Small home town retro atmosphere! Everyone is very friendly and full of smiles! I indulged in the “Goodmorning” it was perfect the bacon was the right crispy texture and the breakfast potatoes were flavorful! What a find. This place is quaint. So old school. Comfy, inside and outside dining. Decor makes you smile and reminisce about when you were younger, maybe what you had in your house growing up or what your Grandparents had. The food was fresh and delicious. The redskin potatoes were the BEST we’ve ever had. The seasoning was phenomenal. We obviously were not the only people who thought so. They sell it with and without salt. ITS THAT GOOD

Ending a romantic weekend on the eastern shore, my wife and I stopped at Two if by Sea in search of something to fill our stomachs for the long drive home. Not only did we find welcoming service and delicious food, but we found an authentic slice of what makes small town America so beautiful.Entering the café, you are greeted with a wave of warmth from the kitchen, the staff swarming around diners to fill coffees and clean tables, and the mass of bodies laughing through their breakfast with friends, family, and random encounters with strangers embodying the friendliness of the eastern shore. The old wooden counters are stocked with all the tools of breakfast, silverware ready to be claimed, salt, pepper, hot sauce, and any number of additions that one might wish to make to their coffee. Shelves filled with knick-knacks, old-world curios, and an invitation for wandering eyes to discover something that catches their attention while you wait for service. It seems that timing is everything. For a building with an unassuming silhouette, the entryway tells a story of quality and popularity as diners congregate and threaten to bust open the door with their rumbling stomachs. For this reason, it took a few moments to receive service at our table because of some confusion among the staff as to which direction they needed to run first. Fortunately, we were in no rush - as it seems so few people are on Tilghman Island - so we were content to sit back and 'people watch'. Besides, when we had ordered our food, it was presented to us almost moments later.I had ordered the 'Good Morning' plate, which came with eggs, home fries, and a choice of meat. My wife ordered a BLT with tater tots. It was curious to see the chef engage with 'down home' cooking in a serious and considered manner. For a style of cooking that is so often correlated with slapdash carelessness and a little bit of whatever you have available, it was clear to see that Two if by Sea took pride and care in the food that they present, even in a plate as simple as eggs and potatoes. Perhaps unnoticed and underappreciated by the slew of casual diners, I would wager that this care and consideration of flavor is one of several undercover factors that brings such crowds to the café - though undeniably demands well-deserved attention through the cooking classes provided by the chef throughout the year.Overall, the reasonable prices, delicious food, friendliness of the staff, and the invitation to step back into a period of this country that makes you forget about social media and Monday morning meetings were all powerful hooks that made the thought of Two if by Sea linger in my mind throughout the drive home and across the days after. I couldn't recommend this place enough for a chance to unplug, feel levelled with those around you, strip away artifice and pretentiousness of our daily lives and just enjoy some simple eggs and potatoes. I can't wait to return.Parking: There are a number of free parking spaces at the front of the business, but with the limited options for breakfast on the island and the popularity of Two if by Sea, it is easy to find yourself searching for somewhere else to park or patiently wait for someone else to leave. If it is possible to walk over the café, you should.

Was pretty disappointed with this place after looking at some of the reviews. My wife and I ordered the Short Stack, Good Morning with home fries, Chicken Sliders on Biscuits with Eastern Shore Tots, Watermelon Bellini, and Iced Latte. When the server came out with the latte, he told us that he wasn't old enough to pour the bellini but he could do the latte. However, that latte was one of the most watered down drinks we had and my wife couldn't drink it after one sip. However, when the bellini came out, it was pretty good and wasn't too sweet. The pancakes we received were not good at all and were burnt on one side (bottom side) on one and both sides on the other. The Good Morning was fine but the home fries were really nothing special and were served cold. The Chicken Sliders were okay and the gravy served with them was actually pretty flavorful and not too salty. The chicken in them was not good though. It was just a frozen pressed (formed) chicken patty that was heated up. I was really hoping it would be an actual chicken cutlet and not just an oversized chicken nugget. The Eastern Shore Tots were just plain tots, but I was hoping that they would have some sort of seasoning.Overall the food was not good and the waitress wasn't really friendly. The prices were cheap, which is really the main redeeming factor.

Fun authentically local restaurant. We had breakfast here two days in a row (not many other places around) and had good food each day. I really liked the Chorizo Hash and Eggs and the breakfast burrito. They have cappuccino drinks and good hot coffee. Very pleasant staff.

A Fantastic Find! Stopped in for late breakfast/brunch after a couple nights stay in Saint Michaels. The menu is big so be prepared to make hard choices, because so many things look amazing and the ones we had definitely delivered. Most of all we felt welcomed as soon as we walked in the door and Debbie’s jovial mood was contagious.Delicious breakfast and a wonderful experience. Best breakfast I’ve had on the Eastern Shore. Do not sail past, either by land or by sea, without stopping in.

Kitschy place in a small town that has lots of charm. Amazing creations, perfectly seasoned dishes, ridiculously friendly staff who clearly enjoy their job. We can't wait to return!

Visited twice last weekend. First was takeout. Came in told the cashier I want to place a takeout order. She told me she would have to check with the chef. Got the OK. Asked for a menu and went to sit at the counter to look over the menu, no one else was sitting there. Was told I couldn't sit at the counter. Wanted to order the eggs with spanich and feta but wanted to leave off the feta. Was told they would have to ask the chef. Chef says no, I would have to order the eggs and spinach separately, which ended up costing more than if I had gotten it with feta. Also ordered French toast. Told them I was going to wait outside at one of the tables. Cashier tells me I can't sit there. Says, " take a ride around the island". Picked up food got back to my hotel, no maple syrup.Thought I would give them a second try. Sat inside ordered eggs, hash browns, and toast. Eggs are good, but the hash browns and toast are cold. Nothing worse than toast the butter wouldn't melt on. Their seemed to be more server's and buses than customers, but service was still slow. Seemed like the employees are afraid to make any decisions without checking with the chef. The atmosphere was nice, had that old country store feel.Parking: Only a couple spots in front but there is a lot around the corner

We really enjoyed our time at this restaurant on Tilghman Island. Food was delicious. Servers were great, fun, and we felt welcomed! Lots of interesting stuff to look at. Place is bigger than it looks. Bit of a ride if you are not local but I guarantee you won't regret it.

My wife and I tried to go there for breakfast. I tried to order something without an ingredient. (Bacon gravy). I was told that we could not make any changes to the menu and that you get everything listed on ingredients. Even after I told her it was a religious dietary restriction, the waitress told us she couldn’t do anything. So we left. Apparently when you order there you have to eat everything listed on an item, even if you are allergic or restricted.

I was in town for a wedding and I wanted to try this restaurant. It wasn’t too crowded when we arrived so we got seated right away. The waitress was nice. I ordered the hangover burger and it was delicious and my partner ordered pancakes and corned beef hash. The corned beef hash was $8.50 and I thought was overpriced for just the side but everything else I thought was fairly priced.

A decent enough greasy spoon centered around a grumpy chef with an attitude his dishes don’t make up for. It’s all fine enough, though, as long as you don’t get *her* as a waitress. If you’ve been you’ll know who I mean — the large grumpy one who treats you like yesterday’s bacon drippings until she delivers the check hoping you’ll forgot her scowl when it’s tipping time. So; 4 starts if you don’t get her, 2 stars if you do.

Today was my 3rd visit to Two if by Sea and each visit is even better than the last! The Tilghman Cubano may be the best sandwich I’ve ever had. But then the Croque Monsieur… unbelievable. The staff are friendly and authentic. It is heartwarming to see the same faces and bright personalities each time. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Went to a wedding and ride our bikes to this gem. I have worked in restaurants for years. The soft shell eggs Benny was superb. So much so that we returned the next day for the same. Best breakfast in my 58 years. Pleasant environment with nice live music. Not one thing I’d change including the local customer service. We took 5 others on the third day and they loved it too! Don’t expect fine dining. Expect great food! Loved it. Can not wait to get back there!

Great food, but… kind of a weird place. Why weird? Two reasons, which won’t prevent me from coming back, but… they’re, well, odd. 1) No changes to the menu, at all, except some gluten free options (if you ask). 2) They charge for tap water. In the first case, I sorta get it. You start allowing changes and substituons and, suddenly, everyone’s a dang chef. I’ve worked in restaurants - makes sense, even if it’s a little harsh. I think “no additions or substitutions” makes a little more sense, because then you’re only left with folks who want to remove items. So, weird, especially for a small diner, but fair enough. The second piece is downright strange. Who the heck charges for water? I asked if it was tap water and I was told, “No, it comes from the soda fountain.” And, I almost added, “which… comes from the same place as the tap…” But, the server said, “It comes out ice cold.” She then said, “It’s listed on the menu.”Ok… this is preposterous. I accept it’s listed on the menu, but who checks to see if water is billable. How about the silverware? The A/C? What about the menus? Should we rent menus? Lease the silverware? What about putting a down payment on some plates? It’s comical.Seriously, folks - build the cost of water into the menu, if you need the money. But, charging me for tap water is absurd.
