I come in and without fail the employees have their ear buds in talking to their friends. They don't greet you when you walk up to check out. The gentleman I think he is the manager is always pleasant. I think he is so short staff that the ladies just do what they want. You need to train your employees how to treat a paying customer.

1st, the male cashier was very nice, professional and multi tasked. The thin fussy, nasty, argumentative and arrogant cashier is enough to run all customers away. Then we had to return on Sunday and the heavy set cashier was sitting with her eye's closed and didn't really want to be bothered AT ALL. I hold the store manager accountable for his/her poor management skills. The store is in shambles and requires more than one person there at a time. It's no way possible to secure the store, ring up customers, retrieve carts, sign for goods coming in, clean up, go to the rest room, take a break or be customer friendly on such a minimal salary. Corporate needs to reevaluate there choice of management. This store is losing hundreds of dollars per day because someone is being cheap. The two females need retraining or new jobs. The manager needs to be placed on notice to get your store together or get replaced.

I have been a frequent shopper at this location ever since they opened because the locationis convenience to my office. The store recently has reacquired one of the rudest and nastiest cashiers I have ever met, feelings I found I shared with other business owners and employees in my shopping center. It is sad when a customer feels heckled by her from the moment you walk in the store. I've only been in there twice since she started working there again, both times she refused to ring me up since I was paying with cash and she had already pulled and countered out her drawer before closing time, forcing customers to use self-checkout, which only accepts credit or debit cards. After the first time, when I was forced to leave a cart full of merchandise because I had only brought cash, I started shopping at another location. Needing only milk, I walked in the store the other day 20 minutes before closing time. After chatting momentarily with a nice gentleman working there, I hear her yelling from across the store that I have to use self-checkout. After arguing with her for 10 minutes about her refusing to ring me up, then her demanding I have exact change, she finally, very begrudgingly, put a drawer back in and rang me up. Customers should not have to dread going into a store because you know you will have to deal with an extremely rude cashier with a nasty attitude.

This dollar general was okay. The cashier was polite, but they completely didn't have any gum at the register because they said they were doing inventory. The store was well organized though nothing much to complain about.

I visit this store frequently during the week and never had any problems from the staff. The staff has always been friendly but, not today 2/18/2020. I'm so upset,it's convenient but after this female's behavior tonight, I'll just go to Walmart or Target. It's hard for me to tolerate BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Hands down my favorite DG! It has a great selection, better than others I've been to and it's still affordable. I can buy foods, toiletries and basic home improvement and gardening supplies that are name brand, but more affordable than at other stores (not everything is cheap though). The only fault I find is that at this there is rarely more than one cashier available at one time, but it doesn't cause an issue usually. Definitely a four star rating.

I just started working at DG I LOVE IT especially Ms. Wendy. Who by the way is an amazing trainer she is training me well. All my co-worker are awesome The store is neat and clean it's a joy to work there.

One of the wildest experiences I've had in a while. No cashier, stock person gets cussed at by customer, he replies "I'm not a cashier!" The customer walks out with the merchandise without paying!

My husband says I need to buy some stock. I stay in Dollar General. From food, to casual romp around clothing, gifts, home goods, you name it, they got it. Love them!!!♥️😀

This is the worst Dollar General store I have ever seen. The store is nasty and the employees are lazy and useless. This store has no idea about zoning or inventory management. I ask one of the associates If they were going out of business. When I walked up to the cash register the young man playing cashier was texting on his phone and listening to music with the F word used many times in the 2 minutes I was standing there waiting for him to finish his text conversation. Will not step foot back in this disgusting store again .

I have been a regular customer at the Crain Hwy store for a couple of years now but the store has deteriorated so badly of late I will no longer shop there. It actually smells when you walk in the door. The stocking is so sloppy with no pricing no one would buy anything because they wouldn't know how much it costs.When looking for assistance found 3-4 ppl laughing and messing around in the back and had to interrupt their fun. I don't know who you have managing that store but they have to be losing business.Apparently,from reading the reviews all over the country, it's not just a problem at this store. I fully expect they will be closing soon.Say what you want about Walmart.They know how to manage and train their employees and keep their stores clean and stocked.Thank You,Cheryl Dean

Horrible that there are no shopping carts, and everyone carrying their items in their hands....and this acceptable. If this were to occur in VA it would be totally unacceptable. I am just appalled that Marylanders have to shop in VA to get customer service like a shopping cart. Just sad.

They have alot of what you're looking for but, things are always disarrayed. Sad, because the store always seems to be well-stocked..you just have to hunt for items.. Maybe the small size of the store is the issue.?? Nonetheless, I visit regularly when in the area.... RUTH

Very busy because of the holiday. The store was a mess, they only had two cashiers and one register was down. The one one cashier worked really hard to get customers taken care of.

It was the worst service, that I ever had!! The manager didn't show any concerns of getting the line of customers down!!! And there is stock in each iles and trash, that the customer has to walk around!!

I only go to this location if I don't have a choice the lines are always long because there is only one cashier open and shelves are always empty and the store is a messy. The cashier's attitude is another story.

The cashier appeared to be preoccupied with incoming telephone calls, and the register didn't work correctly..she seemed to be under the influence...after repeated attempts to pay with my card and a price check I walked out Frustrated..wth is going on in that store!

Very cluttered. If there happens to be alot of shoppers you will be there forever because there's only ever one person on the register.
