This store has the worst parking lot ever especially if you try to push someone in a wheelchair to get into the door, it's very difficult! This area is definitely NOT wheelchair accessible and as you can see in the pictures, there are two vehicles parked in the handicap spots where the door is (and these are not large vehicles either)! If these vehicles were any larger, or had either vehicle parked more in the middle of their space, there would be no room to push the wheelchair through! And the area where the door is, it's also terrible! It's bumpy and uneven so it's very difficult to get the wheelchair over that too! And the amount of parking spaces for this store is small and limited so sometimes it's very hard to find a spot to park your vehicle!

I will still visit from time to time. But your pricing has to change. And to the lady training people to price she is hiking up pricing on so many things. I heard her tell a new employee he priced things too low and to take them back off the floor. She said “oh no, those items need to be priced much higher”. It was glassware. That was 3 weeks ago. I returned today and guess what… those same items were still on the shelf. You know why? Because they were priced extremely high. Goodwill corporate if you care or even read these reviews you really need to visit this store and many other Frederick, MD locations and tone down the pricing. Items are sitting for weeks. This is the worst Goodwill we go to. The parking is terrible for anyone that uses a wheelchair. It's even hard to get a wheelchair in the door where the ramp is sometimes because they have parking right there in front of the door. And it's bumpy and uneven at the door. I'm not sure how they haven't been cited for it. None of their handicapped spaces are real handicapped spaces, they just have signs up. They only have about 10 spaces to park and often there are no spaces available. I had to bring my mom in through the donation area. Half the time we just drive away, no spaces to park.

Nice Goodwill store. Very neat and clean. One room has clothing and accessories the second room has housewares, electronics, toys, and books. The clothing section is very well organized by type and size. New stock was being added the entire time we were shopping. The employees really seemed to care about their store!

Picked up a kids electronic discovery toy from the electronics section. When I got to the register with it, and the handful of other odds and ends, the cashier started berating me about it saying “this isn’t electronics” and demanding I tell her where I got it from. In short she was definitely trying to accuse me of tag switching/theft. Very nasty condescending attitude, especially considering I genuinely wasn’t doing anything wrong. Perhaps she should work in the back as a processor since she’s such a professional sorter? She’s definitely not cut out for customer service. Won’t be visiting this location again.

It's a great shopping experience! You can tell by the way the store is stocked so nicely, that the employees work really hard to merchandise. Very full racks and shelves, but also VERY well organized. Super prices and selection. Definitely something for everyone!

It's an great store to visit, but the people of Thurmont just make the experience of shopping there suck. I watched two old birds talking just unfold a huge comforter in the back but just leave it on the shopping carts up front ,just because they couldn't get it for a $1🤦🏿‍♀. It's impossible to ask a worker anything because some towns person is already talking their ear off trying to get the price of something lowered and it's something REASONABLY PRICED ANYWAY. The cheap annoying towns people make shopping here annoying the end

Great location! This is the perfect little store for the quaint little town. Prices tend to be a little high but everyone has high prices anymore. However you would think that with no need for them to buy merchandise to sell that they could keep their selling prices lower still.

My husband and I used to travel 20 miles from Waynesboro to visit this store, but today we went in and discovered that instead of providing fitting rooms, they have a "seven day return policy". Sheesh.....

I usually enjoy this store but a week or so ago, the old lady was giving attitude to a nice lady wanting to return an item. I then went to get a cart at the door like I have always done and she yells at me to get a sanitized cart. Keep in mind there is no signs telling you what carts are sanitized or anything. Usually she is so friendly, which is why I gave 3 stars, but treat your customers how you would yourself like to be treated.

I have recently visited this store under revamped management along with the rest of the Frederick County Goodwills that fall under it. Since the revamp, prices have gone up. The Thurmont location is completely rearranged, however, not for the better. Still seems to be junky looking. For a long time now, most of the staff there are unsociable and snotty acting, except for one. All Frederick County stores have done away with their rewards card, which I really liked. A BIG "👎" for Goodwill! Your changes ARE NOT for the better and may cost you your customer base in the near future. BAD FORM!! 😠Visited today , (7-3-21). The staff are completely obnoxious and VERY IMMATURE!! The employees there need to GROW UP and learn how to manage a store CORRECTLY!!! There should not be yelling, drama between employees IN FRONT OF YOUR CUSTOMERS!! 🙈🙉🙊 If there needs to be something settled between staff, then go to the back of the store or in your office. Then if that was not enough, the employees talked about another coworker crying in the back!! I will repeat in case you missed it......GROW UP!!!

No dressing rooms?! Instead, return within seven days for store credit?! How do the decision makers at Goodwill of Monoacy Valley not understand that humans (and clothes) come in all shapes and sizes? I must try on a dozen pair of pants to find a pair or two that are the right length, cut, width or waist size. I sometimes fit a medium or a large shirt, and sometimes I wear a size 12 or a size 14. Then, there is simply the consideration that it might look nice ont he hanger but not flattering when worn (or vice versa). Being unable to try on clothes before buying them causes me to no longer shop your stores. It is disappointing. Please reconsider.

I used to love coming here, but I noticed prices went way up... over 3 dollars for a small basket ?? 4.50 for a single plate. 6.50 for a old wreath. Come on yall . It's goodwill not the 75 percent off discount section at hobby lobby where its all new.

I like this store alot more than westminster store.the prices are another better and the quality of the merchandise is good. Nothing broken on the shelvesAnd the employees are very kind and helpful

Normally Excellent, However I did go last week and bought a Crock Pot and next day bought a Roast. And the following morning I put Roast in , went to work, came home it was Raw. Next day I took it back, no refund or credit. I've shopped there every week for 6 yrs. and Donated lots of stuff and they wouldn't stretch the rule just a little bit for me and my wife.

don't overlook this Goodwill store. It might look small on the outside but it is much bigger on the inside. Good selection of items and all fairly priced. Clean and neat inside as well. Parking is a bit tricky outside so please drive safely.

As thrift stores go, this one is well organized and well stocked. Not a lot of furniture, but lots of cloths and odds-n-ends. It is clean and well lighted. Parking could be more plentiful. The lot is frequently full, but there is on the street parking. I visit frequently.

I absolutely love this place, it’s so clean and organized and the staff are really nice! The only part I didn’t like was that usually in goodwills there is a whole section for records, and this isn’t their fault, but I didn’t like that they only had a few records and not a lot of options, but I definitely recommend going here to find some barely used clothes, there were also really nice skirts and they looked new.

Today I went to Waynesboro and Thurmont Goodwill. at Waynesboro I paid $7.99 for jeans and $3.99 for leggings at Thurmont I paid $9.99 for jeans and $6.99 for leggings. Thurmond has no changing rooms so you buy the clothes try them on at home if they don’t fit you have seven days to return them and you get a store credit. I don’t think I’ll shop that much anymore

There summer dress prices are crazy $12_20. Do they not realize you can go to a normal store and pay that price. It's a second hand store everything it suppose to be cheap. For people that can't afford normal prices or is looking for deals. This store is Crazy.

Bought several toys at various times only to find out that somone had donated broken items.With the raise in prices these items should be returnable. Most had battery acid leaking.

A solid, well-organized thrift store. Parking is very tight and little room for overflow parking during the week. I hope they return to their early opening hours on Sundays.
