The produce is half rotten. The tomatoes have brown spits on them and some even have white mold. Most of the produce looks like something I would throw out. I have to drive to frederick to get produce that will get me through the week 😩 the first smell into the store was of rotten citrus. People could get really sick from buying thete produce and my heart goes out to the elderly that may not have a choice 😪

Only option was self checkout. This ensured I only purchased a small fraction of what I was planning on buying. To those who see self checkout as a feature, go for it. I on the other hand will be shopping elsewhere. Also, your produce has mold.

Go to Food Lion. They have cashiers at ever register. This place has 1 super busy line and then 13 other lines staffed by a few others. They could use more staffi g at registers and at the deli. Both are under staffed.

It's just a wei's. A wei's place to be. It's got all sorts of stuffs. I picked up portobello mushroom veggie burgers. And...they got banana concentrate juice. It looked funky. No pics. It's a wei's experience.

I snap a photo with my phone every time I go into this store. It reminds me not to shop in this store. It never fails. I shop there and they have one register open most of the time. The only reason I even go there is because the pharmacy is great. However, if you want groceries, go to Food Lion. They open registers when the line gets too long and their prices are better too.

Super clean store that is nicely laid out and easy to navigate. Store carries a wide variety of products and reasonable prices.The produce is beautiful and very fresh. The meat department has excellent selections.The store carries a nice selection of flowers and cards. Super friendly staff.

Only having ONE check out lane is a pain!!!!! You REALLY need to put people back to work! I refuse to use self check out and put more of your employees out of work. I do not work there, I do not get a discount for doing your job.PLEASE!!! OPEN MORE REGISTERS!!!Your customer service sucks!!!

Everyone that works here is so friendly. I just wish they didn't play country music.Update: I initially gave 4 stars with the above comment. I noticed on my very next trip that they changed the music. Every time I have been back (which is minimum once a week and sometimes more), I havent heard any country. Im really impressed... its improved my shopping experience greatly

I absolutely hate there is only one lane with an employee to checkout a customer. Today I only had one item so I went to aisle 13. The scanner wasn’t working and even when I pushed the button for help none of the five employees at the far end of the aisles didn’t move. I went to aisle 14. Because no one was in the Customer Service desk, I asked for a manager. Two young women appeared. One said nothing. The other listened to my concerns and asked if I wanted to talked to a manager. That is what I had asked for from the beginning. Frederick may not be as convenient to drive to but with more and cheaper items, that is where I’m spending my grocery budget.

Went to Weis as I often do on my way home. Found only self checkout with employees standing at the ready. Was assisted by an employee as I was forced to self checkout. Haven't been back since as I vote with my consumer dollar. I have grown to love the food lion a short distance away. I won't be calling corporate and I will be back when I have an option.

This store is always clean. The employees are helpful. The food is fresh and good quality. It doesn't have the biggest selection of fruits and veggies but definitely has all the basics. Always has sales going on. Usually some good deals on meats like buy one get one. All in all a good store

The stars are for the phsrmacy, which I would give them a 5 for, but this is rating the whole store. Weis is more expensive than the other local grocery store. Hate the way they do their BOGO's ,5 for $5, 10 for $10 deals, and their electronic coupons. If you see a 5 for $5 sale item, you have to buy all 5 to get the items for $1. If you only want or need 3 or so, you pay full price. At Food Lion, a mile away, if you get 3 items, you pay $3. I don't know if they still do it (its why I stopped shopping there) they started electronic coupons. I have a Weis card (or used my phone number, why on earth would I carry around grocery store cards for 20 years), alot of what I was shopping for happened to have an electric coupon. Now I had to download the app enter most of the information they already had, just so they could get my email address to send me more junk email. I go through all of this until the app asks for the numbers on my store card. Idk, I haven't had that card in years, again, that's why I enter my phone number. I go with my almost full cart to customer service to get my card number. They basically tell me they can't give it to me, hand me a new card to fill out my information again. At that point I said, "That's it, I'm done, I've already spent a ridiculous amount of time here just to get a sale price on more expensive items, I am leaving this cart here, sorry, not sorry, someone else can put everything back. I am going to Food Lion." Probably not the nicest thing I could've done, but I could've been worse. I would rather shop at Food Lion they are cheaper and friendlier.

Forced to use self checkout while 2 employees watched on because the one and only real checkout that has someone earn their working dollars went on break. So....if one of the two self-checkout watchers went on break, that only leaves one watching those lanes But they need 2 because employee working checkout went break instead of moving a watcher to actually work? I worked my hours today and Yes I should've left my cart in the middle of the aisle for them to put away but no worries, I'll be sure to do it next time.

The biggest down fall of having only one register that is not self checkout. When you do us self checkout you have to wait for employees to finish their conversation with other employees and/ call for someone to help several times before someone will help. I couldn't ring up bananas with the sticker on the bananas at self check out without having an employee come over. Its ridiculous to have self checkout lanes that people aren't paying attention to or you have employees looking at you like you are stealing something.

This store always, always, always overcharges. They use to give you the item free if they overcharged, & your money back. Now you have to waste your time to ask for the amount back they overcharged.Today I was overcharged $5 + on $86 order. One item casher double charged, one item she entered the wrong code.Over charged yet again! Only one cashier ever working. Then I had to wait for someone to come to the service desk to refund my 2.65. I think they just want you to leave. Is this really worth my time? Worthless store!Check your receipts!

Tried calling the deli ahead twice to order chicken and no answer got to the store asked one of the clerks for a 12 piece he said it would be 5 minutes. 10 minutes go by nothing. So I figured while I’m waiting I’ll get some lunch meat I ask and the guy just walks away comes back 5 minutes later says he’s not old enough to slice meat. Then the guy with the attitude comes and I’m still waiting on the 5 minute chicken now 15 minutes. The attitude pulls the chicken I said is that my 12 piece he says no you have to call 30 minutes ahead, I said I did and no one answered he said can’t you see I’m by myself. What a joke this place is but they have several people standing around self checkout. Maybe some customer training would help. Place needs better management are something

I am not being paid to check myself out nor am I receiving a discount for doing so. Waiting in line for the one and only person checkout is not adding to your customer service when other clerks are standing around talking and not even helping the one person to do the bagging .

Good luck if you planned on getting vaccinated here at the pharmacy. Supposed to provide flu shots and covid shots with my insurance but for whatever reason they can't bill it properly. Made me wait 45 minutes not notifying me of any of the issue. Even showed up 20 minutes early. What a joke.

I love Weis always have since I was a little kid it was where my parents shopped. I was brought up on their milk and no matter which one I go to till this day they still have good produce, meat and baked goods. Last but not least their employees are always friendly and very helpful.

This was my second time shopping hear once last summer for food and just the other day for a potato peeler. I bought two peelers so me and my husband could peel a 10 lbs bag of potatoes for Easter but it doesn't work with potatoes just apples I thought a peeler was just like any other tried to return it. They don't do returns, I was like are you serious that's ridiculous really, every store I know of that I shop does returns you need to put a bold bold sign no returns. Also put it on your receipts your policys should be on your receipts. I shouldn't have to to research after the fact that you dont do returns but go through so much trouble to find your information on your website. I'm not a regular shopper how would I have known and thank god i ain't. Keep up with the times and be ethical.

Very expensive store and the product is the same as you get anywhere else not sure why their prices are so steep and their butcher is terrible always thin cut steaks that look like someone hacked them apart. Very much below what I expect the only good part that got it 2 stars is the seafood section with live lobsters and fresh fish and shrimp which can be steamed upon request

Not a fan of self check out. I don't work there. Pay an arm an a leg for next to nothing then I have to do the work to check out and bag while an employee watches. They are down to 1 register with a worker doing the checkout.

I went shopping Christmas Eve about 1:30 in the afternoon. After I park I got my cart got my stuff went to the line with no problem at all. There was plenty of people in each department especially the seafood department the grocery store floor. There is even a lot of people outside helping you with your cart definitely a thumbs up for Weis thank you so much for a great shopping experience.

place has gone downhill. Quality is trash. Now they only have self checkouts. Will never be spending any of my money at this Weis ever again. Encourage people to do the same , this place is going to lose so much business over their idiotic new self checkout only system.
