We were impressed with the overall experience. Communication about our pets current habits and diet was very attentive. The way the staff handled our cat was great. Helpful suggestions regarding our cat’s diet and knowledge regarding the qualities of the food in her diet was assuring.

The environment is always really great. The vet techs and vets are happy to help and make me feel confident and comfortable when not every visit to the vet can be that way. I know when I go in I am getting the help and guidance I need. Thank you to everyone at Olney-Sandy Spring vet!

Wonderful place to take your pets! Caring staff and great Vets who talk you through issues!I really appreciate that the Doctors take the time to examine an issue, explain and clearly show what needs to be done no matter the problem.... are respectful in sharing knowledge and go the extra mile when needed. This practice is the best we've been to (in over 25 that we've experienced... in the last 45 years from east coast to west)! We try to do our homework and have watched online seminars and classes for breeders... so appreciate them being up to date of care, know what their doing and have your back when needed. We so appreciate their support for breeders and pets! Their attitude at Olney-Sandy Springs is the best!!!Cherie Rogersa'Blaze Siberians

Victoria was so nice from the moment I spoke to her over the phone to schedule the grooming appointment. She listened and showed how caring and knowledgeable she is with animals. She did a great job with my skittish adopted cat. I will definitely return. Thank you so much!!

Everyone at OSSVH reception is warm and helpful, and the doctors display genuine concern and affection for your pet. The practice is always up on the latest medications, technology and methods. The facilities are clean, the waiting area is thoughtfully designed, and there's even the convenience of a small shop that carries oft-prescribed foods. We love OSSVH!

We've been taking our dog here (for vet services and for boarding) since we got him in 2020, and we can't say enough good things about the care and love he receives from the staff. Everyone there is polite, professional, and absolutely adores animals and I can't imagine taking him anywhere else!

The staff worked to get us seen sooner than our original appointment, and arranged for our 2nd dog to have her technician appointment at the same time. They took the time to listen to our concerns, did a thorough examination and provided clear recommendations based off her assessment. I am comfortable with her findings and confident that we are in good hands.

After my dog, Autumn, had an emergency splenectomy performed at another hospital and her biopsy came back as hemangiosarcoma, we were told by two different doctors to cherish our last moments with our girl. Autumn bounced back after surgery and looking at her, you would never guess she has cancer. Well, my mom and I refused to give up on her, and I called around to many different hospitals -- we were turned away by two due to it being COVID and them not taking on any new clients/patients at the time, which is totally understandable.. but then I found Olney-Sandy Spring Veterinary Hospital. They are about an hour away from where we live, but it is well worth the hike. When I called, I was emotional and spoke to this lovely lady, Kathy. She helped me feel calm and taken care of while making my appointment. I am forever grateful for the compassion she showed me that day -- she could tell I was upset, made a point to make a connection with me, and didn't just ask me for information about my pet. After sending in Autumn's records, we were quickly scheduled for her first chemotherapy consult.Dr. Krueger beautifully explained our options and that she thought Autumn would be a good candidate for chemotherapy. After every chemotherapy appointment she has there, I get a phone call from either Dr. Krueger or Autumn's amazing chemotherapy nurse, Alyssa, on how she was that day; I also get an email from Dr. Krueger with a great summary of her day and what our next steps are. Alyssa sent us this beautiful photo of Autumn and let us know that she enjoyed her hot dogs and beef flavored pill pockets while she was there. Since I am a vet tech myself, it is hard for me to let go but I never had that concern here since I know she is loved and in amazing hands. <3Autumn was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma in March and was given 1-3 months to live. It is now August and all her follow up diagnostics are clear -- we are cherishing every day we have with our girl. Her quality of life is simply the way it was before any of this happened, and I do not think any of it would be possible without Dr. Krueger, Alyssa, and the rest of Olney-Sandy Spring Veterinary Hospital's staff. <3

Thank you for getting our fur baby in for an appointment so quickly. We were so worried about her being in pain and truly appreciated the fast, friendly and efficient service that was provided by the entire staff. We will definitely refer your office to other pet parents!

Extremely happy and satisfied with the excellent care that Ginger my 5 year old plus red Olde English Bulldogge has received from Dr. Rapp and one of the female vet techs sorry that I do not remember her name as well as the recent grooming services by Victoria who is expectational and loves dogs and has a number of dogs and cats herself.Even thou Ginger is not a fan of Vet Hospitals, she loves Victoria and knows that and thus responds well to being groomed by her.Mr. Nestor R. Used to like this place, until our dogs doc changed practices a few years ago. They have become very pushy with shots and services the past few years. Cultish. Every single person working here is wearing a mask. Would be fine, if they didn't seem cultish about pushing "vaccines" and services.Lepto vaccine- the US has 10 to 20 cases of lepto reported in dogs per year (no point in getting your dog this shot- my dog has a higher likelyhood of winning the lottery than getting lepto).Rabies vaccine- the US has 60 to 70 cases of rabies reported in dogs per year (no point in getting this shot either- my dog has a higher likelyhood of winning the lottery than getting rabies)Heartworm test: they push that every single time to run up the bill. Dogs can get this from mosquitoes/ticks. If your dog has heartworms, it will have symptoms of having worms. My dog has 0 symptoms. Also, if your dog is found to have heartworms, because it was tested for it because it had symptoms, there is treatment for it.Testing for heart worms with 0 symtpoms is like testing for covid with 0 symptoms. It's stupid, and will cost you $75. Remember when no having no symptoms, was a symptom? Yeah....Same with the stool test they push on you. No point in stool testing if your dogs stool looks good and doesn't have worms in it, and if your dog shows 0 signs of being ill/itchy/pukey/poopy/tired/ecc ecc. Just wanted to get our dog a bordetella shot so she could go to the groomer. Nope... you'll be convincingly pushed for a whole gamet of pointless shots and tests. And even if you pass on everything you don't want/don't need for your dog, you'll still be charged $93 for a wellness check that is 75 seconds of touching your.

My family and I have been loyal clients at OSSVH for the last 5 years. Throughout the years, we've been grateful for the love and excellent care they provided to our Morkie. We trusted their team with our precious pets. However, our recent experiences have left us deeply disappointed. In September 2023, the OSSVH staff faced a significant increase in Covid-19 cases and provided us with some options for our routine vaccination of our 7.5-month-old, 17lb Pomksy. We opted for car-side service. Unfortunately, our encounter with the technician, Holly, was less than pleasant towards the end. She displayed an unprofessional attitude and mentioned that it took six people to handle our 7.5-month-old, 17lb Pomsky for a routine shot. We found this excessive and concerning.Later that day, we received an email from Dr. Rapp suggesting our Pomsky might be "too aggressive to be around other people." This baffled us, as our puppy has been attending puppy classes twice a week since he was 2.5 months old. No one has ever described him as "aggressive." To make matters worse, we discovered that during a previous appointment on 07/20/23, OSSVH had muzzled and restrained our 5.5-month-old, 16.6lb puppy without seeking permission or stopping the procedure. This is simply unacceptable. We emailed and requested that all future appointments are cancelled. Our experience with OSSVH has been marred by these recent events, and we no longer trust them with our pets' care. It was disappointing to find that, even as of 10/09/23, they were still sending reminders for us to bring in our Pomsky. This lack of attention to our decision further highlights their disregard for their clients' concerns. We hope this review serves as a warning to other pet parents seeking veterinary care for their beloved animals. It is our firm belief that better care can be found elsewhere.

We drive 35-40 minutes to your practice when there are at least 6 veterinary practices within 10 minutes of us. Your entire team, from reception desk, veterinary technicians to veterinarians are pleasant and knowledgeable.

The staff are very friendly, caring and professional. I've been coming here for years and enjoy every minute. Every dog owner that I see come in here with their dogs always look happy and very relaxed. I would never even think about changing to another vet.

Olney-Sandy Spring Veterinary Hospital is absolutely wonderful. One of our cats has had an upper respiratory infection pretty consistently for a couple of years. Dr. Rapp cultured his sinuses to figure out the right antibiotic. Mister Peak is recovering from that infection very nicely. We have another cat with progressive dendritic histiocytosis. Dr. Rapp has helped with a treatment plan and has knowledge from working with another cat who had the same syndrome (it's very rare). And we have another cat who is... challenging. All the vets have been very patient with her and the others. We are grateful to OSSVH for helping in our cats' care. Thank you for your dedication and diligence.

Excellent care of dog with high grade cancer (large B-cell lymphoma). My hone calls with questions were returned promptly. Caring veterinarian, empathetic advice given to owner on choice of chemo vs Palliative care. I chose Palliative care, and my dog was with me for about 60 days after diagnosis. About five years ago a mammary tumor was removed from my dog by a large corporate veterinarian retail outlet, as my dog was enrolled in their wellness pet care. However, the large corporate veterinarian failed to remove one of the tumors, even though it was marked and discussed previously. I had other issues with one or two of large corporate veterinarian's, viewing my pet as some sort of farm or range animal. I think my dog would still be with me had I not thought I was saving time and money by using the large corporate veterinarian retail outlet"s wellness pet care.

The prompt attention , the courteous staff and the level of care provided to my 108 month old puppy (I know he’s a 9 year old senior but he’s always OUR puppy) was top tier. OSSVH is top of the line.

Friendly staff who care about our dog. Appointments run on time, which is nice if you like to not be kept waiting. Dr. Rapp takes time to explain things and makes you feel like you can make an informed decision. We like them enough to drive 30 minutes from home to their office!

We truly appreciate all the love and care our dog receives at your animal hospital. Every staff member we deal with is friendly, professional, and clearly cares about the wellbeing of of dog. We always feel like she is in good hands with your staff. Thank you for everything you do for this furry member of our family and for all the fury members of our Olney/Sandy Spring community.

All of the staff have been very friendly to both me and my dog. During my appointments I never felt like anyone was rushing through it. All of the staff I spoke to answered all of my questions, and my vet showed me how to do some key things with my dog as well. All of the staff gave my dog so much positive attention and I think he really enjoyed being there!

OSSVH was willing to get my pup in for an urgent situation; all staff was warm, supportive and patient with questions including reception team and vet tech Michael. And of course Dr. Gregory is excellent and really spent time explaining/teaching/guiding us as parents of a suddenly paralyzed pet. We are so grateful because we know it was no easy thing to shift the day’s appointments to fit us in so quickly when we desperately needed it.

Absolutely fantastic clinic! A little over an hour drive from my house, but totally worth it for the quality of care and professionalism. The staff was more than willing to take some time out of their busy day and share their experience and knowledge with me. They clearly know what they’re doing, AND they made my dog (who is friendly, but is suspicious about clinical handling after a nightmare experience at a different clinic years ago) feel very comfortable. They had him back out to me in no time, and he looked calm and happy. I won’t hesitate to recommend OSS to anybody willing to listen, and I’ll definitely be back! 6 out of 5 stars; great people!

These guys are amazing. The women at the front were so friendly and understood how anxious my dog was. The vet tech and the vet were so kind with my scared dog. The vet was very thorough, addressed all of my concerns, and answered all of my questions. I couldn't ask for a better place to take my dog.

It's truly hard for me to put into words the compassion of every single staff member at this hospital. When we first got the diagnosis of lymphoma for our dog a few months ago, this was the only veterinarian (oncology) location that was able to get her in to start treatment within a few days. Dr. Krueger gave us 3 more months with our pup, and we are so grateful for the support she gave us in those months (unfortunately our dog had the form of lymphoma that is more resistant to chemo). Dr. Krueger was kind, patient, understanding, and incredibly accommodating to us. I felt like she was honest with us every step of the way, and she gave us the best advice on next steps. It felt like she had our dog's best interest at heart. When our dog's time came, the staff set up an area outside so that we could be with her (even though my boyfriend had covid) until the very end. While our dog never reached remission, this hospital gave us a few more months with her and we are incredibly grateful to them for that.

Dr. Gregory is a very competent doctor with a good "bedside" manner for our nearly 10 year old goldendoodle. Bentley did not flinch when getting his shots or when blood was drawn. Dr. Gregory answered my questions honestly and completely. The technician (I missed her name) was also very good and Bentley responded well to her, too. We've been taking our pets to OSSVH for years and are very pleased with the veterinary care. We will continue using them in the future.
