The Last time i went into this location a manager, i think by the name of Paula , was so incredibly rude i couldn’t believe they’d let such a person work there. Nonetheless be in any position of power. I saw her force a noticeably pregnant lady to handle work that she should not have. I will not be back. If you treat employees like this how will you treat customers ?

PAULA MCDONALD is a terrible manager. She makes the work place a hostile environment and is forcing a nearly 7 month pregnant woman to bend and lift heavy items while working mostly alone with no help until the last minute and risking that woman’s mental wellbeing and pregnancy. Something needs to be done about this because I will not be tolerated.

Lazy people, they don’t want to work; I came to buy balloons for my daughter's birthday and even though they have staff they have told me that they can't fill the balloons because the orders are until Thursday, this is ridiculous! you come to a balloon sales store and they don't sell them to you because they don't want to do their job.

Very busy store with a need for more associates. I do think they would be busier if people knew they weren't going to wait in line forever. The check-out set-up is extremely awkward and needs to be corrected ASAP. And for the love of all things buy this store some plug ins!!! Has a horrible dead body smell that almost knocks you out when you walk in. The first time I smelt it I just thought it was a one off situation, but I have been there multiple times after that and the smell is so gross.

Halloween City is crazy. The selection was great. Prices decent. But they charged me for 2 of the same item. When i pointed it out before I even left the register, they informed me I can't get a refund because it's the day before Halloween. I didn't even leave the store yet! My only option was to pick a different item that is the same price. This is the dumbest policy I have ever heard! I don't think I will ever patronize this store again. Spirit Halloween will get my business from now on.

I came to the store to pick up something for my daughter . I was told with an attitude wait on the opposite side of the line , I did and I was ignored and was unable to make my purchase. I get you are busy but most of the time you are told someone will be with you shortly or someone else will get on the register to ring up my purchase. I will never return to that location. I will go to largo instead.

Within the past year, due to my job, I’ve become a frequent shopper at this Party City location (Waldorf). Recently my job required further documentation to allow continued goods to be purchased from all vendors. In the matter of 2 days (Friday, January 27th 2023) and (Monday, January 30th 2023) I’ve received little help from managent. On Friday I went into the store and a “manager” referred me to corporate, indicating they can not sign and forms in store. Not a problem. Then again today, Monday, I called asking for a manager (even thought the GM was present) to receive better guidance. Because as we all know “Corporate Numbers” have multiple extensions and no one from the Waldorf store was able to give me a POC. The young man who I was on the phone with today (Monday) “the manger” I asked if I could speak to the GM and she just so happen to “just leave for break”. Mind you no names were given. I asked for guidance on who or what extension should I contact on the corporate level and the young man explained they could not give out any further information higher than store level. Thankfully he was very polite while providing me yet another roadblock.This is extremely unprofessional, especially coming from a customer based point of view.I do not highly recommend doing business on a larger scale. On a micro scale for an everyday shopper, go for it. Otherwise highly unprofessional, the management will leave a lot up to you as the Cusotmer to “figure it out”.

There was a awful smell coming from the back of the store. :( Plus, I bought a plastic tablecloth that was on sale. I was in such a hurry to get out of there, I didn't get the sale price. :(

Went to get one balloon for my nieces birthday. I was told "we stopped selling balloons for the day". I went to a party store and they couldn't sell me one balloon. I won't be shopping here anymore!

Great service. I came in for a balloon among other things. I didn't expect to receive it the same day, even though I wanted to. The clerk initially said there was a wait of an hour. Not bad. I offered to come back later or on Saturday, when I actually need it. She had it done for me right then. Unexpected great service is the best. Thanks!

The incompetency of the employees and manager in the store is incomprehensible. On many occasions we check to see if products are available online before making the commute into town. We will often call and confirm to see if the store inventory matches the products found online. This Party City has some of the laziest employees we’ve ever encountered. EVERY TIME we’ve called for products we are told they are out of stock just to avoid any effort to look and potentially deal with customers. Today was the last straw, several people were told the night prior there was helium and to arrive promptly at opening. When the doors opened another employee informs several customers that they are out. PLEASE JJUST AVOID THIS STORE ALL TOGETHER! Go to Penn Party City, it’s a drive but until this location gets and employee and manager overhaul just don’t go here!!!!

The white lady was so rude to me. I stopped by this location to buy a get well soon balloon for my Daddy driving over an hour to get there she was standing in front of the cashier with one of the employees and I told her that I want to buy a balloon she didn't even let me finish talking before she rudely told me that they're about to close and I say please even if is one That i came from far away and she continued she will not do it. I was thinking that the fact the shop is still open and am already inside she could have helped me out and she was not doing anything at that moment and was still standing at the same spot while I was leaving. She didn't care to selle because she will be paid regardless if she sells or not and that's wickedness I will not advise anyone to go there for any reason.

Word of advice, the balloons only last about 6 hours. Purchased 12 the night before a party and they were on the floor by morning. They did replace them but still unexpected.

I ordered online aluminum pans for my jot dog roast. I waited several minutes to pickup items, just need better organizing. There should be a separate line for ballon pickup.They allowed folks who were not dressed properly (pajamas and wrapped in blankets) in the store.

We always get our son's birthday party stuff from here. If you make a minimum purchase and buy balloons, they will fill the balloons with helium and deliver to your house on the day of your party free of charge.

The only reason I ended up here is because I had a last minute party come up where I needed balloons and this is the only option open at 830am on a Saturday. Ive been here before and long story short... VOWED TO NEVER COME BACK because it's that terrible in there! Long wait times, extremely rude staff, and not one dang person that works there is going to go the extra mile to help a customer. What you will get instead is a bunch of teenagers who could care less about having a job. I'm surprised that this store has been open all these years. But even more surprised that management hasn't taken the time to hire some professionals and not children due to the reviews that they have been getting for at least 2 years. I've written corporate years ago, but that did nothing. They better hope that a franchise owner isn't watching these reviews, because there are a lot of angry customers that would gladly give their money to another store and help put this one OUT OF BUSINESS! I'm in the store now writing my review... I've literally been here since 836am waiting on 12 balloons to be blown up (they've been blowing up balloons for customers that aren't here)... And the time now is 942AM! Seriously you can't stop what you're doing to blow up my 12 balloons???? I'm the only one waiting and it would take all of 3 minutes to get me out the way. TERRIBLE!

this particular store can be frustratingly inefficient at times and spectacular at others. it's normally well organized and the aisles have enough room to view all the products. Great selection of items around Halloween and you can always find things for seasonal parties, birthdays weddings etc. not the best store in the chain but not the worst either.

Ordered balloons online to be inflated and picked up in store, when ordering it explains you must purchase weights separately and to let them know how you'd like the balloons organized/bundled together. I wasted my time purchasing weights and specifying how I wanted the balloons. They completely ignored instructions, I picked up one huge bundle with all my balloons and no weight. The clerk told me the weights were in the bag with the rest of my things (why didn't they put them on?) & they were not in the bag!!! Disappointed.

To be honest I was a seasonal employee there. They lines are very long because they don't teach us how to use them. I was 1 of 10 people and only 1 girl was told how to do it. The manger Melissa is extremely rude to employees and customers. They don't know how to stock anything. They have costumes that come with masks and don't order the mask. I got in trouble many times trying to help people that needed anything that wasn't in my hall. And I would get in trouble for telling people if we didn't have something to try dollar tree, five below, spirit Halloween etc. I would get yelled out in front of customers all the time for things I didn't know or didn't do. A lot of there items are over priced. It just not a place to go if your looking for friendly people everyone is sad and mean. But I understand why. I would never go there to shop or work. Just sad when I go into other halls and people are begging me for help because no one will or they said they would and just walked away.

The manager was rude and lazy. Instead of helping out at the register she was walking around directing customers on where to go if they wanted to be helped, instead of helping them! I was waiting for balloons by the counter to the right where the balloons are blown up and she told me to get in line and order them when I get to the register and they will blow them up. I already picked out the latex colors I wanted and just needed two decorative ones to go with them. I walk around the store to get the other items I went in there for and by the time I go to the front to check out the line was cleared. I'm thinking great, this won't take long. I tell the young lady at the register which balloons I want and she radios on her walkie how long is the wait for balloons. The manager responds saying 20 minutes! I look over to the counter where I was earlier and there's no one waiting for balloons or blowing up any balloons. So why is there a 20 minute wait!? I told her what the manager said about getting in line and the manager responded by repeating 20 minutes is the wait. The young lady asked me if I want to wait and I told her no, I then left everything on the counter and walked out. As I'm walking to my car I see the manager and one other employee outside talking. Poor management and lack of customer service.I went to the Dollar Tree and received better service and it was cheaper!! Should've went there first! Never going back to this location ever again.

If I could give it no stars that’s what they earned. Seems like party city has lost it’s customer service skills or they hire people that doesn’t carry out their policy and procedure for great customer service. I placed an online order that said it would be ready by 3pm. I reached Party City at 3:25pm. I went to online order line, the CR first didn’t greet me and a few others, I finally said, I placed an online order it should be ready. Latoya asked for my name and couldn’t find it, I then gave her my email with the order number and sku. She scanned with no order found. Latoya states they have must cancelled your order, I told her I didn’t receive an email for a cancel. She then stated well I just got here I don’t know what’s going on. I couldn’t believe that response when she works there as a supervisor. I would have thought she would say I apologize we are going to get this done now. She goes behind the counter and ask the cashier who was ringing up. She said nobody said anything to her, then as she is walking back to the online order side she picks up the Retirement balloons I ordered, walks to the air station. Latoya then blows up another customer balloons! Unbelievable I told her I had to be to the Retirement Celebration at 4:00pm. She disregarded that and didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. She asked another CR to come inflate the balloons. Poor customer service skills. I will call corporate so they can sharpen up. They should be greeting people immediately and always. Ridiculous experience.

Store Manager Tatiyna is the worse you could have representing your company!!! If I did not need the items I would not have brought them. Thank God when I got to the register that Regina was not a reflection of her Manager! Regina had great customer service and should train her Manager on Customer Service. Regina is Amazing and would be the only reason I would return to this location.

I order a number 2 ballon for my granddaughter second birthday online at the last minute for my daughter. I walk right in without any wait and pick it up. I know where I will be buying my party supplies from now.
