We were traveling through the area and needed to find medicine for our son who is sick. I can't speak highly enough about how friendly the staff was from the floor staff, to the cashier, to the pharmacist and the manager. Everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful in assisting us with finding what we needed for our son and wishing him well. Thank you for your compassion!

Doc called in my scrips at 5:15 pm pharmacy is open til 8 pmI called and was asked if I could hold. I said yes…ONE HOUR LATER STILL ON HOLD since I live close by I drove to pharmacy drive thru still on hold, both people I seen were rude. He tried talking to me through the glass which obviously I could not hear him so he wrote on paper pick up at 10 am. I am livid how long do you need to fill simple medication these were easy scripts!!! I WILL NO LONGER GIVE CVS PHARMACY MY BUSINESSHORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Worst CVS around. Take the time and drive a little to any other CVS. Scheduled a flu shot and then upon arrival got a text message to check in. Cool, everywhere does that now. Problem is it tells you to go wait in the pharmacy vaccine area and a member will be out shortly for your vaccination. After waiting 10 minutes standing someone finally asked if I needed help. I said nope just checked in and waiting on my shot. She said oh you’ll need to get in line and check in. What’s the point of checking in online then? On top of all that the drive through is periodically closed. Unacceptable

While I understand there have been staffing shortages everywhere this CVS has been absolutely horrible at communicating when there pharmacy is closed. I sat on hold for 3 hours last week to get medicine filled for my daughter who has asthma. After driving there I was only greeted with a sign that says "closed till further notice". When being told they would be open the next day at 9am and making arrangements for me to be there in person right at 9a... they were closed and again there was a sign that said "closed till further notice". For people who depend on medications, they have done an absolutely job at ensuring their patient have been notified of there need for unexpected closures. They have an automated system that can tell you when medications are ready....but why cant they notify you of any closings that defer from they typical hours this way?

Waited on phone for 24 minutes to get Pharmacy to call doctors office to get a partial refill due to doctor not prescribing enough pills. Told them I'd been waiting for 24 minutes and I was told that there were only 2 people on duty. HEY, NOT MY PROBLEM. And today, (10/18) the pharmacy is closed due to computer system crash. Boy, aren't computers wonderful.......hate to write negative reviews but this is just not right. People who call in should be answered in the order of customers who walk in or call in. Don't just wait on the walk-in people until they're all gone and then answer the phone, if that's what happened.

I am thoroughly disappointed with the service I received throughout my pregnancy. I needed approval for a medication I have been taking and is documented in CVS website for last 8+ years. Every month. I even had refills to this prescription on file before moving back to MD. I changed insurance and needed authorization before refilling but I can't go without this medication. CVS policy is to refuse allowing me to refill and pay cash even for a person with well documented illness. It is appalling. So I spent an entire day working to get the authorization complete and it was approved as urgent, same day but I still had to wait to fill until the following day. This means almost 4-6 hours off work because of a CVS policy. To make matters worse, the employees treated me like I'm a criminal and were unapologetic.

I really want to like this pharmacy but I find whenever I am attempting to refill a prescription there are multiple obstacles to hurdle. I continuily receive different information from the front desk technicians regarding why a prescription has not been filled, only to then find out after the second or third try it has been filled. When I question them about the inaccurate information I have received previously there is no response or even an apology. I find it quite frustrating, just today my inlaw called to get a refill and he was told, "they could not refill it due to it being to soon," "but he could call his doctor and have them call a special order in". He called me for help, by chance I looked at his account online and it showed the medication "in process"! I called the pharmacy and they of course told me they were filling it and it should be ready in an hour. The information relayed to my inlaw, to me, then to the pharmacy could not have been more than 30 minutes! I literally do not understand all the miscommunication.

Its not like anything will change due to this review but this cvs is by far the worst. I understand being short staffed because I work retail but they deal with medications that people absolutely need. Some people need these medications in order to litteraly live their lives and the attitude the staff has and never having the meds people need is absolutely rediculous I think they need either new ownership or new management something needs to change or they just need to close completely

Had nothing but problems with this pharmacy. Recently dropped off prescriptions & was going to pick them up the next day. Next day comes (14hrs later) and they haven't even begun to fill them. 3 others waiting for the same reason during this time. Then today... Picked up my wife after she had surgery and dropped off her prescriptions on the way home. I was quoted 30 minites. Well, i go back 5 hours later & they tell me it'll be 45 minutes. This is unacceptable. I will never be using any CVS again.

I'm growing more and more frustrated with the pharmacy at the Thurmont, MD location. My doctor sent refills on Thursday went in in Sunday,not ready yet had to wait. Totally unexceptable.

I always have a hard time with their pharmacy. If the doctor sends in an order, you have to call in order to ensure it's done on time. If not, you're stuck waiting for a few days until you actually do call. Even then, they'll take an extra hour. And I just sat on the phone to a dial tone for 5 minutes straight with no answer. They need better customer service.

Not sure why this CVS is the absolute worst I have ever been to. God forbid you need a script filled accurately and expediently. Pharmacy staff is mostly HORRIBLE. There are a couple of never very friendly and apologetic young ladies, however they cannot alone make up for their shortcomings. As a manager in the customer service field myself, I would fire and restaff the entire pharmacy department. This is NOT the way your friendly CVS should be. Very disappointing.

Went to the pharmacy today and Alan the pharmacist gave me my booster and I just want to say he is so kind and patient. Never rushes you and always welcoming and polite and willing to answer any questions you have. It's nice to see someone who is actually caring and sincere.

If I could give a zero I would. Have been trying to get my prescription for 2 weeks now and they never pick up the phone. Wanted to find out if it’s ready or do they have it in stock but I’ve been on hold for an hour now with no one picking up the phone. Never again will I send my prescription here

The pharmacy has a drive thru, i expected it to expedite just picking up or dropping off a script. I pulled up and there were already 4 vehicles behind the van at the window. I sat for 30 minutes, the van did not move. i know there is a sign in the drive up window that says that you CAN NOT WAIT while they fill a prescription. Oh, i guess unless you were the lady in the van... i went around front and parked and went back to the counter to pick it up. 2 people ahead of me, about 5 minutes. There was one girl on the register and another running around answering the phone and getting drop offs and the pharmacist. i waited until i was told my amount, looked out the window and the van was STILL there. i asked the girl at the register why it was still there, she said they are working on her prescription. i said you have a sign in the window that says you can't wait while we fill, why is the van still there after 40 minutes now? It's real inconvenience to those of us who are just picking up or dropping off and have NO issues with insurance or the prescription. She didn't say anything, i guess that was the right thing for her to do because i had a lot more to say.If you are going to let people wait at the window, take the sign off the window, if you aren't then do as you say. Horrible, horrible customer service.

Pharmacy is closed but will still take scripts from your doctor but when you show up only the store portion is open. Probably staffing issues, but they need to find a way to communicate this. Its not even updated online.

Why send text reminders that a Rx is ready for pickup only to sit in the drive thru line for 20 min to be told they have to print the label and it would be 15 min and to come back later? I already sat in the line for a half hour earlier before backing out with 2 small toddlers in the rain and coming back. Rudest customer service and ridiculous wait times.

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to.Multiple times my wife has been told her prescription is ready drove over there and then found out they hadn’t even ordered it yet. It seems ever medicine She has on her auto refills is out of stock all the time and no one remembers to order it even after being there talking to someone multiple times and being told they are ordering it now. Other Cvs’s make you feel like they care and call other places to find your medicine else where. This cvs is just awful. They definitely need to get a new manager and hire more people. Until then I’d go somewhere else.

I’ve been to tons of cvs pharmacy’s to get my prescriptions (I move a lot) and this one is by far the most incompetent location I’ve ever been to. When you call to get your prescription refilled, they don’t actually fill it until you’re actually there in the store making you wait at least 20 minutes for a prescription that should already be filled. When you call before hand to make sure they fill your prescription first, they’ll lie and say it’s not in stock, just so they don’t have to do any work. And when you call them out on knowing they have it in stock, they will admit that they do but are too busy to do anything and to come back another day. Don’t waste your time going to this location there’s plenty of other better cvs stores.

Hands down the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any CVS pharmacy I’ve ever been to. I’ve waited 2-3 days for a prescriptions that the app said would be filled that same day. One I actually had to wait 4 days for. No issues like this at the other pharmacies at CVS we use, just this one.

I had surgery on Monday, September 14th. Nurse called rx to pharmacy before releasing me the afternoon on same date- in front of me. My husband goes to pick up rx that evening and was told that rx wasn't given. Nurse called it in while I was there before releasing me in front of me. A week and a half later I get a call it's ready for pick up. Really?! To late! I've used a few pharmacies in my life time and this ones the worst to the point I'm leaving this review. Only use this pharmacy because it's what our insurance company has a contract with. Debating on using another location because this one is not credible or reliable.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the worst pharmacy I've ever had to deal with in my life!! They never have your prescriptions ready, even if you get the same ones every month!! If one is called in you always have to wait for long periods of time even if you are the only one there. Please do something with this place it is freaking ridiculous!

Everytime I need a prescription in my family that are monthly scripts mind you they spend hours working on them call ahead of time say they will have ready and dont worst cvs ever.walkersville was the best I've delt with but thurmont is closer might switch back

Do not go here for photo printing. The machine did not read all my photos off of my SD card and the photo folders to hold and protect my prints that did print weren't located easily by the cashier. I specifically checked no borders on all my prints and several came out with white borders looking like photos from the '60's.

Could careless if you get your medication or not . Ridiculous would not recommend or give any stars . Sat on hold for half hour no one picked up .gus they don't care if people drop over dead .
