I recently visited this location to purchase a dozen of red roses. There was an older Caucasian lady name Caroline that I first interacted with that was very rude to me. First situation I had with Caroline at this location was a few months back when I asked for her assistance. She didn’t want to assist me so I went to the service desk and someone was able to help me with flowers. Caroline for some reason was very rude to me and refused to help me which I didn’t understand but I didn’t feel like dealing with her horrible customer service that day. But this second time I went recently she treated me the same way only worse. She didn’t want to assist me and told me there were no red roses. I went to the service desk again to complain and the Store manager and another lady went to the back and got me the red roses that Caroline said the store didn’t have. I’m not sure why she lied to me or treated me that way but it made me feel like she was discriminating against me or she was just being lazy. Not to mention Caroline argued me down and said “it was always me” because I wouldn’t settle for her horrible customer service. I asked the Store manager Asia to call me back once she speaks to corporate because I wanted to file and complaint, but no one ever called me back so I’m leaving this review. I also tried to call corporate and I was on hold for almost 30 mins before I couldn’t hold anymore. I feel like no one considered my feelings by not taking the matter seriously and I’m thinking about seeking Legal action regarding the discrimination I experienced at Safeway.

The coupons were awesome for my shopping trip. However, the deli was very disappointing. The potato wedges I received were very old and tasted as such. The chicken tenders were also at least 4 hours hold and tasted like cold chicken.

This location needs help!!!!!!!! I come in the morning to get plain bagels and most of the time they don't have any! I came early expecting to get fresh bagels....I even waited for 20 minutes. They finally put some out and only baked 4 plain bagels...no for real FOUR plain!! They are not very helpful either they respond with a "this is what we got and that is now your problem not ours"!! This photo is at 8:30 am....that is right 8:30 AM! They also need to do a powerwash ...the store smells STALE! Safeway is a franchise and a brand, however this location is not up to that standard!

Avoid this location…unless you want to waste time and money on expired products, questionable seafood/meat selection and rotten produce. There is rarely a clean operational cart available. The panhandling and loitering is out of control. I feel bad for the people who have no other choice but to rely on this bottom of the barrel location.

This is probably the worst grocery store bathroom I have ever seen. I don't live or frequent the area often but I stopped by to use the restroom, grab something for lunch and drink for me and my crew. On the way in the front store door you could immediately smell the bathroom. Wow When I walked into the terrarium they call the men's room I literally started gaging and threw up we promptly left and I'll never stop there again.

The pharmacy was quick and the pharmacist was very friendly. The self check out was fast and easy. Only problem was the shopping cart Wheels locked up going out the door

I bought ice cream bars the whole box was bad must have not been refrigerated properly all has melted in the individual packages. Bought a gallon of orange juice that doesn’t expire until June 24 and it has gone bad already and it’s the 21st. Price so high and food going bad not very happy.

This Safeway is probably the worse one in the area. Self check out is never open in the mornings. They literally have one cashier that moves like pond water. I have had experiences where someone just didn’t want to stand at self check out so they shut all the registers down. The place always smells like rancid fish. Do yourselves a favor and visit the other safeway’s in the area. They smell better, have more cashiers and they keep self-check out open.

Prices are always messed up when I check out. I check my receipt and 5 out of 10 times I have to go back to CS and get a price difference refund for items that did not ring up as advertised (and NOT items with coupons because I clip them).

No customer service. Went into the store to order several fruit trays. Ask one worker and was directed to a worker in produce. This worker stated there was no one in to take an order, go to customer service and they can take it. Go to customer service desk and wait several minutes, mean will several workers standing around ignore me. Finally one who was standing around tell me “customer service is closed”. Wow. They close customers service….

I took my 4yo to the bathroom and the bathrooms were dirty and in terrible condition, and this was after seeing an employee come out there after cleaning it. I went to the floral section and asked the attendant if she could blow up a ballon and she directed to aisle 9 because “because they already had a #4 balloon blown up”, when I saw it it was mostly deflated so I had to go back to her and ask for a new one and then she tells me that she forgot to mention that it might have been deflated. I made our way to the bakery to pick out a cup cake and the attendant was there, had her hands full which I understand and didn’t expected her to drop what she was doing, but she saw us and didn’t acknowledge us, just ignored us. It wasn’t until another employee came around the corner and promptly greeted us and asked if we need something. The first bakery attendant handed me the cupcake in an oversized plastic container. As careful as I tried to be, at check out the cup cake tipped over, messing it up.Terrible customer service at this location.

Upon my arrival, not one cart was available at the door I went through to enter. Not one! I had to walk down to other side and then back outside to get a cart that was one of maybe 4 carts on the outside of the doors.I passed several workers throughout the store stocking and cleaning and not one greeted me.Shelves were somewhat empty of a few items that I wanted. I love the Safeway sparkling waters and it’s almost impossible to find them on the shelves.I was grateful that they had at least two lanes open for check out.

Very convenient for me since they are located in my neighborhood. They tend to run out of stuff, like fruits, milk and other things. Check the bread expiration dates. Check the milk expiration dates. Double check your expiration dates!!! I had one issues that still bothers me today. One of the mangers (young black lady) thought I was trying to pass a counterfeit $20 bill while I was with my son. It was pretty insulting for her to allude I could be trying to change a fake $20 bill into smaller change.

DO NOT order pick up for Safeway...they did not give me my two packs of water I ordered..I ordered Simply Orange Mango and they gave me regular Simply Orange with pulp...I ordered a box of 10 pack of bag s of the Smart food white cheddar popcorn and they just give me bag of the popcorn...they just substitute whatever they want instead of calling the customer and informing them of what they don't have. I WILL NEVER order pick up for Safeway ever again

The laziest staff I've seen in ANY Safeway, had 3 people looking at me within 20 feet to help me. The guy 50 feet away asked if I need help because no one else was doing Work at Work where they get paid to Work.

I’ve called several times over 3 months about their carts being in my neighborhood & they refuse to come get them and say the only way to get them out of our neighborhood is if their customers bring them back?I don’t have a truck or else I would, but also shouldn’t be my responsibility for wanting my neighborhood to look nice & clean, especially since we’re in an HOA.So I called corporate, because the customer service at this specific store was rude and dismissive. Low and behold, corporate said they CAN come and get them.So, I’m waiting on a call from corporate now to call me to schedule a pick up of the three carts piling up.

Just left this store and I'm not understanding why Destiny was on the phone while ringing up customers. Never said hello or spoke one word out her mouth, but was steadily talking on the phone. You're at work and as a customer service cashier, you're job is to greet customers that come into your line to be serviced. She should be reprimanded for this behavior and go back through training to learn that cell phone shouldn't be on the floor while working with a customer period. If you don't like your job find somewhere else to work.

Not sure what I was supposed to expect, but I definitely didn't expect to receive delivery of my groceries half an hour before the designated window when nobody was available to get them. I definitely didn't expect to receive a bag of rotten oranges, a bag of mostly bruised and dehydrated apples, half of the chips we ordered, and half of the cream cheese we ordered.Needless to say, if you want anything good from Safeway, get it yourself. Don't expect Safeway's delivery service to be anything better than below average. I've ordered from 2 locations, and it was an identical experience. Spoiled produce, damaged and/or missing items, incompatible replacement items, or items of sizes I didn't request.Here's a hint for Safeway drivers.... CHECK FOR MOLDAnd if you can't find 1 bag with say, 12oz of chips, but 6oz bags of chips are available, GRAB 2.If I'm ordering for a party, SIZE IS NOT ARBITRARY.I've had a couple of good deliveries, but when it mattered, I was let down, twice in a row. So I've lost faith in Safeway delivery and will be shopping exclusvely in-person.As for the in-person experience, for one, the meat department seems to be one of the least professional experiences I've had. Asking a question leads to condescending.... meats are often labelled with dates into the future, but if you examine the package, the meat had already expired. The fish is probably the worst experience, and a health hazard to say the least. I've had good experiences here, and at other nearby locations. I typically shop in Brandywine and typically have a better experience, but this location is sub-par and below-average for what I would consider consumer friendly.Add to that the parking situation is often.... bizarre. This location is a quick stroll from a police station, often has paid security sitting inside, but parking enforcement is non-existent. The ONLY reason this location gets any business at all is because of it's location convenience. NOT because of its selection and service. e.g. I will often drive to Brandywine, which is a 45 minute round trip instead of driving to this location which is a 20 minute round trip, just because it's cleaner, better selection, fresher produce, better parking enforcement, and all around a better experience.Safeway used to be one of the better places to shop at, but this location shares more in common with a 7Eleven in a Detroit suburb in terms of security, cleanliness, parking, and overall experience.

It's okay, not a big variety. The ladies bathroom was the "pits" as usual, unappealing, a mess. I personally would Choose Giant any day. Giant bathrooms are usually cleaner. The whole store needs to be renovated. But as they say it could be worse 😭

Not a fan of this Safeway but I do tend to stop here for emergency, quick, grocery stops. The store has a terrible smell from the moment you enter. Hard to describe exactly what it smells like, but it is off-putting. The store often looks disheveled, cluttered and ransacked.

My 1st time shopping here. I only needed to pick up 3 items. Store appearance and smell seems old and not as clean as it should be. I noticed meats that had turned gray in color. Employees could have been friendlier.

I can take nothing from our Safeway. I think it is a nice Safeway. the food is fresh, the atmosphere is nice and is open around the clock or at least it's been open every time I needed something. kudos Kudos kudos. Keep up the good work and I will recommend this store to anyone who needs something during the day or night. Mind you I have been to some grocery store's that I wouldn't send my dog. this is not one of them. this is really nice.

I ordered a cake from the bakery last week for a very special occasion. We are celebrating July Birthdays and decided to do a "Christmas in July" theme cake here at my workplace. I picked the cake up this morning and cannot tell you how wonderful the (2) staff persons were.I first met Vicki who greeted me with a big smile and a Good Morning! She was so delightful and very personable. When she brought the cake out and I saw how beautifully decorated it was, she shared the name of the decorator, Brandon. As it turned out, Brandon was coming down the aisle toward the bakery. I shared my enthusiasm with him and thanked him for the beautiful decorating!!I write this review because I don't believe folks get enough praise for the good work that they do. I did not want to miss an opportunity to say Thank You to them both for what I would consider a job well done!Thank you both. Hope you have a wonderful day!!! :-)

I like this location. You walk in to the smell of fresh seafood and I personally love that. Lines can be long. However, there is a self-checkout section and I just love the different departments offered here. From a Starbucks's Kiosk, a bakery, florist dept, meats dept, pharmacy, etc. More selection over all. One stop shop for most of your daily needs!

Safeway in St. Charles is pretty decent. However, the produce today was a little on the disappointing side, at least what I was looking at. A lot of the apples were bruised and the strawberries looked like they were going a little bad as well. Overall, the staff is friendly and shelves were fully stocked.
