Great local hardware store. It's bigger than it appears and if you're not paying attention....you're lost! The plants & greenery are top notch. All of the employees are friendly and will assist with anything you need.Another great reason to live in Takoma Park.

Service is hot or miss. Some employees are friendly and courteous, others let you know that they are annoyed to have to help you. Prices are a bit higher than other places, but that’s typical with Aces. Do not get keys made here. They will not work.

Disappointed: I called ahead to see If they had Landscaping River Stones. They said there were 3 bags. I looked all over & then found attendant & they didn't help me look. I think too the Inventory was OFF & maybe someone "took" them in the last month+.

This is a decent Ace hardware with good selection, in a great location. But the past few times I have been in the staff are either not knowledgeable and helpful or seem to actively avoid interacting with customers. Like not just me. It's unfortunate because otherwise it's all good!

This is a great hardware store. I went in this week to check for plants as I got a great flat of pansies last year for a very reasonable price. They weren't in yet. The store looks small from the front, but it is a Maze of a store and is actually very large. They also have some unusual and great houseplants.

Good selection, easy parking in the rear which is free for one hour. The staff try to be helpful in finding the part you’re looking for, but in my several experiences there, this mostly results in them quizzically looking through the various bins alongside you, which you just as easily could have done yourself.

This a store has an incredibly vast selection! I don't even know where to start this place goes so deep. This may be the best local hardware store I've ever been to, which is saying something since I'm a contractor that has worked all over the United States. What makes this play special is that they have a lot of specialty hardware as well as interesting and fun items.

Prices are a little high, but convenience and location make it worth while. Couldn't find the right size metric screw. Had to get some special metric screws today and they had them! Metric nuts had a high price tag.

This place has been my lifesaver ever since I moved into my new condo. They always have what I need, and they establish super friendly and helpful, especially when I need some help finding something or figuring out what is the best items for my projects. Their plant section is also phenomenal.

As far as I can tell, this place has at least one of everything. And I mean everything. They do have multiples of some of the more commonly needed hardware store things. But I feel like you can find stuff for 2-year-olds and 102-year-olds all in the same place.It's a wild experience winding up and down the little tiny aisles and checking out the mix of old and new stuff.To get lost in here for an hour or two before you even knew what was happening, lol.Definitely worth the stop by even if you don't need anything from the hardware store!

Terrible customer service. I brought back some Ace-Brand light bulbs (that they still sell) over 30 days after the date of purchase, and they would not give me a store credit. I was told it's "store policy," but it's not printed on the receipt. The manager said, "sorry Buddy," as if being called Buddy would make it all right.Coincidentally I had bought some other items from Ace two days ago. I promptly went home, retrieved them, and returned them all to the store for a refund. I've been shopping at this Ace for years. Clearly that didn't matter to them. They just lost a customer.

Lovely little store, friendly, well stocked, comfortable. I found all the vegetable seeds I needed in *September* after searching for weeks for non-GMO, sustainably-sourced and heirloom seeds. The store can be a bit pricy, but well worth it in quality and availability.Be prepared to park on the street, so call ahead and ask if you need to buy something large that you'll need to load into your vehicle to discuss logistics.

Just awful. Staff are often rude and incompetent - a bad combination. I'd like to support a local community hardware store, but not this one. Yesterday I tried to buy some things using the ACE app and the cashier assistant acting manager would not help scan and then berated me saying he didn't know anything about it and it was my problem, not his. Also, it is not a serious hardware store - focused on decorative baubles and crystals. It is worth the extra time to go to Strosniders where at least the staff makes a good faith effort to help
