Love my lil fella .He will be 2 on August the 8th 2020 and he has been completely healthy. He is very sweet and smart. if I were to buy another puppy I would definitely buy from just puppies. They are very knowledgeable and helping you purchase a puppy.

Terribly overpriced and Fraudulent details on puppies. I bought a Pomeranian whose mother was 6 pounds and dad was 8 according to JP’s “reputable breeders”. My dog is now 16 pounds -and what I found out was literally a MUT and told me was a Pomeranian. I paid $$$$ for this dog and the conditions in the Rockville location were sub par at best. When I reached out to the mgmt to try and speak to them about my experience, this woman was the RUDEST person I’ve ever spoken to. My experience with JP was awful and my puppy has had a litany of health issues which makes consistent visits to the vet for all kinds of genetic and otherwise issues. It’s quite sad. I do not recommend this place at all.

I have had my puppy for 6 weeks and couldn't be happier, he has had 3 vet visits and has been diagnosed as healthy!!! The staff were friendly and helpful, they even walked me to my car to assist me securing the cage. I only give 3 stars because I think they should be cleaner with the puppies.

I adopted my son Louis (Chihuahua) from here in July of 2010. He is the most precious, sweet little boy and I was happy with my experience. We will be moving to a larger place and want to adopt another fur baby. My first thought was to return to Just Puppies where I found my 1st baby. I made a trip there today and left confused, feeling unwelcome as if they didn’t want my business. I followed their rules, stayed behind the lines, didn’t touch anything....I have no idea what I did to make them completely ignore me. I even understand why they have said some of the things that others complain about, regarding children and some breeds not being a good fit, etc. I get that stuff. But why would you just not help a couple that hasn’t even said a word yet??At one point we were the only ones standing there, clearly very interested in the little poodle we were standing near....the blond employee just kept walking past us, taking phone calls and eating sushi. An older lady up front was helping someone else but also did not acknowledge us when we moved up front to hopefully get attention. Nothing. We walked back to poodle puppy...stood and watching ourselves be ignored. It’s an awful feeling to be ready to make such a big life decision, excited for it...then slowly let down as you realize they don’t want your business. Why?? How does this work?? Are these different owners than 2010??? What did I do?I used to tell people how happy I was with them getting Louis. Sadly now, I have this story to tell. :(

I just purchased my puppy here yesterday. The employees were very kind and helpful. I cant speak if whether or not these are "puppymill" puppies. I have nothing to verify this claim and other reviews have not be able to back this claim. The owner took the tune to go over ALL the paper work and care needed. They also cover your first two vet visits at their vet. What I can say is that all the dogs appear to be healthy. I took my puppy to my vet in jacksonville after leaving with my newly purchased puppy to have him checked out. My vet said he was in great health and sees no signs of any problems.I know others will be asking on why I didn't use a breeder, I contacted a breeder and they want $3k. This is over twice the cost of Just Puppies, and Just Puppies will cover up to the cost of the dog in covered medical issues within the first year (you need to talk with them for specifics).I would buy another dog from here. Thank you for helping get a new member of the family.

My experience was pleasant and all of my puppies records depicting every shot and check up right up to my taking him. This made it easy to give my vet his up to date history on his first visit. Miles (that's my puppy's name) has been happy and healthy ever since. Just Puppies us not your typical pet store from which you may have been warned away. I recommend them as a great source from which to buy a pet.

Where is the, “So terrible, it should be closed, button”? Do Not. Go Here.TLDR: service is poor, conditions seem unsafe or unhealthy, smell indicated poor upkeep and overcrowding, shop owner is very rude and discriminatory. Do not recommend.Shop owner yelled at us for asking her questions about a beagle puppy. We wanted to see a beagle puppy, and she refused to take it out of the crate. I asked why and she began demanding I give her the *exact square footage* of my home. We have a large gated backyard, a 3 bedroom home and live 3 blocks from the largest park in our city. She refused. She raised her voice and said “I can tell you right now, you’ll be in trouble with your landlord and you’ll just dump him right back in a shelter.”We left feeling like we targeted and incredibly disrespected. Please go to an adoption recuse or a different establishment.

It has taking me a month to finally write about my dog. My dog died a month before her 1st bday. The vet says she had congenital kidney failure. Do not get your dogs at places like this. Go to a reputable breeder or adopt.My family and I are still having a hard time with our loss.They also don’t pick up phone calls!

Went to this location yesterday with my children , was told we weren’t able to take out any chihuahuas or pomeraines to see how they would interact with us because I had children, they also informed me and my husband that we should not buy those types of dogs because we have children. If I am paying $1500 for a dog why are you concerned with what kind of dog my family is interested in buying. Very poor customer service not very pleasant . Even when we looked at a bigger dog we were told that dog wouldn’t be a good fit for children. I will not be buying any puppy from this location , I would definitely look into retraining your staff! How is anyone supposed to feel comfortable buying a puppy when you can’t even take them out to see how they interact with you and your family.

Just Puppies get their puppies from puppy mills. My daughter purchased a Yorkie from there that became very, very, sick when she was 10 weeks old and found out she had a liver shunt. Unfortunately she passed. Most puppies come from there act scared or intimidating, shy and were abused at some point. After finding out where Just Puppies get their puppies we never went back. Fortunately they did replace the puppie, but if the puppy had an good exam prior to selling, the store would have known about Gizmo health issues. Good luck buyers!!

In December I purchased an 2 pound Maltipoo and I absolutely love her! I would’ve gave it 5 stars however there was a delay in any acknowledgement from staff when we first arrived. After seeing a puppy I was interested in they did ask if I was I seriously considering buying today because the puppy was under 3 pounds I guess.. I told them yes. I played with multiple puppies all under 3 pounds and left with the one I saw online and originally wanted. They explained the heath concerns/precautions for puppies under 3 pounds very well. Besides the delay, I honestly had an great experience my puppy is soooo lovable and finally over 3 pounds. I do go back for food however they are closed but there’s a sign on the door with a number to call so they can let you in to purchase your food. I just went yesterday to purchase another 3lb bag of food!

We booked a puppy because my kids loved it. However since we were new and we had nothing at home to take care of the new puppy , we put it on hold for four days to pickup. Just puppies gave her to adoption to some others. We drove 3 hours, waited for an hour and my kids really loved - took pictures and send it all our friends and family.After 2 days, the lady calls and says the manager sold it without knowing it was on hold. They told us they won't allow even others to play with it. I paid 100 for the puppy and I was surprised after 2 days it was not entered into the system.I don't believe this and I think the manager/someone deliberately sold it for someone he/she likes or knows.

I read the reviews and too be honest I was a little skeptical. But I wanted to get my mother a puppy for Christmas and this was the closest place. I did not notice any of the weird smells people were talking about nor did I encounter any rude staff members. There were 2 young ladies there that assisted me and my mother with our purchase. She left with what she wanted and she couldn't be happier. Will definitely be back to spend the rest of our credit there. Thanks ladies!

Puppy mill puppies. Do not buy. Research puppy Mills and what they are. Poorly bred dogs and not purebreds. Go to a shelter or reputable breeder instead. Edit: That's not true at all. You can call the breeders you buy from "reputable" That doesn't mean that they are. Pet store puppies are never a safe buy and actual reputable breeders do not sell their puppies at pet stores. Puppy mills are still legal so it's really not a lie to say that your puppies are from puppy mills. My friends have gotten puppies from you that grew to be poorly bred with health issues and downright mixed breeds when they were marketed as purebred. And looking at these one star reviews, you're seriously playing dumb with all of your responses. You're not fooling anyone. **Edited again: So glad by 2020 Just Puppies will no longer be selling their puppy mill puppies!! Happy that Maryland is making animal welfare a priority. I love my state!

I have been speaking with Chealsy for about two weeks now and finally went to meet her along with my new Chipoo yesterday. The Customer service was amazing. You must go see for yourself. The place was very nice and clean. I am so excited about our New addition to the family. Price was really great too. They wanted $5,000 for the same puppy in VA. Thanks Just Puppies in Townsend MD for such an Ultimate Puppy shopping experience.

I loved this place. The staff is friendly and nice, the puppies were excited and adorable. You guys need to stop lying the dogs are fine there and I sat in a room with the puppy and it was fine. Your just trying to put Just Puppies out of business even though they are a good place. I like it they have good prices, not like Charm City Puppies who sell the pups for almost $2000. If you guys want to put a bad review out there for Just Puppies, you should be doing that to CCP. Those puppies are from a puppy mill. Conclusion: JP is a good place

The guy who greeted us was very nice, but one woman in particular was extremely rude and rushed our visit. My boyfriend and I were curious about where the puppies came from, but still wanted to know the different breeds that would be suitable for our work and lifestyle. There was a girl who ended up helping us and she was very impatient and didn’t believe we were seriously considering. She was pushy and didn’t believe my age, etc. I wouldn’t recommend this place. The puppies looked so sad and the place smelled like chemicals.

Charged me more than the lady told me my puppy would be. The place stunk so bad. They brought my puppy out of the back.. because I figured out later he was sick. Failed to tell me he was sick and had been treated for kennal cough 3 times already. He was dirty, poop all over his fur. Lied and said he was 4 months old but when I had the chance to properly read the paper work at home he was 6 months old. I was shocked when they didn't even ask me any personal questions. Didn't even ask if I had a job or a home to take him home too. The "health guarantee", is BS! You MUST take them to THEIR vet who obviously is also in it for money, she praised them up and down and made me feel small. My dog has and will forever have breathing problems. I'm just glad I saved him from that terrible place.

My family and I had a horrible experience with Just Puppies in 2011, but we never left a bad review until a friend of mine recently went through a similar experience. These dogs are sold sickly, and in horrible condition because they are puppy mill dogs. Our vet told us this the day we had to put our puppy down, only a week after we purchased her. She had a congenital liver defect and Just Puppies refused to cover vet costs because we didn’t take her to “their vet” however it was the weekend and it was an emergency situation and their vet was closed. So we were stuck with a dead puppy, a huge vet bill, and a broken heart. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It’s horrible and should be shut down. I wish I was more educated on puppy mills at the time.

Staff are absolutely cruel to little kids.Upon hearing that our family might get a dog for Christmas, my 8 and 11 yr old sons have been begging to go to Just Puppies to look for one. The 8 yr old stuck his finger in a cage while I wasn’t looking, but a split second later I saw it and pulled his finger away, knowing that fingers are not supposed to go in the cage.A woman at the front desk yelled at him “you’re not playing with any dogs today” and he started crying.After waiting for 45 minutes, the staff handling the dogs and people visiting them let everyone who came after us go before us. My husband asked if we could go in, and the staff member was extremely rude.She said that since my son stuck his finger in the cage, we would not be able to spend time with any of the dogs.Nearly every person there stuck their fingers in the cage at some point, but she decided to take it out on my kids, igniting two temper tantrums.It not only made my 8 yr old cry, but my 11 yr old too as they were both looking forward to playing with a puppy we might get.Their management only responds to bad reviews as a way to try to cover up the nasty behavior of their employees.Please, don’t spend your money here.

I'm sorry. I worked at a place that saw a lot of these puppies. Some of them were just fine. Most of them came in so sick. Many were euthanized instead of getting care: such as a blood transfusion. Some were euthanized just because they were so sick at 9 weeks old. They all come in so dirty and disgusting. They say they but from reputable breeders. Some are. But others, not so much. Just make sure your research is done on the breeders they are coming from. Dogs have come in from breeders that have many violations. One was shut down... But reopened in another name. Just please please do your research. They're not all bad.

I don't know any reputable breeder who would sell to a company to resell their dog other than a puppy mill. The dogs are enclosed in small cages, I feel really bad for the large breed dogs like the lab pacing in circles in his cage. Don't buy here it only enables them to get more dogs and continue staying open. Purchase from a reputable breeder or adopt, there are many full bred dogs in shelters and rescues!

Don’t go to get laces like this. They don’t care about their animals. They are only worried about money. Please don’t go to places like this and support puppy mills and irresponsible breeders. This type of store couldn’t care less about their puppies. Please if you love animals go to a shelter or a reputable breeder. This place os horrible. I hope they get shut down. The people who work here and run this only want money. Hope this place gets shut down so there will be less dogs and puppies suffering and dying. If only the peopleKnew what the mothers of these puppies went through to have them you would change your mind on going there. These puppies mothers are forced to have puppies and then when they can’t produce them more puppies they kill the mother. This place supports that kind of cruelty.

I work in a veterinary clinic and the majority of puppies that come to us after adoption for initial exams are sick with one thing or another. Most of all with upper realities infections which effects all other pets in your household. It’s sad that my and many other clinics are not surprised with the amount of sick visits we get from puppies that come from this store. To me, this means they’re dirty and don’t care about the welfare of their animals. Very sad and they should be ashamed of themselves. I’d give zero starts if I could. DO NOT ADOPT FROM JUST PUPPIES unless you’re ready for sick visits with your regular vet after. For the prices they charge this place should feel terrible deceiving the public like that. Shame on you Just Puppies.

My miniature poodle puppy has been EXTREMELY SICK, at one point near death, from Just Puppies. My dog was emaciated, vet confirmed with pre-existing condition of acute ear infection, parasites (Girardia), Parvo (deadly), kennel cough that transpired to pneumonia. Per the contract, it states "puppies will be sold with a clean bill of health" and my dog was in any other shape but that. I offered them the opportunity to make things right before I pursued further action, but their management questioned the vet records. They did pay for the vet bills, as they should and it is basically used like insurance, but they should compensate me for the product (dog) I purchased was near death.Just Puppies Response04/25/2018We are sorry to hear about your puppy being diagnosed with common things when getting a puppy. Studies show that regardless of where you purchase your puppy from, common things like what you puppy had are not more prevalent from a puppy from a pet store. Prior to your puppy going home, she was up-to-date on all vaccinations and preventative treatment on worms, parasites and flea and tick. Also, all puppies are examined by a veterinarian at least twice prior to going home. All precautions were taken to make sure that the puppies are healthy when leaving our store. We are glad to hear that your puppy is doing better, that the veterinarian was able to treat your puppy at no cost to you and that Just Puppies did everything to make sure your puppy was healthy.

YES GUYS THIS PLACE IS CLOSED DOWN. There is an open civil suit in regards to the dogs/puppies sold. Do not waste your time driving or calling they are closed. My bf purchased a dog from there that ended up sick/mentally challenged, had cancer and had to be put down after 4 yrs of having him.

Just Puppies overall is a horrible company. I used to work for one of the vets that contracted with a close by Just Puppies and a majority of the puppies had kennel cough, diarrhea, and an assortment of other issues. They send the puppies home with stitches that were placed to help mend hernias an tell the owners that the breeders put them there for good luck. I didn't see that just once, with the same story, I saw it one in ten cases that came through from just puppies. The "Mature" anti smear campaign you guys are trying to do is just sad, don't buy your puppies from them. If you want a puppy or a dog that really needs love, hit the shelter.
