Very pleased with the care, concern and customer service given to my cat during recent office visit. From the front desk to the techs to the vets, they are welcoming, patient and thorough. They called to see how she was feeling after her vaccine and then called promptly with lab results. We saw Dr. Blankenship and she is personable, soft-spoken, knowledgeable, and very kind. Highly recommend this practice!

They went over and beyond for us when we had to have our fella CoCo cremated. They were so amazing and made our first time doing so such an easy process. And u can tell that they genuinely care for us and our beloved pets. I highly recommend if you ever have to do such a thing or even just taking ur loved ones im for a routine check up. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my pets health and wellbeing other than them. Thank u guys from the bottom of our hearts.

Providing care for sick animals is not given at every veterinary office Solomon’s Vet medical hospital is absolutely the BEST place to take your pet. After going to All Kinds Veterinary wasting over 1000.00 dollars they never made a treatment plan for Oakley the rescue puppy. We new she had ear issues and All Kinds gave her a clean bill of healthSolomon’s Veterinary took us in for an appt and now Oakley has responded with numerous positive signs This is from the treatment plan created customized for Oakley We are so grateful for Solomon’s vet service It’s the real deal Don’t get taken

Honestly one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a vet. I look pretty young for my age so they mistaked me for a kid and didn't help me at all and were rude and not very informational while I was there, seemed like they just wanted my money and wanted me gone fast, and what they did recommend didn't even help my dog.I went again about a month later and the receptionist was super nice and helpful but not enough to make me stay there. Luckily I found a new vet who treats me and my pets right now.

Our 11 year old ragdoll cat suddenly began to develop UTIs, and between our home vet, one emergency one very late one night, and Solomon's, it's Solomon's we now call home. Throughout our emergencies, recurring episodes, and follow up visits, Solomon's has absolutely exceeded my expectations. Their staff are wonderful, from the pleasant, kind, attentive front desk associates, to the professional, well-trained, gentle vet techs, and through to the knowledgeable, understanding veterinarians themselves. We received multiple follow ups after each emergency to check on our cat and make sure she was alright, and that the medication was going as intended. Then in follow up, we truly appreciated the thoroughness of the tests and the recommended food has been successful with her now as well. We really appreciate them, all they have done, and are happy to report her symptoms have not returned steadily for 2 weeks now, and she is back to normal playtime and sassiness! Highly recommend them for your pet needs if you're in the Solomon's Island/Patuxent River area.

Solomons is the most amazing vet. We unfortunately had to face the realization that the end was here for our senior cat. We called on Sunday and told them we believe we need to put her down and they got us in that same day. When we arrived, the front staff was very kind and sympathetic to our situation. The Vet, Dr. Holmes was very understanding, kind and sympathetic about the situation and did confirm we needed to put her down. The techs and the vet were so kind and patient with us as we privately said our goodbyes to our beloved cat. They didn’t rush us or make us feel like we had to get it over with and leave since they were closed at this point. They let us take as much time as we needed to say goodbye and told us to let them know when we were ready to perform the procedure. They did the procedure in the room with us and walked us through every step. The vet was gentle with our cat and made sure she was comfortable and no longer suffering.After she passed, they went over the options of taking care of her remains. They let us take our time to gather ourselves and grieve before they took her back to be wrapped up. They took great care of our sweet girl and they gave us a complimentary paw print mold and a sweet poem keepsake.Although the situation was awful, the entire staff was so comforting and helpful and made sure we had the best care possible. It meant alot to not feel rushed or pushed out and that they gave us as much time as we needed to grieve and be with our sweet girl in her final moments and after.We will miss our sweet Sabrina forever but are forever grateful to you for allowing us the experience and memory of a comforting, caring and gentle goodbye.Thank you Solomons Vet! We will be customers for life

I have five cats and will never take them anywhere else. Solomons is hands down the best vet in town. From surgeries to treating constipation, they've provided nothing less than amazing care. My boy Kogyo has become a staff favorite and we're greeted warmly every time we go in. Absolutely worth the price.

My dog Sailor was playing outside late on Friday afternoon and ripped his dewclaw. I called our regular vet, Three Notch, and was told once again, for the hundredth time, that they did not have any space even though there was blood all over my kitchen and Sailor was in pain. They suggested I call the veterinarian at Solomons and I thought that it was an emergency vet option. It turns out they are just a regular veterinarian clinic and they were wonderful!! They fit Sailor in right away. Everybody was incredibly nice and I will now be moving from Three Notch to Solomons Veterinary Hospital. Thank you Dr. Wagner!! You team and you are wonderful!!!!

Our old man was stumbling, his eyes were twitching and they fit us in pretty quickly in case it was serious. They took their time helping get him into the office (80 lbs!) and gave him an initial diagnosis of geriatric vertigo (that's my simplified name). Some nausea meds and a few days later and he's walking around fairly well on flat surfaces. We're new to the area and have found his full time vet!

We had a sick kitten on a Sunday and they had us bring him in right away. The kitten was treated with care and a lot of love! He had some issues with the same problem on Wednesday and again they saw him right away and took the time to explain everything and also took the time to try and figure out what breed he might be. Excellent care with both drs and visits.

Today we had to say goodbye to our 14 year old pup. I can’t say enough good things about this place and everyone in it. They made the experience as special and intimate as they possibly could. They were so sweet and gentle to my old boy. I’m so glad we chose to use them for his end of life care. They really truly went above and beyond. My family can’t thank you all enough.

Called as soon as they opened when I noticed some early signs of GI stasis in my bunny. They were able to fit her in for an emergency appointment less than an hour later. The entire care team was wonderful. Thanks to you guys she is back to happily and healthily running around and causing havoc once again.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Called them on a Sunday because my cat was urinating blood and they fit me in the very next day. I ended up taking him to the emergency vet because I was concerned, but even when I called back to cancel they were very nice and even asked how he was doing. Thank you so much for all of your help!

For my first visit to Solomons Veterinary Center i was completely pleased and grateful! All emergency vets are over an hour from here. To get into a regular local Vets for a well visit takes weeks and usually a couple months. If you call a local one bcuz your pet has an urgent issue or an emergency they just tell you sorry we're booked out til next month or the month after, we suggest you go to one of the emergency vets (that are all no less than and hour and 15 minutes away from here). What if your pets emergency is life threatening? That long of a drive could likely find them passing away on that long drive. My cat didn't have a life threatening issue but one where if I had to wait even a week for him to be seen, he could've been in major distress by then. But since he was stable for the moment and could wait a couple days they were willing to make some adjustments to their schedule and got him on it for 4 days later. The next day they called and said they had a cancelation for the next day if I wanted to come in earlier. When I got there were dealing with a phone and internet outage and had a couple of people ahead of me but i still only had to wait 10 maybe 15 minutes to be called back. The Dr and staff were very nice and caring and understanding.Later that SAME day my other cat had severly over exerted herself while we were playing and began having trouble breathing, breathing very rapidly (60 breaths a minute when normal is like 25 or 30 per minute) with panting and open mouth breathing. This is never good for cats. This had never happened before and i was scared to death! She's only 15 months old. They told me to email a video for the dr to see so they could decide if it was something they could handle or not so I wouldn't make an unnecessary trip to them if she really needed to head to an emergency or specialist vet. I thought that was smart, time saving, (especially for my cat) and it would have also saved me 2 office visit charges if they had me bring her in and then decided that she needed to go to an emergency vet. Altho I know they were already booked the rest of the day, they still told me i could bring her in at 4pm. Now a days it seems impossible to get that kind of help anywhere anymore. And even when it's a dire situation, a true emergency, most Veterinary offices don't seem to want to make the effort to help if it's anything beyond a normal well visit anymore but Solomons Veterinary seems willing to at least TRY to do whatever they're able to do to help. To me, that makes all the difference in the world! They may be 10 minutes further away from me than my current vet, but its worth it to me to go a little farther to know they're willing to do whatever was in their power to do, to help my furbabies.Bcuz my current vet wasn't even willing to try to get my cats in during their urgent situations. Not even my cat who was having serious trouble breathing! And this wasnt the first time no other local vet woild help me in urgent situations. Unfortunately back then, i didnt know Solomons vet existed bcuz id just moved to the area. But Solomons Veterinary did everything they could to try to help my furbabies in these current situations.I'm sorry this is so long but I felt it was necessary to explain the difference between Solomons Veterinary and pretty much every other local vet I tried to get help from. I know schedules fill up and I'm sure Solomons Veterinarys schedule is no different. The difference is that they're willing to go the extra step rather than just automatically tell you to try an emergency vet. It never used to be this way, but in the last couple years no one seems to want to go out of their way anymore. Solomons at least made the effort and genuinely seemed concerned when my own Vet didn't seem to want to try to help. Or any other local vet for that matter. Thank you Solomons Veterinary!! I really appreciated your help, effort and concern for my babies that you'd never even seen before!! Their future well (or urgent) visits will be with you from now on.

If you’re searching for a perfect vet, look no further! I just adopted my first pup and became very overwhelmed when looking at all the different offices. I called and they were able to get me in right away, the front desk staff are so sweet and accommodating, they even called me when they had a cancellation to get me in sooner then my appointment! Everyone was accommodating and professional, the doctor was very patient and explained all my new dog mom questions very throughly. We even met a new pup friend in the waiting room, I highly recommend this office to all !

The front desk staff is rude and talks down to you at every apt or phone call. The vet and vet techs seem to be ok. They just always seem to be in a hurry every apt and aren't in the room long with you. The customer service is lacking at this establishment and they seem to have gotten in a habit of trying to squeeze in as many patients as possible in a day and rushing through them all instead of spending time with their patients and giving quality care to each and every one of them.

When I entered the center I was greeted with a smile and friendly face. As you know bringing a pet to a Veterinary Medical Center is always stressful for the owner and pet. Your staff made me feel very comfortable while waiting for the appointment as well as during the examination. It was helpful to have everything explained during the session and any questions answered no matter how dumb they may have been. Thank you! :)

Called first time and lady hung up IMMEDIATELY, without saying anything. Called again thinking it was an accident and she did answer this time. Asked if it was an emergency or if I could hold, which it is, and then didn't wait for my answer. Called back and was put immediately on hold without anyone saying anything. Called again, same story. Called back again and this time she answered and this time she said her animal was being put down and to "just give her a moment".... Listen, why are you at work if you can't do your job? Why are you asking if it's an emergency if you're going to treat everything as a non-emergency, regardless? If you're not going to actually answer your phone, get an answering machine. I feel for that person, I do, but also, you're a piece of work assuming no one else is suffering and treating people and their pets this way. Take the day off for godsakes.

UPDATE: My companion for years, Hoot, has passed away because of his insistence in being an outdoor also cat. I had to let Solomons Veterinary know because he had another appointment in December. They were so kind to me. I just received a card from them for my loss this evening. It was really appreciated.I would bring all my pets to Solomons, because they are so kind, friendly, and my pets seem well cared for there..,.,.,.Had to bring Hoot in for a visit, was able to make an appointment for the weekend, and got in. Front Desk was very cheerful and pleasant. I was able to quickly update my details and get checked in.There was a bit of a wait, but they were upfront about it. I soon got back and both techs were careful with Hoot and very informative. I then got to meet Dr. Holmes, and Hoot was diagnosed and treated with a steroid and antibiotic. He was able to get his rabies updated in the same visit! It was a good experience and Hoot was a trooper the entire time.
