When you have rescue dogs, their past has often been abuse and neglect. It takes a special person to overcome these hurdles. Alana’s commitment to training the whole dog and owner far exceeds all expectations. My 2-year-old rescue German Shepherd/Australian Cattle dog, Zoey, spent 3 weeks with Alana and her family. During that time, Alana stays in contact showing Zoey’s progress daily. Alana takes time to ensure the owner is confident in the commands and understands the why behind the need for a structured balanced approach.Since Zoey’s return home, I have incorporated her training techniques into our daily lives. Alana changed our lives.My dog has always been a bit of a neurotic goofball, but over time his reactivity got so bad I couldn’t trust anyone to watch him when I left for work or travel.We had tried training of various sorts with various trainers, positive reinforcement, and even moving out of an overstimulating apartment to a quieter neighborhood for the sake of all of our mental health. Ultimately, I had a difficult time spending the dedicated time he needed to work through some of his recurring issues.When I had an upcoming unmissable week-long trip and no one to watch my pup, I knew we had to take matters into our own hands and look into programs that set my dog and myself up for success.I had been following Alana on Instagram for a while (@wolfmoondogs) and had seen how she had helped dogs like mine become more confident, more calm over time. It was clear even just from following her that she knew her ish and wouldn’t let stubborn, crazy pups like mine bully her around.When Alana told me she was available, I booked her so fast. She worked with me to determine our pre work based on my concerns and goals for Sulla and we set the dates for his training.During the board and train, we got regular updates through the Instagram account, a mid-program check in session, and constant communication when my worried dog mom heart needed reassurance.Alana focused on my dogs ability to practice self control through all aspects of his life, and taught me the ways in which I could implement the same structure.When I went to go pick up my dog, I was so overwhelmed by his progress that I sat with Alana and cried. We had tried so many things but to see my pup able to have his paws handled, walk by another dog in close proximity without reacting, standing around in a kitchen without jumping, and self regulating his way through over stimulation….well I couldn’t help myself.The work is not over, and Alana made that very clear. We have several more weeks to go of intense structure in the home and relearning how to handle ourselves on walks and in the house, but we have the tools and the support system to be successful.I am so thankful, I couldn’t recommend her more.

Alana is the absolute best dog trainer and human! Her compassion for you and your dog is unmatched. We have a small business and one of our clients had a WMD graduate and she was the sweetest dog we had ever come across, we couldn't believe it. I had to know what they did with their dog which lead us to Alana. We had a VERY reactive french bulldog and Alana was able to teach him how to live life without being so reactive. Using the ecollar is such an incredible tool letting you live a more stress free life with your dog. Teaching the dog to naturally check in and follow all your commands makes life for the dog and human so amazing. I wish we had trained with her sooner! Without Alana laying down the foundation we would still have a crazy reactive dog. Alana taught us humans that we will have progress over perfection and the more practice we do the better the life for the dog and humans. We can already see everyday has gotten better and better and are looking forward to off leash walks :) Every dog from now on will get to go to 'camp' with Alana and learn how to live their best lives. We like to say you pay for what you get and with Alana its everything and more! Her constant support is really nice and she is always looking out for our furry family members. Let me start by saying that before my husband and I got “our” first dog, we had already agreed that Alana would train him. Although we had both grown up with dogs, we agreed that a solid foundation and knowledge of commands was critical, and that we wanted to enlist the help of a professional. We had known Alana for years and several of our friends had their dogs trained by her, so this was a no brainer.We sent our 8 month old European Doberman to Alana to work on being a well-mannered young Dobe that would quite literally know his “place” in our home, go on walks without dragging you along, and just overall have a calmer state of mind. As a pushy and stubborn dog with a high drive, we knew that training was essential.Alana is not only wonderful throughout her time with the dog, but before and after as well! There was never a time that I felt judged or wrong for asking a question or her opinion on something dog related. Throughout Dollar’s time with Alana, it was wonderful to see her social media updates and see how he was progressing. After his training, Alana spent hours talking to us about his e-collar, commands, and walking Dollar up and down the street. She has also checked in to see how he is doing now that he is back home.We appreciate all the time, effort, and patience that Alana spent and used on our boy! Before I adopted Goober, I knew that I wanted Alana to train him. She has trained other dogs in my family so I was able to see first hand how amazing her work is!About a week before I brought Goober home, I reached out to Alana simply for a size recommendation for a Ruffland kennel since her boys are a similar size and she was more than happy to help and immediately became Goober and I's biggest supporter. She gave me so many great tips on how to transition Goober into a home after living in a shelter and always made time to talk with me and help me through the struggles we were having.The day I met Goober, I instantly fell in love with his sweet, spunky, full of life, and lots of love to give soul but knew that he desperately needed structure and the only person fit for the job was Alana. He had more energy than he knew what to do with. He didn't know how to make decisions for himself. When he felt anxious or needing attention, his go-to was to jump on me. He is a major velcro dog and as much as I love his love, that is a very unhealthy life for him to live and I needed him to learn that he is capable of living a life where he doesn't need to be in my lap every second of every day to be happy.Believe me, the thought of handing my dog over for 3 weeks was absolutely terrifying however, it was the best decision I could have ever made. Not only for Goober but for myself as well! Alana treated Goober as if he were her own. She not only taught Goober how to live a calmer life but, also taught me how to help Goober. During our midway session, she spent an hour going over everything she had been working on with Goober and explained it in a way that anyone could understand and then spent an additional hour where I was handling Goober and she was there to jump in and help whenever necessary. Then, at our going home session, she spent another two hours with us, making sure I understood everything that she had worked on and made sure that I was comfortable with everything she had just taught me before we went home. Alana communicated with me throughout the entire process and has continued to followup and help in any way that she can even now that Goober has been back home with me for a couple weeks.Alana is one of the most genuine people that I know. She is so patient, listens without judgement and is always rooting for you and your dog! She has set Goober and I up with the foundation we needed to build a healthy relationship with each other. I cannot recommend Alana enough!!! She is truly family and I am forever grateful for her!

As a first time dog owner, I was pretty nervous about “getting it right”.I had adopted an amazing Pit mix who had been in a local shelter for a full year. (I’ve got three kiddos and a full time 24/7 on call job). Wolf Moon Dogs was highly recommended by several local pet agencies.We loved our new family member- but her energy was a lot to tame. After three weeks with Alana, we felt like we could really connect with Jazzy- she was her same lovable self, but with a whole new level of confidence in herself and in us! I adopted my dog in January of 2020, the shelter told me he had at least 2 owners before me, possibly 3. He kept ending up in the shelter because he would nip if anyone got close to him. I remember calling Alana in tears because I couldn’t get a collar on him to take him out.She was so patient and helpful, she introduced us to different tools to help make life easier. She helped us build trust with each other, before I knew it Boyd was a very loving when it came to me. He still had issues when people would approach him. I’m so happy I took my crazy little pit mix to Wolf Moon Dogs. Alana understood Gigi right away, and her holistic approach to create a calmer state of mind has done wonders for my furry bundle of energy. Gigi used to choose when to obey certain commands (like recall), and now she almost always responds appropriately. When I first rescued Gigi, she was recovering from a dog attacking her and had major dog reactivity issues. Her dog reactivity is much reduced now, and Alana is quick to respond to my many questions and provide more tips even weeks after Gigi’s stay with her. I wanted a dog that would fit into my weekend lifestyle of hiking, going to the beach, and visiting my dad in his assisted living facility ,so, I got my first dog, Sammi, a 18month old,black English lab. Not long after,I soon became frustrated with the constant struggle of trying to get her to listen, not running off as soon as I turned my back, and the embarrassing moment that she jumped up on one of the elderly residents at my dad's living facility, was when I knew I had to do something. Also, I have a few acres at my house, but no fence, so keeping her on a leash all the time to do her business was wearing on me.Soon after that I learned about Alana, through my sister, who has many dogs and one that is E-collar trained.I contacted Alana and she was certain that she could help Sammi's over excitement and anxiousness. I was hesitant about spending the money, but thought of it as a investment for at least the next 10 years, stress relief for me, and Sammi !I dropped Sammi off, then went back to work with her about 10 days in. I could see the change then,same sweet Sammi, but much more calm balanced energy. As someone who studies personal development,it really resonated with me how Alana works on the dog's mindset, and how that translates to a better well-balanced dog.So now it is a few weeks after I have picked Sammi up, and let me tell you, the training has transformed our relationship !Sammi will now not jump up on anyone, walks in a "heal" position right next to me,with or without a leash, with stay within 25 feet of me in my yard, always looking back to see where I'm at. And whatever we are doing, see is always checking in with me to look for direction on what to do next.The biggest thing also, is that when I take her to my Dad's facility now, she will walk up calmly to the residents, sit in front of them, and look up to me for the next direction. It puts a smile on there face and is so worth it!Alana is so professional and passionate with what she does. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Alana is fantastic, and we would recommend her to anyone who is committed to training their dog. She is warm and friendly, and also knowledgeable and serious about making positive and lasting changes for you and your dog. I recently had the pleasure of working with the amazing Alana. I am the new owner of a wonderful Golden Retriever. I found my puppy during the shutdown and needed help with my puppy’s anxious and sometimes aggressive behavior. I had my 3.5 year old French Bulldog spend 3 weeks with Alana for a board and train. At the time she was recovering from an minor injury and Alana took AMAZING extra great care during her training. We were working on her obedience, traveling in the car and manners with other dogs. The first thing I noticed when I brought her home 6 months ago was her calmer state of mind. Her eye contact with me to be the leader and her ability to mind her business when we were out and about was incredible and made time with her so much more enjoyable for US BOTH. She is an excellent traveler. I don't hear a peep from her on 4 hour car rides. She's happily snoozing in a relaxed state instead of panting. Where do I even start with how amazing our experience was with Alana at Wolf Moon Dogs! Our two hounds have been making our life stressful for the last 4 years. Especially when it comes to company, doors, other dogs etc. Ruby has wayyyyy to much energy and no boundaries with other dogs and people and Stanley is very nervous and matches Ruby’s energy with nervous energy. Having people over was miserable and having service workers in our home was stress inducing. The final straw was our 4 year old started asking to have friends over which would have been impossible with them in the past. Alana was sooo knowledgeable and her communication with us was unmatched. She posted daily videos of our dogs while they were with her so we could keep up with their progress, and we spent 4+ hours with her on pickup day so she could do hands on training with us for every situation that could arise. Our dogs are completely transformed into calm happy animals that we actually love to be around. We hike with them, enjoy walking them (in a heel!!!) and feel like we have some control back in our household. Thanks Alana!
