This store has unique, nutritional foods, great variety of products, and helpful staff. My first time visiting, I needed recommendations for a high protein cat food for my muscle packed savanna cat, and food to help with bladder cancer for my bosses dog. The staff member gave me good advice and pointed me directly to what foods are good and what to stay away from for my bosses’ dog. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and so is the owner, Mark! He has great advice for foods as well. My hungry Savannah used to constantly eat throughout the day, so Mark suggested freeze dried cat food. It’s healthy and keeps them full longer. My cat loves it. The store is also very organized, clean, and roomy. They have neat pet toys as well, which I will attach a photo of my happy cat posing with a toy from there.

Great store for quality cat and dog food brands and treats, and other products. Generally helpful staff. Decent selection of toys, leashes, and other accessories.They do have betas and aquariums and supplies, but not really a fish store. They have a wall of empty aquariums that has been like that for several years. It gives the store a decrepit, neglected feel. It's time to repurpose that corner.

Horrible service. Employees had no knowledge on anything. I purchased a bird and was called back to tell me they weren’t allowed me to sell that particular one. When I went back Nobody that was working was actually allowed to sell the animals they had for sale after telling me if I came in I could purchase a different bird that was for sale. Out of the 7 cages of birds only 1 bird was actually for sale and then I was told I had to wait until Wednesday if I wanted to purchase anything. What’s the point in being an open pet store if you can’t sell the things in the store?? This store used to be great. Not sure what happened but they definitely need to retrain the people that work there or hire some new employees that actually have knowledge and want to do their jobs. To bad I can’t give 0 stars. Just know if you actually have hope of buying anything and keeping it don’t get it from here.

Rather expensive shop. Same toys 3 or 4 dollars cheaper other places.Birds are the main attraction here, you can't get close but do hear them!I was hoping to find more unique stuff.

customer service is terrible - they just do not seem to care. I went back this weekend because we were nearly out of food and with the Renaissance festival getting to Annapolis is difficult on weekends. A box of food at this store is $7.50 more than at our usual store. When I asked why I did not get an apology or even an "I am sorry," they just said they don't use the same distributor. I pressed to see if I would get any "I am sorry" but when I said it was a big difference I was pretty much ignored. We will be planning better so we can go to our usual pet store that seems to care and where employees seem happy and customers valued.

Great place to shop for any healthy pet needs. They always have furmented goats milk & the other stores that carry it always run out. We buy healthy very low fat treats there for our Golden Retriever who is diabeticw/pancreatitis & her lil buddy Moose.

My teenage son and I stopped at Rita's to have an ice cream. We waited until the ice cream was down to the cone, so we wouldn't be dripping it through the store. Thought we'd stop in and look around just to kill time and enjoy time together. As we walked in, we were met with "unfortunately there's no food and drinks allowed". I understand if a little kid was dripping all through the store, or an unsupervised kid trying to feed the animals, but a dog just walked in before us that could possibly pee and poop on your floor and they were worried about an adult and teenager with an almost fully eaten ice cream. The store was mostly empty, could've gotten a quick sale from us, guess they didn't need our money.I'm sure with Rita's right there, a lot of families, think, hey let's look around the pet store while we enjoy our ice cream together..it's actually a great opportunity for add on sales for them. Guess that could be a reason why their store wasn't too busy.Thanks anyways.

I found the Manager, Alex, to be extremely rude and unprofessional when I would took my dogs there for grooming. There are plenty of groomers in the area so why continue to be subjected to this? But this IS Severna Park!

Very professionally ran store, the lady I ran into was willing to do anything to help me out. Upset customers in person and over the phone didn't seem to bother her when the next customer came to check out. The store is very clean and organized, animals are well taken care of, selection of products is amazing, and they offer grooming, self serve dog washes, and boarding!!! Don't know why I ever went to bigger pet chains.

I fully thought I was going to have to leave a negative review. The woman at the counter was a Lil rude initially when I told her I wanted a bunny and I think she thought I was going to say no when she told me it was mandatory to buy a bunny kit which with the bunny totals to $250 so not cheap. Once she saw I wasn't intimidated by cost she warmed up a Lil. Upon bringing this bunny home..he or she is AMAZING! This bunny is fully litter box trained. Has not went in any of its bedding, has been playing with us, and will walk up to us and just plop down besides us. I can see now why they act so guarded about the bunnies because they are very well taken care of!!

The store is lovely, truly it is super clean, well stocked, fantastic options for foods and treats. However, the two women in the store welcomed us as we walked in but never left the registers. They continued to discuss something and never once asked if they could help us find anything. The sign on the door says kids have to be 14 or older to be in the store without a parent. Felt a little like we were an annoyance being in the store and chatting about what we wanted with the kids talking and goofing around. Weird experience, unfortunate because the store has a fantastic selection. Don't think we will be going back--underwhelmed with the staff.

All of the staff was very friendly. I went to buy a bunny and when I apologized for changing my mind about which one I wanted the man said “What matters is your happy with the one you choose and that you give him a good home.”I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about the “kits” they want you to buy. If you have an existing cage you can show them a picture & give them measurements and if they believe it’s the right size, you won’t have to buy the kit. (They won’t allow play pens or dog kennels which I thought was odd since they are larger but then they explained that because the rabbits they have are so young if they get scared they can squirm in between the bars. I personally still think the cage is too tiny so I use the cage as a “home base” and have c&c (the wires are closer together than a dog kennel/pen so she can’t fit through) grids set up so she has a playpen too.) I did buy the kit but when I told the lady who helped me that I had previously bought hay, bedding, and food/water bowls she allowed me to substitute them out for toys, treats, etc. which I really appreciated. The main thing you’re paying for in the kit is the cage, everything else is at a reduced price so, while it may look like you’re spending a lot, it would be a lot more expensive to go to petsmart and buy each thing individually. They also litter train their bunnies beforehand and the cages they stay in are always clean, you can tell that they really care about their animals and want them to go to good homes. They were also great about answering any questions I had and were very upfront and kind. Some other pet stores are just worried about making a sale, these people really care about making it a good experience for everyone. I’ve gone to a few stores looking for a bunny and this one was by far the cleanest and kindest I could find within 30 minutes from my house. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a bunny or guinea pig.Update: I’m taking it down to 4 stars because while the experience was great, the rabbit has been sick since I brought her home. She’s gotten medicine and everything she needs but I wish they would’ve gotten her a check up when they noticed how much she was sneezing, though I don’t think an individual employee could or should be blamed.

My usual dog food which is grain free was out of stock so the staff helped me choose another dog food to try for my very picky poodle. This dog food also became out of stock but the store was ordering it for me when I needed it. Today I called to order my dog's food and they told me they could no longer order my food because I am not picking it up. This is not true, I do pick it up although it might not be very timely. Im a healthcare provider who has been quite busy for two years. I have been shopping here for over 10 years with a wonderful report with its owners Lee and Mark. I am in dismay that this store has decided that I can no longer be a customer there.

The store is really great. The gentleman that helped me was very knowledgable regarding his food products. I have done quite a bit of research on my own to know what I wanted. He walked me through all the options and explained the benefits to each type/brand. He also asked me about my pricing needs. It was nice that he was open to accommodating both. I asked some questions about some of his raw cat foods, and he provided me a sample of each flavor for free! Truly someone who is interested in the satisfaction of his customers. He also explained that if the food is crumbled from moving/shipping or if the cats did not like the food, I could return it. The prices of the foods I was interested in were right on par with what I had found online, not the cheapest I found, but certainly not the most expensive.They have a wide selection of pet products and carry cats that have been rescued from the shelter. They are cared for and kept in the back until they are fully healthy. I liked that the store handled it all rather than other stores whose stock of cats/animals are shipped around...although I understand the method and am happy that they are finding homes. But, keeping them in one place under the care of the same staff reduces stress and illnesses. They also had limited fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, and parrots (maybe other animals that I did not notice?)I was also signed up for a free rewards card, so if you choose this is your pet store, make sure you get rewards in return.

We went here ready to bring home a bunny, something my husband and I did extensive research on before deciding. When we told the employee she made us wait for 5 minutes (so of course our kids were getting antsy just waiting around) and immediately turned us down in bringing home a bunny. She just assumed because we had young kids with us, that we didn’t know what we were doing, and that “we should try fish” She didn’t ask us any questions about our household situation, nothing. They also lose points for not letting our kid use the bathroom.

Very nice friendly helpful staff . Have a wide variety of products. My dog has need of foods I cannot get at other suppliers . All for the pet had it as a in store stock item . We also have other pets and they meet all our needs in one place . This is a great place to shop .

I have been to this place many times to wash my dogs. They have a very nice set-up for self wash. I have always found that the soap is watered down though but overall it is nice and clean. Today, I brought my 3 kids and 2 dogs. My wife was feeding our infant son in the car, otherwise she and he would also have been with us. We paid for the dogs and proceeded to the wash stations-we were the ONLY people in the store. We split up and my youngest and I took one dog and my older two kids-12 and 10 took the other and I bounced around between the two making sure things were ok (they are adjacent stations and you can see between the two). An older woman, I assume to be the manager, came over to reprimand us twice-both times rather rudely. The latter time informing me " this is not a family event and this will not happen again".I did not even know how to respond to this.I can tell you we washed our dogs and we left the place cleaner then we found it. My kids cleaned the floors, walls and doors. The first time she came over to us she reprimanded my 12 year old son who said to her "I am sorry ma'am, I will clean up any mess" (there was no mess and we were not doing anything wrong). I have been to this place at least 10 times in the past to wash my dogs. I WILL NEVER again frequent this establishment for any reason. We also have 3 cats and 2 hamsters and are constantly buying things for our pets. There was NO ONE in the store and we were simply washing our dogs. My youngest, 8 years old, found some of her own money in her pocket and wanted to buy the dogs a treat on the way out. I would not let her and this made her mad. I finally asked her, "Do you think they were nice to us in that store?" She said "not at all". Then she realized why I would not let her spend money there and she said, "I will buy them something from someplace nice"-that from an 8 year old. Unreal... TERRIBLE experience.

After being educated by a veterinary cardiologist and a normal veterinarian for my dog's nutritional needs, my husband and I were excited to find a place such as All for the Pet who seemed to have a wealth of knowledge and is active in the community. We are new to this area and it was wonderful being greeted by a nice older woman asking of our needs and thought it was nice to be the only customers in the store in order to have an intimate one-on-one educational conversation.Once I mentioned we were not open to a grain free diet and why (my Great Dane just passed from heart failure after being on a grain free diet for years) she lost her composure. "That is such bull.." stopping herself from saying any other colorful words, and downright scolding us while raising her voice. My husband attempted to deescalate the situation by telling her to stop speaking so we could further explain, but she felt so passionately about the topic that she kept speaking over us. After stating we would be leaving, she continued yelling about this topic even as we were exiting the building.Usually I don't pay much attention to a few bad reviews online, but if this is the same woman other reviewers have experienced, I wish we would have listened. This isn't about grain vs grain free, this is about a customer having needs and the business completely losing their composure over the request. We love supporting local businesses and pet boutiques such as this, but we will not return. It's unfortunate because we were genuinely excited to find such an amazing looking business, but ended up in the arms of PetCo.

Horrible place to take your beloved pet for grooming. I had an appointment at 9, she didn’t get out until 12:30! When I asked the groomer, she said she was “difficult to groom,” with this nasty attitude, which has never been the case with my dog. I will never go back. Nasty people.

Asked the cashier for help since their was no other staff to be seen. She went out to ask the manager about the bunny kits (we already have a suitable cage but it seems you can't buy a bunny without buying $170 worth of their supplies and a new cage)We asked to speak to somebody for more info and the manager wouldn't even come out to speak to us.Terrible customer service.

Thank you so much. We went from a cat throwing up everyday to not at all. His coat is coming in so much better and he isn't shedding all over the place. I highly recommend going i was and talking to them about what is going on. Their prices even beat Amazon. Love this place will be back often. Thanks so much.

A few years ago my family had two hamsters that had about a dozen children. We gave them to this pet store and have since shopped here when we need pet food quick and locally. The staff are really knowledgeable on all the products and foods and only stock high quality stuff.

Shopped here regularly for years with no issues, until recently I walked in and was immediately and rudely commanded to leave to wait for a group of people to leave. Once they left I entered and browsed as usual for a bit before being forcefully removed and permanently banned from the store by a large mustached man I had never seen before who claimed to be the owner. In the past we've bought multiple aquariums, rabbits, and even a cat from this store but even after this patronage I was treated with the most disrespect I have ever experienced. More than four months later it still bothers me enough to delay my sleep to well past midnight and to beguile me into writing a review. I strongly recommend shopping somewhere else.

Went to purchase 2 rabbit kits. Our stuff is already set up we have a huge enclosure and all the supplies purchased before we even got there because that’s what responsible people do. Told we could not buy because we didn’t want to spend 300 dollars on stuff we ALREADY had.

Selection was decent. But when I was asking about guinea pigs they said they HAVE to go home with one of their kits (cage, accessories, etc.). I asked “what if someone already has Guinea pigs and has a way nicer cage?” And was told they still have to go home with a kit. This tells me it has nothing to do with the welfare of the pet and everything to do with profits. I have a $300 huge guinea pig custom cage setup but that’s not acceptable?? And their poor Guiana pigs and rabbits didn’t have any hideouts, guinea pigs HATE being forced to be out in the open, especially when eating.

I went to this store planning to purchase a rabbit. I saw it was $25 dollars but has a fine print that indicate that you need to purchase their rabbit cage worth $160+. She explained why and I do understand why but what I don’t understand is that when I asked about the guinea pig, she said that we are also required to purchase a cage, the same cage. I said that same cage is huge for a guinea pig and asked if there’s anything else, she said no even though I was already looking at a smaller one and when I pointed it to her, she said “ahh yes you can purchase that too”. I started to be doubtful so I explained to her that I am now thinking of either getting a rabbit, a guinea pig or a parakeet. She then said that among those three rabbit is the easiest to maintain. I then thought that this lady employee is either doesn’t know what she’s talking about, or she’s just bullshitting me that she thinks that I have no knowledge when it comes to those pet. I believe that her ultimate goal is to sell that cage regardless of what pet we buy. That was my first time in this store and definitely the last and because of that, I will inform all my colleagues and friends who live and work in that area about what happened so that they will avoid this store for future purchase.

The people who own and run this store are friendly and helpful. They also have better prices on dog food than on Amazon or anywhere online. Giving business to local companies is what it is all about! We will continue to buy our dog food from here for years to come.
