE experience I have ever had with any Boarding situation in the area. Went on vacation, out of the country and made arrangements abt 2 weeks prior with this place. Went there and got a ‘different’ vibe from the owner. I thought she was just overwhelmed because she boards dogs and grooms and does doggie daycare at the same time. That’s a lot for one person. My dogs initial response was great. They were calm, laid by her side, and she even held their leashes for me to bring their food and treats in. It was great! She said that she would send pics everyday. I left feeling a peace of mind, which is hard when you leave your babies with a new person. I have left them at a few other boarding facilities in the area, and it was such a good experience, there was never issues. My dogs loved it. They are lovers.I have Nooo idea what happened but she have very little contact with me over the next 2 days. I HAD to call her for updates on my dogs and she acted like I was a bother. Sorry but I need to know how they are. At first, no worries, everything was fine. Then What Happened ?? she said they did not get along with her husband and dad. I had NOO previous issues with men, that’s what she said it was attributed to, men. The other facilities have men as well and never an issue. She stated that they were then barking at her husband and dad while they were inside the run and she couldn’t handle feeding them or caring for them, or even letting them out to poo and pee. So for 2 days, they pooed and peed in their kennel and on themselves - I had no idea this was going on. Then after 2 days she said I had to make other arrangements and pick them up. They needed to leave because she couldn’t care for them. There is too much going on here. Thankfully, my daughter lives in the area and I was able to make arrangements on a holiday week. This was the worst experience, she has a lot going on and boarding is just extra money to her. If you love your fur babies, DO NOT take them here. I have gone to a few other boarding facilities in the area and have nothing but GOOD things to say about them. Take this as a WARNING …

My ex left her pet dogs with this company. I got a call from my ex saying she was out of the country on vacation and owner was telling she had to come get her dogs. I feel that owner, as a professional, should have assessed the dogs properly before she took them in. To give no recourse to the client when they are out of the country, is not acceptable.
