The groomers are so good with our dogs. We took Spooky in for her first puppy cut and she came out looking great and feeling great. No fear or anxiety with the experience at all. We are looking forward to her next "spa day".❤️❤️❤️

What can i say about this place?! They are awesome! Super friendly, very professional and knowledgeable, and they love animals! A small shop with a big personality - located in Severna Park. Definitely a hidden gem!! I have 3 dogs (2 mini Aussies and 1 Sheltie) and i had brought them to a different place previously that cost me an arm and a leg along with the dogs having to stay there all day and it seemed traumatic to them. I was not super familiar with dealing with groomers before, however, Mutt & Joe changed all that for both me and my pups! They are always patient with me and all my questions, explain everything thoroughly, and never seem to rush me out. All of my dogs have very different personalities - 1 is super friendly and whines a ton asking for attention and hugs but is not fond of the dryer, the other is extremely quiet but cooperative, and the last one is very nervous around loud noises and people (she was not socialized before i got her). Mutt & Joe does not treat all my dogs exactly the same, which I’m thankful for but the common factor is they show them lots of love while taking time to understand the dog’s specific needs. I have my dogs cut tobreed so in my case they are not cut in the same way since i have two different breeds (one of my dogs even has curly hair!). My pups always look and smell AMAZING. Our recent visit they even had the cutest bandannas on at pickup! Mutt & Joe keeps great records of what they did at your previous appointments so you can literally say “the same as last time” even if it has been weeks. I always know what to expect. I drop them off and have enough time to go grocery shopping across the street or run other errands then come back usually 1.5-2hours for my dogs depending on if I scheduled two dogs together. At pickup they always fill me in on how things went no matter how often I’ve been there. I look forward to hearing how things went especially since this is all new for my dogs. Great way my dogs are being able to socialize with people other than me. Win-win all around! Highly Recommend Mutt & Joe!

We love Mutt & Joe! Our Australian Shepherd always comes out totally refreshed and squeaky clean! They do a wonderful job with his nails, paw pad fur, and hygiene trim. He used to hate being groomed but Mutt & Joe has made the experience so much better and easier for him. We appreciate their professionalism and how simple it is to make an appointment. They were able to squeeze him in before the holidays all of our family members kept saying how great he looked!

I’m honestly disappointed I have been taking my dog here religiously for the last 10 years pretty much since they’ve opened .upon bringing her in for an appointment today (and she was just there a month or so ago ) they told me I needed all her vaccines updated. I had her rabies done yesterday for this appointment but apparently they not only require rabies, but also distemper and Bordetella, although the Bordetella is soft requirement. I have a 16-year-old dog who is comfortable with this place and has not had a distemper shot since 2019. So for 4 years she has been washed no problem but today they are turning me away. They’ll see her if I get a waiver but apparently I can’t sign a waiver stating if anything happens I won’t hold them responsible . SMH - new ownership BTW !Never going back ! I had really liked them but this is ridiculous for some soap and water

I LOVE these guys!!! They took my Charlie Girl and gave her the ultimate makeover! Everyone that works here is sweet as can be and they are by far my favorite groomers here in maryland. They stay booked so make sure you call in advance for your appointment, I promise you it's worth it! Plus they are affordable to boot!

I can not imagine Mutt & Joe not being in my life! Kaityln is an absolute godsend who is so incredibly skilled with my two Mini Schnauzer's. She is very gracious & kind and just so happens to be the most skilled groomer I've ever encountered. You can tell how much she loves animals and really takes the time to ensure the grooming experience is exactly what you want. She is very detail-oriented and even had a hair length chart the 1st time we met, which was very helpful. My girls are on the anxious side and she is so patient with them which I truly appreciate. It can be stressful finding a place you can fully trust to take good care of your pets. It feels really good to know that your fur kids are in such loving and capable hands. Thanks again for all that you do!

The first time I ever took my pup to an appointment here it was like too good to be true: the prices were fair, she was in and out in an hour, and she seemed much less anxious than at her usual groomer! however, I have to take a star because the second time around; I was unaware she had a different groomer that would take twice as long, and no one informed me at drop-off the timing would be different. I came back after an hour (like last time) and called the front desk, but no answer, so I left a message that I was outside. I called again a half hour later (a bit panicked), but still no answer. I looked inside the building and couldn’t see anyone at the front desk, and had to wait another half hour to catch someone coming outside for a different dog. I know things happen, but my dog is like my child, so I would appreciate better communication in the future. I even tried calling today to set up another appointment, but was sent to voicemail again :/ hopefully it’s just a busy week for them and someone will get back to me soon! we still love it here!

So happy that Mutt & Joe exists! We've taken our dog, Frankie, to get groomed a few times since moving to the area a couple of years ago and every single time has been an absolute pleasure. Andy, the owner, and the staff are always super friendly and very clearly amazing at what they do! Frankie is always excited to get dropped off and even more excited to show off her new 'do when she gets home.It can be so stressful to find a place that you trust with your pet and we are so thankful to have found that place in Mutt & Joe.

Ray is great, but the service level has gone down! We always felt welcome, but now we feel like a burden. Service is lacking and it shows in the lack of detail in grooming. Typical of a hometown business turning into a money hungry business!!!

I’ve taken my dog to this establishment twice and didn’t have any issues initially. However, last week I took him in for a wash and grooming. It’s now probably a good time to mention my malamute is an extremely happy go lucky dog, borderline goofy. My husband dropped him off to Vince and went to run errands while the dog is being taken care of. When they called that Poncho( my malamute) is ready, my husband went to pick him up and immediately noticed the dog looks matted, is still damp, and overall not in good condition. He brought Poncho home and I was beyond worried- I had never seen his skin so patchy- once I spread the hairs around- his actual skin was red… on top of it Poncho was just not being himself… he was just sad and apathetic, borderline lifeless. He was clearly traumatized by whatever happened to him while in this establishment.My husband was able to reschedule an appointment for the groomers to take a look at poncho and correct whatever they could. My husband was 10 minutes late for that appointment, and got turned away. EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD CARVED AN HOUR FOR THIS APPOINTMENT( so technically there were still about 50min left to perform the service).When I called, Ashley answered the phone and it became instantly clear that neither she, nor this establishment are capable or equipped to handle or provide adequate customer service.It’s apparent that the folks who work there are not well trained and cannot handle specific breeds. More importantly, I am absolutely convinced they have zero regard in handling the dogs they groom with care and borderline abuse them, if given the opportunity. Hence why they still do not allow pet owners in the shop, even though all COVID mandates have been lifted.I adore my dogs and their mental and physical health are extremely important to me. It goes without saying that I won’t be back in this establishment, however I highly encourage you to steer clear from it as well, as I firmly believe there’s a fair amount of animal cruelty/ abuse happening behind the scenes.Thank you for taking the time to read this review, I hope it was somewhat helpful.

This was my dog's first time at Mutt and Joe. I was so impressed with the owner and the staff. I asked if they would take pictures and they were happy to do it for me. Pete is an 11 year old that I adopted from the shelter so I wasn't sure how he would react. The pictures show how happy he was and the owner and groomers brought him out and told me how good he had been. Pete will definitely be back!

Great groomer with good coffee. It's a neat idea to combine a coffee shop with a dog groomer. The service I received was excellent. The staff really seemed to care about my dog and took excellent care of him, recognizing that my lab mix is a little timid. Services are a little pricey, but I will definitely be back.

Our first time here and they did an awesome job with our pup! Her fur has never looked better! They are no more expensive than going to pet smart, but the service is way better and they don't shove your dog in a kennel and ignore them. Overall, this is a fantastic place to go!

We have taken out dogs here for years, but last week our dog was denied a bath because he had hair matts on the back of one his legs. Very sad; as this use led to be our go-to washing/grooming destination for our Chesapeake Retriever and Tibetan Massive. Hopefully Andy, the.owner, can regain control of her employees and return the business to its former reputation of a place for all dogs, not just that for her employee’s schedule.

Mutt & Joe is THE BEST! I have been taking my Labs here for the last 5 years and they actually can't wait to get out of the car and run inside to see their groomers. Andy, Elissa and the rest of the staff absolutely LOVE dogs and it definitely shows in their work. And you get to drop them off and go right next door for their amazing coffee! If you are looking for a local groomer who will love your dog like their own, then you must try Mutt & Joe! And if you don't have a dog, stop by for a cup of coffee!

Charged me $160 for 1 HOUR for a dog under 74 lbs. 03/24/2023.ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY DOLLARS PER HOUR FOR DOG GROOMING. And then asked if I wanted to add a tip.I dropped my dog off at 12:05 and I picker her up at 1:40. I have an app on my phone that tracks my travel.

Second time visiting this establishment. I had high hopes and really wanted to like this place. I really did. They were polite on the phone both times. Gave me a great appointment time. Texted me an appointment reminder. Those things were appreciated. The First time I had my dog in they did not do a good job. Areas were missed/not done that I specifically asked to be done. I contacted them next day and we made an appointment to correct the areas of concern. At that point I was happy about the way my dog looked. I decided to visit them again for the same dog (an older labradoodle) a few months later. I paid a good amount of money for a bath, nail clip and face, pads and behind trimmed up. My dog was barely bathed. She had crusty dandruff flakes (after being bathed) when I took a close look at her scalp. The inside of her ears were left dirty. Her face was not trimmed at all. I asked for a deep scrub (multiple times) when washing her. Yes, she was pretty dirty. That was simply not done. I am once again disappointed in the way my dog looks and I will not be back. I know after reading reviews that others have had positive experiences. I'm happy to hear but unfortunately my dog did not and both times they failed to meet my reasonable expectations..

I just took my miniature labradoodle to get groomed at Mutt & Joe's this morning. They treated him so well and had him in and out in 90 minutes! I also love his cut; they really listened to what I had requested in the beginning! Will definitely be returning.

I had a little trouble making an appointment because they don't have online appointments and I am unable to call during work hours, but when I did get an appointment, I was very impressed. They had my dog bathed, brushed, blow dried, nails trimmed, pads trimmed, and a sanitary cut done in exactly an hour as they said. The moment I opened the door, they had my dog walking out into the lobby because they recognized me even as a first time customer. They gave me a report on how she behaved. I was very impressed with their fast service. My dogs nails were also perfectly trimmed. Very impressed. The coffee shop is still serving drinks but is not currently serving food due to Covid, but the employee told us of plans to partner with a local bakery for baked goods in the near future.

Great pet grooming salon attached to a coffee shop! Wash your pet yourself with one of their self-service options at an elevated bathing station , or make an appointment and drop your pet to become sweet-smelling and pretty while you enjoy a cup of coffee next door! They provide everything needed, from the bathing station itself to shampoo and conditioner options, towels and commercial dryers. Our groomer was wonderful, friendly and patient with our newly-adopted rescue pup who was understandably a little nervous on his first visit. And our pup came out looking and smelling like the handsome boy we already knew he was. We will definitely be back!

Took my new dog here and was nervous because she is new to us (we adopted her) and I wasn’t sure how she would do getting a bath or nails trimmed. They were very good and calming with her. While Maddie got her bath, I had a cup of tea on the other side of the wall. It was wonderful! ❤️

This is the only place I will take my Doggos. The staff are just absolutely fantastic with my my anxiety ridden Malinois and my hyper Choc. Lab. The pricing is fair ( and better than the pet stores). The owner Andie is sweet and she will take the time to love you and your dog💜On the *Joe* side, local coffee is offered as are different sandwiches and light fares. All delicious and just as friendly.I recommend to everyone!

We have tried other grooming locations locally and find our dog gets overwhelmed. Mutt & Joe is great because there's not as many dogs at one time and way less barking than other places. Our pup is always happy to see his groomer and he comes home smelling clean and happy.
