Absolutely recommend! The entire staff, from start to finish, are welcoming, friendly, and professional.My Fur Baby has been seen by all of the Veterinarians and they are all wonderful with my cat; they treat her like their own and even allow her to be a little sassy at times.Although I am fortunate to have a healthy pet, she is aging, and our last annual preventative visit was spent discussing how to prepare and deal with the normal aging process. I never feel rushed, and I am always comfortable with getting all my questions answered.

We have to move in a few months and are devastated to leave the team at St Charles Animal Hospital. The front desk is always so kind, respectful, and inviting. The technicians are knowledgeable, helpful, and so friendly. The Veterinarians don't make you feel rushed--they always take the time to listen to your pet's needs and thoroughly discuss treatment plans.We had to say goodbye to our Buddy last year, and the team walked us through this tough tough decision, provided support, and made us feel like they truly cared.They are always quick to respond and support our needs. Even if we had to use Emergency Vet resouces, St Charles always made sure we could follow up and review everything with their team.We will miss them! Highly recommend--We wouldn't trust anyone else with our pups!

The front desk was very sweet ,however, the room tech seemed to be rushing and made me feel like I was sharing to much when asked questions, the vet herself proceeded to tell me that “I did not seem prepared “if I wanted to allow my male and female animals to be together which was rude and judgmental as my whole life has been animals and I am actually very capable and prepared . The whole experience was 4 hours over 300.00 (after denying 4 unnecessary hair and skin graphs for more funds) and extremely uncomfortable . I will not be back nor will I recommend

We brought in our 13 year old German Shepherd who had stopped walking and became incontinent seemingly overnight. We were quoted an amount for numerous tests and we paid. Seconds later the Dr came in and said don’t run the card. As he continued the physical examination he found numerous large masses and massive fluid in her abdomen. We were given the choices and opted to put her to sleep. The entire staff showed genuine empathy and integrity. We even got a follow up email checking on us regarding the loss of our family member. We will return with our next fur baby and refer other pet parents. Sincere thanks. The Huntley’s .

Absolutely recommend! My little, senior dog had an injury, so I brought her in. The staff and vet were super nice to me and to my pup. They explained everything to me in detail, and also wrote everything down, understanding that I may not remember everything while upset about my injured dog. Also, the hospital was beautiful and clean - I felt very comfortable there.

UPDATE 10/21: 18 months after surgery and you'd never know she ever had an issue. She is a very active dog that runs at top speeds and doesn't even favor one leg over the other. She's "good like new. "We highly recommend Dr. Neuman and S. Charles Animal Hospital based on our experience with our 3-year old dog's CCL surgery. After doing research, we found they they do the modern TTA surgery which is better for active dogs than TPLO or other less-invasive procedures.There were no surprises, other than responsiveness and care beyond our imagination. Costs were transparent (they are not the cheapest), care was sincere, and they never made us feel like we were asking stupid questions (even though we clearly were). They responded to emails faster and more thoroughly than we could have expected.I included video showing her recovery at week 1 (with the cone of shame), and then at week 8 after being allowed to run off-leash. We followed the protocol 100%, and her recovery was rapid and complete. We have our active dog back again.Their facility is over an hour from our home, and if she hurt her other leg (statistically 50% likely), we will certainly bring her back. They provided clear records including a DVD to keep our regular vet informed.If you are wondering if this is the right place to take your loved pet... stop wondering and you and your pet will be happy you brought them to SCAH.

Nice staff, clean facility. They don't really believe in the appointment times. They care if you late. Once there they take there time actually getting to you which takes an in and out appointment 2hrs every.....time. my dogs have been here since puppies. They take great care of them. I have medium socialized dogs and they handle them well.

My lab, Skipper, needed a Gastropexy surgery and I called a handful of hospitals looking for a doctor who could perform this surgery laparoscopically as it would be less invasive and an easier recovery for my wild 3.5 year old dog.I reached out to St. Charles and every communication starting from my first inquiry call to the front desk to a follow up call after surgery went so smoothly. The staff and especially Dr. Neuman are very informative and you can tell they love what they do. I was very impressed as a first time client here. Dr. Neuman’s communication was excellent and he answered a million of my questions honestly and professionally. I was very nervous as this was my dogs first surgery.The surgery went well for my dog! I’m so thankful for Dr. Neuman and his staff for making the process so simple. I would recommend Dr. Neuman for anyone that is looking to get an assisted laparoscopic gastropexy surgery for their dog.Thank you, Dr. Neuman and the St. Charles staff for exceeding all my expectations. Skipper was in good hands and I appreciate it !

I actually had to delete my rating in reference to this establishment. So that I could respond to Mr Newman's foolish response back to me.Mr. Newman, finds it difficult to take responsibility for bad actions done by people that work there. I don't understand why it would matter on how many times I called this established, but that is a hot topic for him. I'm gonna make it real simple this place cannot be trusted Patients should get second opinions. Ms.Davis does not explain blood work tests and that's as simple as it is. Mr. Newman must have forgotten that people were dealing with covid, meaning the whole country. So, between 2019 & 2022 everybody was struggling. I don't understand why it would matter how many times an animal has been to your clinic or not. Remove all my information from that establishment! I think it is rude and unprofessional that your still sending me emails. You need to fix your house if it's even fixable!! I also will not be deleting this post!I already know you're gonna reply back,because that's something you do, to try to make someone look bad, when you should fix your issues there. One more thing, I will be having another veterinarian looking at the blood work that was taken in 2019 and with what I have read a diet change would have had my cat's liver healed and if that is the case then shame on this so called hospital for animals! I do have to add more than one of the liver numbers on my fur baby's test ran off the page or very high and that test was in 2019!When I do get that information from the other veterinarian. I will add that information to this post!So I just read some of Davis's notes, That was in my cat's records. She is an effing liar on every realm!! The record showed that the establishment sent me a card and a flower that never happened, but let me add. I requested that not to happen!! Also in the notes, it's stated that I asked two tech's to leave when there was only one tech involved!!! Let me add I requested the Tech to leave, because I was not mentally or emotionally prepared to have my fur baby put to sleep. So needing a moment Davis couldn't understand that!!This establishment needs cameras with a microphone in the exam rooms!!Davis is a disgusting individual!!!!!This is an update from another veterinarian.A conversation & action should have taken place in 2019 in reference to the blood work that was taken in reference to Violet!!!Ms. Davis should feel ashamed of herself!!!!

I can't say enough good things about this place. We have been coming here for over 11 years. The staff have always been friendly, patient, and show so much love for our furry family members. We used to live in walking distance from St. Charles Animal Hospital, which is how we found the place. We moved 2 years ago and, even though there is a vet's office closer to us, we drive the extra distance to continue coming here! They helped us comfort our previous dog, and held our hands through the process of his aging, arthritis, and passing And now... they are helping us welcome the 2 new members of the family!

Initially my dog was being seen by Petsmart. When he was diagnosed with bladder stones and needed surgery, they were unable to do it and suggested I go to a local pet hospital. I was referred to this place by a coworker.They were very helpful at the consultation. Due to COVID-19, their process for seeing pets is down to a science. Everything was done with precision mainly from the car. The staff were friendly.The day of surgery was stressful for me and Bishop but Dr. Neuman and staff eased our fears. What was supposed to be a regular routine surgery turned into something more complicated and unexpected. Dr. Neuman called and carefully explained every step to me. They took great care of my baby and the price was affordable! I had to bring my dog back a few days later and the staff helped me. Prior to this I was using Petsmart for my pet insurance (which did not cover this surgery). But after the wonderful treatment we got at SCAH, I canceled our insurance and now drive the 30 miles one way to go see Dr. Neuman. Not only is it cheaper, my dog is happier, healthier and no longer taking medication daily. I highly recommend SCAH.

I have been taking my dog, Mia, to this facility for several years now. Although they are a little pricey, I suppose it comes down to "you get what you pay for," as this animal hospital is the top of the line and the service is outstanding! It kind of reminds me of a country hospital. The staff are very friendly and kind, the manager and other staff are just pleasant to talk to about whatever. The doctors are very professional and I can tell they love animals and my Mia loves them too :-).Also, I boarded my dog there and she looked happy and well cared for when I picked her up, this for me was that extra plus. So, if you love your animals and you don't mind paying a little bit extra, you'll be happy you chose St. Charles Animal Hospital.

We traveled from PA down to Florida for vacation with our dogs and after arriving our dog got really sick and went into shock. We immediately rushed our dog to the hospital and they immediately took her in. Our Sally girl needed emergency surgery and they went into immediate action and gave Sally the best care and treated her with love. The doctors and staff were all just amazing and were always here when we needed them. The one lady at front desk (didn’t get her name) but when I started to cry she spent the time to just talk to me and told me they were her for us and we could call at any time. That’s what you call a person with a huge heart and loves her job. There is just not enough thank you’s to the staff for everything they did to give sally the love and treatment our old girl needs. She is back home now in Pa and resting. I highly recommend this hospital!!

I have to say that St. Charles Animal Hospital is and has been a great experience. The veterinarian and staff are friendly, knowledgable, makes wonderful suggestions, and takes everything that you ask very seriously. With this virus and not being able to go in with my dog, I still felt very comfortable. I was called several times to inform me what was going on. Of course I had a wagging tail dog when the tech walked him back to my car. If you're looking for a veterinarian, I honestly feel that it is worth going to St. Charles Animal Hospital.

Words simply cannot express the awesomeness that is St. Charles Animal Hospital! From the first visit with our puppy in August 2020 to our most recent experience (emergency surgery for a blockage in his small intestines), it is clear that they love animals and their compassion is almost palpable. I am near tears thinking about how patient and loving Dr. Davis was during the surgery process. She provided her professional expertise as if my puppy Jemini was her very own. She gave me clear options and took time to answer all my many questions and concerns. Missy, the Vet Tech, just genuinely cared and made me feel so comfortable and reassured each time I handed Jemini to her. I wish I could name everyone there but I can tell you that there has never ever been a negative interaction. Dr. Siskovich is amazing, too! Customer service is extremely important to me and they have it in spades!! People...they called or emailed daily to check in to see how my puppy was/is doing, making any necessary adjustments to ensure he was 100% ok. Honestly, they are a more expensive option in the area but can you really place a price tag on reassurance and complete trust? I tell all my furparents about this clinic/hospital. Oh! And they are the only certified animal hospital in Southern Maryland! I have described them as the Chick fil a of animal hospitals. Lol It is always their pleasure!

During COVID-19 pandemic my St Pyrenees (Lily) passed away. I brought my dog to this hospital and they were supposed to cremate her and take her paw print. I understand that during this pandemic there was a lot going on but when I went back for her remains they didn't even tell me that they forgot to take her paw 🐾 print. It wasn't until I got home and called that I was informed that they forgot to do her paw print. The paw print was very important to me because I wanted to get a tattoo of Lily's with her paw print on it. This was a inside joke with my dog cause everytime I planted flowers outside she would step on them and/or roll around on them. I know I will always have the memory but still... 😒😒 upsetting. On the other hand, when I bought her to this hospital they were friendly, sympathetic and empathetic on the situation I was going through. So, I'm so/so on my feelings about this hospital.

So happy to have found this amazing place! The staff are very helpful and professional. From the moment you open the door, you know that you are in good hands. They are so helpful! I cannot state that enough. I mean extraordinarily helpful. They aren't just sitting there managing a thousand things at once, walking back and forth. They notice you and identify things you may need. They see the fur baby over stressed and expedite a room. They recommend happy visits for socialization. They pheromone the room to help promote calm. Very clean, friendly, and caring. The waiting area is not smelly or dirty (which is a huge plus). Customer service is worth a thousand words, and when it comes to my fur-baby, their care is just as important as my own. I would recommend this animal hospital to anyone! The prices are reasonable, and the techs are very knowledgeable and informative. They do offer a military discount to active duty service members. However, as a veteran, I've done my share of serving and protecting the country as well. I think the discount should be extended to retirees and family as well.

Cannot say enough good things about my experience at St Charles Animal Hospital. From the moment I got there my pet and I were given the best services. The receptionists are friendly and helpful, the technicians took time to make sure both myself and my pet were comfortable and the veterinarian answered all of my questions and addressed any concerns I had regarding my pets health. Even the other patients we encountered were friendly! Our experience went above and beyond the expectations we had, by far the best veterinarian we've patroned since being back in the area. They also sent us a thank you note a few days after our visit. We are so impressed with the whole staff at the clinic and while we hope to not return for a while (we wanna stay as healthy as possible!) We look forward to seeing the amazing staff again for future appointments!Thank you all so much for caring about your patients as if they were your own!!!
