Today was my 1 year old boys first day of their dog daycare. I watched him on the camera about 75% of the day as a nervous dog mom. He was having a blast. I dropped him off at 6:30AM & picked him up at 4, it’s currently 5:15 and he is KNOCKED OUT cold. The staff is so very friendly and they all just adored him. Also found that out that one of the staff members has one of his litter mates which is so awesome to me. Purchased their package and booked his stay for when we go on vacation. Thank you!!!! Kane loves this place!

We left our 8 month old puppy, Tucker, at the Kent island location while going on a cruise. This was our 1st time being away from him, so we were super nervous. The staff took incredible care of him, sent updates and photos, and reassured us consistently. Tucker had a blast and we will definitely be bringing him back!

Absolutely worth the drive from Easton to Kent Island for daycare! I love knowing that my puppy is having the time of her life with a great group of dogs and attentive people who work hard to keep her safe and engaged. The bonus is a very tired and happy pup that will sleep through the night. Highly recommend!

It was worth the cost. I don't think my German Shepherds have ever been so seen at a facility in the Northeast. My dogs were happy and quickly settled in. Loved the daily updates about them, the pictures, and their report cards. Made me feel less guilty for not taking them on vacation with us.

Very disappointed with my experience at the Kent island location for doggy daycare. I took my yellow lab for his first time ever being at a daycare here and within 2 hours he was taken out of the play yard and placed by himself in a room because “he was too excited” even though I was assured he was not aggressive and just high energy. To me, it seems as though my dog was not given a fair chance nor were the staff patient or understanding enough that this was a new and exciting experience for my dog and of course would act as such. Upon pick up I was given no further information about my dog or any other details. I did however think the facility itself was nice and clean but still very disappointed in the staff’s response to my dogs first time at daycare.

Best of Best. Thanks so much for everything you all do. Best grooming too. This is our 3rd German Shepherd to stay with Davidsonville and Kent Island over 20 years. Doc our German Shepherd now has great time with the pack at playtime and loves his suite so he can watch TV. Web cam great to watch and see how Doc interacts with other dogs since sometimes his does not. Thanks for opening up Dogwood Acres on the Island. Best of the Best

The staff here has always been positive, patient, professional and helpful. Most importantly, our dogs act excited when they arrive for boarding. That gives us confidence in knowing they are in good hands, well cared for and happy, allowing us to actually relax on our trips. Our dogs are extremely special and important members of our family. We trust Dogwood Acres, both locations, or we would not have boarded our fur babies on several occasions, nor have future reservations as well.

I have been sending my dog here for years. Always a wonderful experience with DAPR and I know my dog is not the easiest to care for. Great upgrades for baths, nail trims, amd activities. Only downside is that they get booked up quickly during the holiday season, so have a back up ready!

They are fantastic! Jess an Jesse helped me with early check out and went the extra mile. Josh the dog handler gave me valuable insight on my dogs behaviors and offered suggestions to improve their boarding experience with hand picked activities. Everyone was so nice and friendly; really helped me out and ensured my dogs were in good hands. Peace of mind. Make sure you ask about hours and pickup times. Highly recommend.

I could not be happier with Dogwood Acres. We have been taking our dogs there for a few years now to board when we travel and the dogs have a great time. It's nice to know they are being well looked after, they get playtimes, a lot of staff interaction, baths before they come home - it's wonderful. They also have a great service you can add should they need unexpected veterinary care while you're away which was great for our dog prone to skin and ear flare ups. The staff is amazing, friendly and professional.

I absolutely love both the Stevenville and Davisonville Dogwood Acres sites. They took time to get to know my dog while getting him comfortable with them. His 4 day stay came with good behavioral reviews. I'll definitely keep on using them.

We have boarded our dogs for years at the Davidsonville location. This was our first time using the brand new Kent Island facility. We had the same excellent service and some of the staff knew our current dog from Davidsonville. When we picked up our dog after a week, he was in good spirits and had received great care. The new location is an easy on-off when heading to the beach on Hwy 50. We definitely will board here again.

We have been bringing our 7 month old puppy to daycare at the Kent Island location for a few months now and we could not be happier! All of the staff know her by name, we can watch her having a blast on the webcam all day, and I’ve really never seen her more excited than when we pull up out front to drop her off in the morning. The facilities are immaculate and you can just tell that so much care goes into the entire experience. We recently moved over the bridge, but continue taking her back to this location because it’s just unmatched. Highly recommend!

This was our first visit for our dogs to Dogwood Acres Kent Island location after high recommendations from friends. We went for a visit prior to the stay, and everything seemed great, and the people were very friendly. They stated that it was their policy to give all dogs over a certain number of days stay a bath prior to pickup, and that we would get a report card for the stay so we knew how they did. The cameras in the play areas, and the ability to text the staff at any time for updates kept us feeling connected to our pups while we were gone.When we dropped them off on Saturday 6/19 everything went great. We discussed their individual needs and they took them back to their “luxury suite”. One of our dogs is a younger puppy, who was placed in the “yellow” group because she hadn’t been there before, and we were told she could be moved up to the “green” group if she did well. The other is older, and a bit grumpy, and not the play with other dogs type, so we ask them not to send him out for group play, just to provide individual attention. On Sunday we saw our puppy out in the yard getting to know the other dogs. She seemed to be doing well from what we could see. Unfortunately, that was the last time we saw her outside playing until we picked her up on Thursday. While it’s possible that we just missed her on the cameras, my wife was very diligent (obsessive) about watching for her, so we question whether she was getting the play times we expected.When I stopped by that Thursday afternoon to pick them up, I settled up the bill and they brought the dogs out. The staff was very friendly, but did not have a report card for the dogs, and both dogs smelled like they hadn’t been bathed as expected. I requested the report card, but in the commotion of handling my 2 excited dogs, was unable to get that. I also didn’t mention the bath because it was hectic, and I didn’t want to make accusations when I wasn’t certain. Once I got home with the dogs I was sure they they indeed had not been bathed. They also jumped out of my truck and both of them immediately peed for a long enough time that I knew it had been quite a long time since their last chance to go out, which didn’t thrill me. Knowing my dogs, my guess is it had been probably about 7 hours, which seems excessive for the middle of the day. My wife contacted them about the bath, and the report card via text and was told they didn’t not get bathed, but didn’t get any more help on the report card. They also were unable to provide us any information on what color group our puppy was in, which was frustrating, as that is another indicator of how well she handed the stay. We aren’t clear on whether the bath would have been an additional charge, or whether it was part of the packaged that we paid for, but didn’t get. Ultimately, the dogs were happy and came back fine, but it wasn’t the WOW experience we had hoped for. We will give them another shot, but our high hopes left us disappointed.

Our dog has been going to Dogwood Acres for 8 years, and we’re so excited they’ve added this second location just over the Bay Bridge! Now we have 2 great retreat options for our kid, both so conveniently located to us in Annapolis! Our pup stays in the Luxury Suite when she boards and we’re so glad that this location offers even more of them!! I’ve taken a tour of this new facility and it’s absolutely amazing!! Thank you Dogwood Acres for offering such great care of our kid while we’re away!! It is true peace of mind knowing she is safe, comfy, loved and cared for when we’re out of town!!!!

My boy Czar has been visiting Dogwood Acres in the Davidsonville location for years. That was 5 stars. He absolutely loved it and would get so excited as we drove up to the building! I just visited the new Kent Island location and it's beyond 5 stars. Czar passed away 2 years ago and I may need to get another guy just to experience this new location. Looks like a 5 star hotel!

My girl Penny and I cannot recommend Dogwood Acres enough! Penny is a more active dog than I've had previously, and as much as I exercise her, it's never enough to calm her crazy self. Taking her to Dogwood acres for daycare has been an absolute life-saver - she comes home happy and tuckered out. I know she loves it there, because she starts doing circles in the back seat when I pull up and then just about flies out of the car. The facility is spotless, and the yard is big enough to allow the dogs to run and wrestle to their heart's content (but not so big the staff can't keep an eye on them - whenever I tune in to the webcam there's always someone nearby monitoring them.) The staff is awesome - they really seem to enjoy hanging around with the pups. They always greet Penny by name when we show up in the morning, and I've seen staff members giving her neck scritchies a couple times when I was watching over the webcam. I am SO glad they opened up such an awesome daycare here on the island!

We took our two dogs there for Doggie Daycare and they had a blast! The attendants spend time with the dogs and make sure even our shy little girl was having fun. Their team is responsive to texts checking in on pets. We are excited to have a boarding and daycare center so close!

We love Dogwood Acres and have sent our dog here for both overnight stays and for daycare. The cameras are great and our dog comes home tired (which is great!).The reason for my 3/5 star review is that reaching the reservation line via phone is nearly impossible. There have been 3 separate instances where we have tried to book overnight stays for our dog and we have been unable to reach a human for DAYS to book his stay. That’s 3 separate instances occurring prior to 3 separate stays. We call the phone number, press 1 to be transferred to the reservation line, and out of maybeee 25 times that we have called (total), the phone has only been picked up ONE time. When we try to call the front desk, we have been repeatedly forwarded back to the reservation line without the chance to explain our issues, only to have the reservation line go to voicemail once again. We leave voicemails but it has taken up to 4 days to hear back from the staff at dogwood.I write this feedback not only to express my frustration with the booking process, but hopefully to inspire some sort of change to this method of booking, or at the very least make others aware that this is happening. We really enjoy sending our dog here, but the fact that this keeps happening is definitely frustrating!

I used the Davidsonville location for years and was so happy when they opened the Kent island location. It’s a beautiful new facility and same great quality of care that the Davidsonville location has! I take my dogs to daycare and would board them here over any other facility.

Have used twice so far for my dog. He made a fast friend with another dog his first day, and they've played together quite a bit. Their dog supervisor called midday the first day to let me know how my dog was doing and it was really nice checking in on him via webcam.
