I’m only giving one star when they really deserve zero. But management was very nice.But I took my dog for a grooming to this location due to the one near me being booked. His appointment was 9:30am. They had my dog until 12pm. Toye Wright, groomed my dog and had him looking crazy. I have had my dog for 8 years and NEVER has he been stressed, he was drooling excessively, nails were NOT cut, private area was NOT cut, legs weren’t trimmed and he had a mane that was NOT asked for. I told them to cut him down to a #5 which is a little longer than the #7 I usually do. I paid extra money for the new “luxury” service and have NOTHING to show for it, no pumpkin shampoo and no bandana.Management did refund my money, which I am really happy about, so my issue is not with them. What makes things worse, I had tipped Toye prior to me seeing my dog since they were very busy and I just wanted to get my dog and go. I requested my money back and Toye declined it. I only noticed how bad his cut was when I walked out. But since Toye said my dog was stressed the whole time and drooling, I didn’t want to take him back inside. I will be talking to corporate about my experience.I had to take my dog to the Petsmart in Laurel, so that they can better assist my dog! Even the worker at that location was confused on Toye’s “work”. I will NEVER go back to the Petsmart in Silver Spring and I will make sure EVERY one knows not to have Toye Wright touch or even look at their pet!

The store is big and clean. There are a variety of dog and cat food and treats. They have a pet hospital, grooming, and adoption department. The staff is friendly. I also like when they have a lot of sale and promotions on dog food, treats and toys.

I am incredibly frustrated with the app software to book an appointment. I always book with the same groomer, Brandon. The listing of groomers on the team shows that he is still working there but didn’t have any availability for the next few weeks. So I booked my appointment with another groomer, assuming that he has taken some time off. When I arrived for my appointment today, my favorite groomer Brandon was there. I mentioned to him about my last booking experience and he said that it has been an ongoing issue.Petsmart, please fix this glitch! Brandon and everyone on the team are incredible, and should each have an equal opportunity to be selected.Please fix this glitch!!!

PetSmart employees are knowledgeable and super friendly. The even let my daughter and I hold several reptiles and gave us printed information on them. The store is clean and they have every product you can think of.

The sales specialists were helpful in finding the item we needed in the store, however they only have forklift staff on duty in the mornings so unfortunately we weren’t able to purchase the main thing we came there for. Instead we got a few reptile tank decorations and mulch bedding.

I buy my kitty litter and several varieties of catfood at PetSmart. Most of the food is prescription kidney diet canned food for my 17 yr old cat . I believe the kidney diet is helping my cat live longer and feel better. She certainly likes the taste of PetSmart food.My favorite thing about the store is petting customers' dogs, big and small. And I love seeing the groomers, and the cute expressions on the dogs' faces when they're being groomed.

Nice staff, but they need more cashiers and Alena is amazing. My fur baby loves her. She is gentle and is the only one that can trim my fur babys nails..we love her.

Always love this store to purchase items for my fish! Pretty clean and the staff is always nice. I do wish they had more animals for the kids to see. This is the best mini zoo for young ones.😄 I ordered fish food, plants, and fish supplies.

the worker justin was really helpful and answered all our questions, ik alot of people don't support the buying of reptiles in store and I was one of them till I saw that little cutie that I decided to name Pascal plus justin knew exactly what he was talking about, obviously I did alot of research and he got everything spot on. he even knew what I meant by "fat tail" because my sister actually didn't and my gecko has all his/her toes (still don't know the gender). he also helped my sister get two birds as well the correct size cage for them

For the grooming salon:Will never, ever return. Staff were untrained, every dog in there was anxious, multiple dogs appeared to be bleeding - including ours. We have reported this salon and would highly suggest others to find a reputable groomer in the area instead.

There are times when I don't understand those who are in charge of operating these stores. Inside, you can walk very well. You do many things, but when it comes to paying, it's a problem. They only have one cashier instead of having more cashiers so that people can enter and leave quickly, that is, it's a problem Lore to pay and they don't care they don't do anything

Took my Chorkie Pup Spice here for a groomers appointment and the experience was great. HOWEVER, I took my Yorkie Poo pup here for his first groomers appointment Dec. 2022 and I left feeling displeased. Linda did a lot of complaining about my pup thats just 3 months old. One of his back legs was shaved very low while the rest of his legs were pretty fluffy. Hopefully, we will have a better experience next time with a different groomer.

I love this PetSmart location. I went there to buy fish for the first time and the employees that helped out were super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I think one of the employee names was Cynthia and during my second visit today, I do not know the name but she was super helpful and patient too (felt bad because I made a long line of customers after me!) - major Kudos to them and their Managers!One tip: if you are buying fish for the first time, they recommend setting up the fish tank with the correct water for at least 24 hrs before buying the fish.

Everyone is amazing !!!! Very courteous, friendly and pleasant !!!! There’s someone always available to help with questions you might have and they’re quite knowledgeable. I love this Petsmart. They are always stocked and can give you an idea of when things will possibly arrive if they’ve sold out. Very nice Petsmart to shop at. If lines start getting long staff will come to the rescue and get you rung up. Awsome people !!!!

Was walking around the strip center and saw the Pet Smart. I love animals and went in to look around. In one area I saw that they had several kittens in a display aquarium. As I was looking at them, one of the employees came over to feed them. I have been thinking about getting a cat. Over the course of 50 years I've had a few. I am especially fond of orange tabbies, and that' what they had. I thought, maybe this is fate that I'm here in this store at this moment, standing next to several of exactly what I was wanting. I turned to the employee and expressed my thoughts. He smiled and said, come on back on Sunday, but best to get here early because sometimes we draw a big crowd. I smiled wistfully, said "thanks" and walked to the door.

They have friendly staff that are easy to talk to. They provided me with the best assistance and advice. Rest room clean and neat stocked with toilet paper (a must), hand soap and paper towels. I left there with a good product, more knowledgeable, clean hands and bottom. Lol

I’ve been going once a week on Saturday mornings for basic puppy training with my six month old pup. The staff are mostly pretty friendly but some of them are just so-so. The store has pretty large selection but not the best of everything so I still buy a lot of my dog supplies on chewy (other places online in bulk are also cheaper). I like the dog trainer, Sally, and I think the lessons have been helpful. They are only $119 per six week sessions so one of the most affordable I found.

I went to the Greenbelt store first and the service was HORRIBLE!!! It was supposed to be adoption week but no on would come back to help me and my kids with the adoption process. After being told that someone would be back to help and waiting 30 minutes we left. We went to the Silver Spring store and the service was WONDERFUL!!! We received pleasant and knowledgeable help and only had to wait a couple of minutes. We ended up adopting a sweet Calico and all is well! Silver Spring has the best store!

When I arrived the doors opened, I never thought that the store was closed .... I made my purchases there was only one staff in the aisles and the cash register, when I finished choosing the Beta fish; that by the way I only lasted 20 hours alive, I informed the lady that I was ready to pay; she just looks at me and says nothing; I go back to the refistradora box and then I realize that I had forgotten the card in the car; I say return now leave my card in the car, once again he does not answer me anything; I did not last a minute in the car .... when I return there nobody started looking for her throughout the store and she is not there; Well, I decide to stay at the register for about three minutes and it doesn't appear; I begin to say good morning and someone very rude appears you do not tell anyone here because it is closed, I just answered I want to pay the beta. I left and I left; She came after me and closed the door.

I feel like PetSmart is becoming less about the pets and more about money. The only reason I go there is because it's the only place I can find my cats food, unless I order off of Chewey which honestly at this rate may be the better option. The employees just never seem happy and God forbid you ask them a question.** Update 2/19/22 : the staff was friendly and helpful today. Still no one available to help in the adoption center. I can tell they're trying to improve they quality of the experience at this location **

When I walked in with no mask they immediately gave me a mask helped me return my fish and ensured me that my glo fish tiger barb was going to be quartined and to get better soon. The fish area really had their stuff down. The management was very accommodating from the start she gave me a mask like I said and even helped at the checkout line. Wonderful service 10/10!
