Had a really good lunch here today. My family and I ordered a Hivemind pizza, the Goblin King pizza, some Pep Rolls and some Key Lime pie.The Hivemind was delicious. Just the right amount of heat mixed with the honey drizzle on a nicely baked crispy crust.I admit I was unsure about the Goblin King pizza. The kale had me raising an eyebrow, but it blended really well with the caramelized onions, ricotta and cheese. The lemon added to the mix really put it over the top. Again, great crust.The Pep Rolls (imagine a small pizza rolled up into a smaller two-bite appetizer) were really nice and tasted great.I was told that the Key Lime pie was creamy with a great crust and not too heavy on the citrus. I've had some where the lime taste makes it feel like your face is turning inside out, but this was made with care.The service was friendly, and the picnic table we sat at out front was incredibly clean.We've already picked out what pizzas we'll try next time. I look forward to going back.Sorry about the lack of pictures. The food went quickly. :)

The whole experience was perfect. We went at lunch time. Customer service was great, our server was very friendly, responsive, and patient while we looked over the menu. Our order did not take long at all. We ordered the Goblin King and it was fantastic. Rich flavor and great crust. The key lime pie was also awesome. Will absolutely recommend to friends! Great job guys!

Quickly becoming obsessed with this place. Tried them for the first time a week ago, went back today, already planning a third visit. Easily the best (only?) neapolitan-style pizza in the area, cooked hot and quickly in a real pizza oven - the black spots are how you know it's good. 12", six slices of crispy, thin crusted goodness I find best enjoyed about 3 minutes after it's done at the picnic tables outside (there's indoor seating as well for those who prefer). Toppings on the menu items are well-considered, complementary and delicious (i've personally tried and will whole-heartedly recommend the Dungeon Dragon and Hivemind pies). Service is quick during the weekday lunchtime hours I've visited. Not the place to go if you're looking for a delivery-pizza-joint-with-a-coupon type value, but you get what you pay for and this pizza is worth every penny in my opinion. If I have one gripe it's that $3 for a can of soda is a bit much, but that isn't nearly enough to keep me away. Hope they're here for a long, long time.

Tonight was our third visit to Cryptic Pizza and we ordered our faves… Goblin King and Beast Hunter. It is obvious each pie is made with care, the ingredients are fresh, and the crust is amazing! This pie is not your standard fare and worth every cent! As an added bonus, the staff has always been friendly and the view from the patio is wonderful. Cryptic Pizza does not disappoint!

Pizza is way too expensive for what you receive in my opinion. We got the Goblin King for $17 and added pepperoni for $2. The added pepperoni looked very generic like it was bought from the $4 packs at the store and they only sprinkled 25 cents worth on the pizza since there was barely any. I’ve had better tasting pizzas for half the price. The patio area to eat is a nice idea and I enjoy the video game references for the pizza names though.

If you are looking for an authentic Neapolitan pizza, this is the place for you! I have tried 4 varieties of pizza from their menu and all have been 5 star. The crust has a slight spotting from the firing that makes the taste magnificent. All of the employees have been friendly and helpful.I think their pricing is reasonable. If you are looking for little Caesar’s prices, you won’t get it here but you also won’t get little Caesar’s quality. Cryptic does NOT give you pizza that tastes like it’s from the freezer. The ingredients are all fresh and of the highest quality with in-house made dough. You can 100% taste the difference in quality. I would highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.Vegetarian options: Vegan pizza is a fantastic menu option. The pesto pizza is a must!Dietary restrictions: I loved that all options are customizable.

Fantastic pizza, great patio, unacceptable service tonight. We have been to Cryptic multiple times and drive over the bridge for it. Tonight I was told by the man taking my order I could not get my regular pizza as I normally order it (adding sauce to a pizza that has none). When I asked if that was a new policy because I had ordered that way several times, he said “No, you can’t switch sauces on our pizzas.” Huh? Pizzas? Made to order? Honestly, I kind of struggled to find something else, but he just stood there and stared at me. I don’t normally review, but tonight I had to. Cryptic…your pizza is too good to lose business to situations like this but eventually you will!

The pizza is fantastic! In my opinion it’s the best pizza by far in the area. The ingredients you can tell are the highest of quality. The staff is very nice and the atmosphere couldn’t be better. The outdoor patio is covered by a large tree giving shade to the seating area which was a huge bonus given the current heat. There is also a very nice water view of the river. You will not be disappointed by coming here. We can’t wait to come back for more pizza in the near future.

So hoping for this place to be good, but unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. The service started out well with friendly and helpful attendants, but it took easily over 30 minutes to receive the pizza. Then when I opened the box (as my order was for take out) I couldn’t believe what I was received. The pizza was even smaller than expected; not round (which who cares), but when almost a quarter of your pizza seems to be missing that is mind boggling; and little to no cheese. I feel like I could hardly call what I received a pizza.

Cool little spot that used to be a breakfast place. The pizza is tasty! My only complaint is that I feel it’s a bit overpriced. Great spot for a nice lunch with your partner. If you split a pizza it’s worth it.

Just finished my pizza from here about 10 minutes ago. Phenominal. Got the Gandolf and appreciated the taste (both the flavor profile and wittiness) of the sage as a topping. The dough is what you pray for in a pizza, slightly spongy with plenty of snap. Can't beat the location or the view. My fiance proclaimed mid-bite that her slice was "saving her soul." I enjoyed the key lime pie too. If Keith Lee were to eat this, it would be 10 out of 10. I just know it.

So happy for this new restaurant opening!! So, first the very best to you all. Second….. get yourselves to cryptic pizza! It’s a new gem in Solomons. We ordered the Beast Hunter and Dungeon Dragon. Both were just delicious!! I was happy to see you are continuing the tradition as Lotus did in having Kim’s Keylime pies as well. She was a great lady. She’d be super happy her recipe is still be enjoyed. The staff today was sweet and welcoming. Your outdoor eating area is welcoming w a fun vibe. Looking forward to trying ALL your pizzas.
