Fantastically helpful customer service, as always, with great product selections all around. (Including things I simply don't find elsewhere!)I'm also very grateful for their decision to make a designated clearance section in the back of the store! It's in a very nook-like location, out of the way, making it much more comfortable and convenient to actually browse the marked down items! I love shopping at this location and highly recommend it!

Past couple of times only option is self checkout with a handful of teenagers sitting on a bench by the exit watching you and saying goodbye. If you're planning on buying more than an item or two, it's not a great customer experience.

Good prices. Excellent specials. Nice selection of fresh groceries. Never crowded. Very clean. The pharmacy line moves fast if there is a line. Vaccine appointments are fast and easy to schedule online or just call. This is not a hectic store or pharmacy.

The store offers convenience in an otherwise food desert town. It is disappointing that self-service checkout registers are now installed. Management would be wise to always have at least one full-service register open at all times. When I visited, I noticed that the full-service registers were closed. When an employee (20 y/o? female w/long straight hair) sauntered up sipping her big drink, I anxiously asked whether full-service registers will routinely be open at all times. She proceeded to mock me with slow-roll speech stating, "A r e g i s t e r w i l l b e o p e n i n a m i n u t e." I proceeded to ask, "W h y a r e y o u t a l k i n g t o m e l i k e t h a t?" She stated that I had, "Stormed in" and started asking questions. I was astonished by her impertinent attitude. She had zero idea how long I had been assessing the register situation. Was I in a hurry? Yes, because I needed to return to work to earn money to pay for groceries. I have worked in customer facing roles my entire career. I can't imagine EVER mocking a customer in such a intentionally condescending way. Although I entered the store in a pretty good mood, I left upset and did not purchase one thing. I will be hard pressed to return.**Update** -- Thank you for the proactive response. If the in-store policy allows for one full-service register to be open at all times, I will patronize again (and update my review). As someone with a decades long career of physically demanding work serving others with a sense of urgency, it is a welcome (albeit small) perk for a compensated store employee to scan and bag groceries that I am purchasing.

It's Safeway. What more is there to say? It's a good, semi-high-end grocery store. They do have my favorite eggs so that's pretty much what I go there for but I always tend to pick up a few other things in the meantime. When stuff is on sale the price is good but otherwise it's pretty pricey.

This is such a well managed, clean and orderly store. Everyone is so polite and eager to help (or simply say hello). The shelves are stocked and orderly, lines move fast, and their produce is always great quality. My husband and I love this store!

Average chain grocery store. I hadn't visited this particular store before, and as expected, it took a little while to find what I was after.Friendly team members and reasonable prices.They had good coverage of the checkout lines. Most stores don't have enough open registers, so customers end up waiting in long queues.I'd give them an extra star if they had any caramel popcorn or Cracker Jacks in stock. 😜 All in all, a pleasant store.

I had a fantastic shopping experience at Safeway! The store's cleanliness and friendly staff immediately caught my attention. Bobby and John, the managers, are doing an excellent job; they were helpful and attentive to customers' needs. I was also pleased to see the store undergoing a renovation, and it's looking great! I highly recommend shopping at Safeway for a pleasant and enjoyable grocery trip.

This place really is too small and doesn't offer top shopping experience. All the seafood choices were cheap and frozen. No marinated chicken choices. And they didn't have all the clipped coupon choices advertised on the Safeway app. My cashier added to the frustrating experience. She was not helpful and bordering on just plain rude. Disappointed.

I've been shopping there since the first day they opened. Always friendly. The culture of the store is excellent. Employees seem happy. I've watched 16 year bag boys/girls become 30 year old managers. Very little turnover. The store is always clean and a nice balance of stock and just enough variety of brands. In 30+ years I've only had good experiences.

Although this is a bit of a smaller Safeway, all the staff there have always been exceptionally helpful and very friendly. It's well located, plenty of parking, and well lit. Store has always been clean, and the bakery items/produce are always fresh. I love Safeways meat specials where you buy one and get one for free. Again, a little bit of a smaller store but they seem to have just about everything I need and it's pretty close to the home front. I've been there 35 times, we'll come back many more times. Definitely worth the trip.

Friendly staff, good sale prices.UPDATE***Today I used their delivery service for the first time. A+, 5 stars! Ordering through the app was easy, they delivered within hours which amazed me. All items were present, bags were packed appropriately, i.e., bread was in a bag by itself, etc.Today was a lifesaver as I needed dog food and no car available but I will opt for this service in the future even with transportation.

I've shopped here for 24 years. It's convenient to where I live and often has good sales. BUT, more than half the time I shop here there's a problem of some kind. Either something rings up different than what's displayed on the shelf, or the Just for U coupon doesn't get credited. It's impossible to tell at checkout, so I see it when I get home, and I'm tired of going back to return/exchange an item or get a refund. Today I went for water refills with their awesome RO filter machine, and it wasn't working - and no sign on it, which I would have seen yesterday when I was there and planned ahead to bring my empty bottles today. Then I found that the yogurt I bought was stacked on top of what I wanted but was different! I'll be driving a few more miles down the road from now on.

Very rude! I simply asked to see more of the companies financial information, and they told me it was none of my business. Well none of the other grocery stores will either, so I don't know if I can trust them, the CEO makes millions, the workers aren't unionized. Sad world

Safeway just your run of the mill grocery with home town friendliness. The stores customer service team was very helpful. Prices are comparable to other grocery stores, but the store's personal feel is what makes it great.

Staff is friendly and nice, but lines can be long (which is the norm for Safeway stores since they typically understaff). Selection is good save for meats, especially the ones on sale. They go fast and have limited selection each day. Store is clean and neat. However, it's in that part of the county, so you'll have more people improperly wearing masks, but that's not the store's fault.

I punched in my phone number connected to my discount card wrong, and the system wouldn't let me try again. I'd forgotten which one I'd used because Safeway in general is overpriced.The clerk just stood there like a deer in headlights. She'd obviously received little or no training.We'd ordered carry-out at the Chinese restaurant & couldn't wait. We ended up walking out. All that fuss over 3 items. Too bad they don't have a courtesy card at each register, like many other stores do.I doubt I'll ever go to ANY Safeway ever again. My next most recent experience with them was pretty similar, except the customer in line behind me let me use his card.

They have a pretty good selection here at this location. The prices are... just okay, I'd say. They are at least within reason on most products, and they usually have a pretty good sale going on most of the time. It's conveniently located in the Walkers Village Way Shopping Center off of Route 550 and..Glade Avenue, I believe. MOST of the staff are very very friendly, as well! The ambiance is also not quite as horrible as most grocery stores. The biggest downside for me, personally is that if you need to use the bathroom, you have to go back in the back and use... This weird single bathroom-closet that feels like it should be for staff only... except, I personally wouldn't want to have to use that if I worked here! Otherwise, great location with a mostly higher quality selection than other local grocery stores! Xo

I am Mrs.Chong Won Kwak and today is January 19,2023. I go the Safeway grocery store near my endunit townhouse in Walkersville, Maryland and it is not large as the new built and modern Safeway stores. It has a good selection, but they don’t have the modern self checkout machines and self scan app self bagging system. And I did not have kind environment from the employees and the customers who are near and surrounding neighborhoods of my townhouse that I purchased and own. I am kind, respectful, clean, and safe person, but when people are not that same personality, they don’t like good people. Frederick County Maryland is extremely old style and not updated to modern times as should when I moved this area 2020 year and current 2023 year.

Although there Safeway is a bit smaller than many of the other ones, they have a knack for having just about everything I need. Bread department is nice, the flowers area is nice, I know a little Deli area in the back is generally good to go. Not much I can't find here and the staff is just exceptional whether it's the counter person to the managers, they're all actually happy to see you and they try very hard and work very quickly. I'm a customer standpoint, I could hardly be happier. Tus thumbs up, definitely worth the trip

This was my first time shopping at Safeway since they closed their Frederick stores. While there were plenty of sales, I was very disappointed in the much higher prices on many of their items. I went to this Safeway as I have always felt that their produce and meat were of a high standard. But I didn't buy any of them. Too expensive. The bakery area was wonderful, stocked with many fresh items. All looked good! But I came for many other items from different departments that were simply over priced.

Usually every time I go the produce is molding and not that great, but the deals are good. Some staff are friendly while others only care to continue their own conversations amongst their coworkers which aren't always appropriate.

Live by hear and go hear on my lazy days when I don't want to commute down to other shopping centers/Plazasas long as you check for the deals/Discounts. It's a great place. My main reason for going to stores [ places where I spend my time /Spend my hard earned $$ etc. ] Are bc of the people. & So far I've had no problems/Attitude from anyone there

This is a nice Safeway store, the people are very friendly and they usually have what I am looking for except 4C light iced tea. I mean they have the full sugar one, why not the light one? But, that is true for a lot of the grocery stores in this area. I can get that at Weiss on TJ Road in Frederick, but it is a pain to have to drive out of my way to get it. Anyway one negative at Safeway that I experienced was waiting 15 minutes at the Customer Service counter before anyone came to help me. The other negative was that their FedEx system does not really help much - it is just a drop off location if you have all of your labels and boxes and tape already done. But, that might be my fault for not checking in advance.

Quick in, quick out. Staff is *extremely* helpful! Shout out to Laura B.; since I've shopped at Safeway, she is always willing to help out and go the extra mile (helping find food items, making sure I'm able to quickly check-out, etc...). There are a lot of grocery store options in Frederick, but it is the friendliness of the staff (Laura B.) that keeps me coming back to Safeway in Walkersville!
