What a wonderful place. The staff is super hospitable. I was greeted by "Ms." Who prombly pointed me to the deli when she learned I was hungry. There I was greeted by one of the owners, a superb conversationalist, who gave me a brief history of this historical location. 1924 circa. He also gave me directions to a prefect spot to have lunch on the bay. Thank you so much "Shady Side staff/owners". The roast beef sandwhich was so good. The homemade coldslaw & the potatoe salad was also very delishous. I also brought A ribeye steak to cook for dinner. The price was very reasonable. If you are ever in this neck of the wood, you must stop. I certainly will be back~

I grew up on Atwell Rd used to come here with my great grandmother my mother we grew up around the store the coleslaw and the customer service was awesome we were there 4weeks ago and it’s still the same just like family If you’re ever in Shady side stop by Shady side market get some of those freshly made sandwiches they are off the hook also

I stopped in with a friend to try a sub. I’m happy to say I was highly impressed with the Italian cold cut they make and the price. Will definitely be coming back!

This is the ultimate neighborhood market with friendly service, a wide variety of food and liquor items, and competitive pricing. If they don't have an item you are looking for, tell the owner and he will likely order it for you. We love a certain type of wine that he didn't initially carry, and the owner now keeps a nice supply on the shelf. They also make excellent sub sandwiches and always gave a nice selection of salads and chips. Great place to pick up that one item you need, or do a more extensive shopping. This is a throw back to the days when mom and pop delicatessens could be found everywhere. I highly recommend Shady Side Market!

Love all their deli foods and has a nice selection of wine. Makes a great cream of crab and only $5 a pint. They cook crabs and the price is reasonable. I love getting my hair cut in their shop attached to the store. All family run.

Nice store (convenient if out on the peninsula). Friendly family owned and run. Occasional odors from the kitchen in the back that are less than appealing. However, that is the exception and not common.

It's a little neighborhood market with great chili, coleslaw, pickled beets, sandwiches and more. It carries a little of everything. It's light and clean with friendly, helpful employees

I'm a resident it the area and the best part is that they sell a decent selection of booze. Especially the beer. Plus they have everything else non alcohol. The sales the have are pretty good as well

Shady Side Market is a great place. Everyone there is so helpful and friendly and the market has an amazing inventory for being a small place. I have found things there that I previously unsucessfully looked for at two other major supermarkets.

It's a small locally run spot with a few grocery items. It good if you don't want to drive an additional 10 minutes to the local grocery store.
