I had THE best experience today with Martins Direct. First, they actually got everything right on my list. They were honest with me upfront and told me that they didn’t have any drivers to offer delivery. Which was fine, because since I knew right away, I made arrangements to pick up my order. They were professional, attentive to details, friendly, and extremely polite and helpful. They made my Saturday stress free! I’ll definitely use their service again!Excellent customer service! Thank you!

Yet again I purchased a french baguette today that I found out at dinner it was days old. Disgusting. You need to remove old product from your shelves. NOT GOOD…… this seems to be a systemic issue!

Very clean and well organized location. Nice produce section every time I visit 2x monthly for about a year now. Consistently pleasant shopping experience and rarely any long lines or wait time for checkout. I like this store. Plants available seasonlly.

Good food selection. Some items are a bit pricey compared to Food Lion. But the sales make a difference. It's close to home and Smithsburg is a small town.

Very well kept grocery store located off MD 64 (Jefferson Blvd) in the town of Smithsburg, just before the AC&T gas station. It has a nice "old time feel" to it. Prices are fair as prices for groceries go. Their cart return stations outside have the carts arranged from small to large, a nifty concept that I hope other stores will follow. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The staff are all very nice, friendly, and helpful. The store is typically well stocked (unless there is a panic buying frenzy) and they have a good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. My only complaint is that they are a bit pricey but you can take advantage of sales, coupons, and markdowns to help with price.

This Martin's grocery store is located in Smithsburg MD.It is clean and well stocked.It is not as huge as the Martins grocery stores in Hagerstown, which is why I put this one as my favorite.Easier parking, easy to shop the store.Easy in and easy out, a solid 10

EDIT 11/14/21.After speaking with the GM and a revisit by my husband - the store was completely clean- especially the produce isle.:) Management staff were smiling, friendly, and attentive.The cashiers are ALWAYS pleasant and helpful. As are the cart clerks. I feel assured that they are doing their best to provide us, quality food, decent customer service, and make folk feel welcome in this store.11/21This particular Martin’s has a whole isle of old bread. Not sure if it’s being sorted properly or stored properly but every time I buy bread it’s near the expiration date already and crummy. Meat looks very bad as well, particularly the steaks. The produce- corn and greens especially are near decomposition. Customer service from cashiers and cart clerks is top notch, but management staff are rude and very unprofessional, usually chatting up a storm, unwilling to help, stops cashier from ringing items to discuss personal issues, are reasons why I don’t shop here anymore.

Ever since Shop N Save closed and Martin's opened in their place, we have been so much happier with them! Prices are better and a way better selection. We were used to the Food Lion that was in Smithsburg for all those years, but Martin's definitely hasn't disappointed us! 😊

I recently shopped at the martins in smithsburg Maryland and I had the best experience that I have ever had in a grocery store everyone in that store was so helpful kind very informative they had knowledge guided me where I needed to go the aisles were clean the store was clean I have an injured knee and back and I ride the buggy and I could navigate the entire store with no problem check out was a cinch and I saved $50 and also I got a free ham voucher with my grocery purchases that I was going to be doing in the first place so I really really love that store and it's employees

It’s a shame because I really like Martins in general but had a very bad experience with an assistant manager who claimed to be the manager. I spoke to her in the store and she was completely and repulsively rude, I also called the store to compliment a store employee and wouldn’t you know it I got the same assistant manager, again very rude and could care less that the employee was being complimented, just utterly rude. Called and spoke to the GM about an issue and also on this matter, was promised He would call back on a specific date, it never happened, I eventually reached out to him only to hear the excuse “ I lost your number”, not very professional. In summary if you ask for a hand basket because you are in a wheelchair you are going to get a nasty reply from the assistant manager, other store employees will give you different answers including the store manager, and don’t call to compliment an employee apparently that is frowned upon keeping in mind that the store manager really does not care because he will not get back to you as promised. I would recommend going elsewhere such as Walmart in Hagerstown or Waynesboro, there is also Weis Markets, Lidl, and Save A Lot in Hagerstown. As I earlier stated I like Martins in general but when you are let down by the manager and are talked down to in an incredibly nasty manner by the assistant manager and you get an attitude from the same assistant manager while trying to compliment an employee it kinda turns you off on Martins. Obviously the assistant manager feels her behavior is acceptable and the only way she could feel that it is acceptable is that it must be tolerated by her manager, not to mention all the misinformation you receive from all the different employees and management regarding hand baskets is frustrating, to actually have a manager who says to you” I don’t know what the corporate policy is on hand baskets” is mind boggling, I thought to myself aren’t you the store manager?, such a shame. Again save yourself the burden of shopping at Martins, there are a multitude of stores close by that will appreciate and value your business and it will show in their customer service, knowledge and performance.

Masks go over the nose, people. Viruses don't care about your politics, and I should not have to worry about dying just to get food for my family. They're slightly better than the dollar store in town, for both mask-wearing and prices.

I I love you to martins food store but I dont like the selection at the smithsburg store they never have what i need. Their always missing a ton of stuff that I buy at the other store. When it used to be food lion it was the same exact way but maybe its because the store is smaller than the other ones

An excellent place to shop during the pandemic. Customers and employees alike wear masks over their noses, and employees carefully wipe down the carts. You will feel safe at Martin's.

If you dont want business at this location i will go elsewhere if your cashiers dont want to talk so be it. But they should not act like you have a disease. He didnt acknowledge or say anything he just rung up the stuff and didnt say the amount not even if i had a bonus card. But how he handed my change back to me was disrespectful. I will always miss this being a food lion, but I'm glad it is a Martin's now. For being a smaller location they still have a decent selection of items. The store is always neat and orderly and the employees are always kind and helpfull.

Take your business elsewhere. Do not buy any meat, poultry or seafood here, even previously frozen from outside vendors. It's all very low quality and I've gotten sick more than once. Likewise with any produce. You're greeted by the smell of rotten melons at the front door and won't see much better inside. Moldy items in dairy section and all throughout the store. It's run buy a store manger that couldn't care less about anything that goes on his store, as long as he gets his undeserved salary. The rest of the employees, save only a couple, including myself are complete morons, also with the 'I don't care' mentality. Please go to other Martin's locations.

I love Martin's! I do wish there was more of selection at this store like the one in Hagerstown but it is a smaller store. But friendly staff and great prices make up for it!
