Overall: 4.50. Located on Rockville Pike & by Twinbrook Metro Station—modern design & aesthetics. Exceptionally well-maintained & clean with all departments neatly organized, appealing & stocked. Staff very friendly & helpful. Attached parking garage, street parking & a few free parking spaces in front of store. Other cute eateries & retailers in this shopping center. Love shopping at this Safeway.

It's 6 o'clock and I just wanted a salad from the deli. You literally scoop it in a container and weigh it. But apparently they are closed. Even though the lady behind the counter is working. She said there is no one here for the deli. But you're standing behind the deli wrapping sandwiches. Ok . No problem.

I shop here nearly daily because it's so convenient. The only issue is that I ALWAYS have items scan at the wrong price. So keep an eye on the prices here because they will overcharge you! But they'll also fix it for you at the register if you prove that it's scanning incorrectly, it's just such a pain to always have to deal with.

I never feel safe coming in here there is high watch alert be warned I feel as if I’mBeing stalked in the store best to know what you’re looking for grab it pay for it take your receipt keep it in hand till you get to your car or the door and leave . There’s better Safeways where you don’t have to worry about this issue . Understandable we live in crazy times but to just feel that anxiety of shopping here and being watched like an hawk is unnecessary

A very good grocery shopping Mart for your daily needs. The store is a full service store that has flowers, pharmaceutical Isle, bakery, stationary, meat, all sort of condiments, a large section of organic fruits and vegetables. The Safeway also has a redbox in the complex. In order to use the deals they offer, one needs to enroll in their Safeway rewards program and register through their app. Most of the deals are accepted by scanning through their app on your phone. The prices are competitive with other orders around. On the China side, you will have a tough time finding a parking for your car. So, plan accordingly.

I used to like coming here. Now everytime I come here I feel pressured and feel like I don’t belong. I know they have had recent thefts which caused them to heighten security. They have an armed security guard and I can guarantee they have loss prevention monitoring the cams. There’s no reason for me to be looked at as a criminal everytime I come here. A few weeks ago I had bought a few gift cards and was carded for the first time in my life for buying gift cards. Again today I bought a gift card and both staff came over to me in self checkout. I’m not sure what they’re looking for but I’ve personally never stolen anything in my life and personally I’ve never deal with anything like this in my life. It’s sad that I still have to deal with this in 2023. I live within walking distance of this Safeway but will probably go to a different one from now on.

How could it be that there's only one entrance in and out of this particular Safeway?People literally knock each other over to enter and exit the store.Isn't that a fire hazard?Otherwise, I love the deli.I'm referring to the Safeway at Rivertowne Commons in Oxon Hill, MD.

Better prices and good selection, BUT you have to check the dates on everything you pick up. I’m sitting at home with expired ranch and expired taco shells. The items have been expired for months. It’s been a common occurrence the past 4 years I have shopped here. Now I have to go back to get a refund and check all of my items I just bought. I always forget to check them all while I’m in the store. Bought 10/18/2023. Expired June 30, 2023.

Standing here waiting on a manager for 20 minutes called the store while waiting still no one came, had someone call for a manager 2x, still standing. The worst store ever, thank goodness Giant is down the street and fully staffed all day everyday. An asset to this store is Antonio Williams, I might have the last name wrong. This gentleman has provided customer service to me on two different occassions. Clone this man because you need more like him because your other staff look at me like a deer in headlights.Tonight he came and told me the Cindy was with another customer after seeing me standing for the longest. Staff your store and you have Cindy running the store after those managers go home, working her to death.

If you prefer European-style cakes to their sweeter American cousins, you must try their bakery. It has been a lifeline for our afternoon coffee break. The store overall has some organizational issues. For example, the staff can't be bothered to bring empty baskets close to the entrance. They are all always piled up near the self-checkout registers at the opposite end of the store.

Good for buying frozen food or vegetables. But I bought spoiled fish and meat here so no more fish or meat. I also found expired food sold here multiple timesPS. Good promotion! They sent me coupon which is not valid for 2 more weeks! You come, you shop and they tell you you cannot apply what we have sent you. Never again. Hope this shop will close soon

Customer service could be a bit more friendly. Always when I ask someone for help there is nobody around, and If I get somebody they don’t know anything about where are located some items in the store. Safeway has always be more expensive from other stores in the area.

Shopping was easy but I don't like that the Shopping carts lock and you can not push to your car. I found that out the hard way when I bought a lot of groceries and had to find a lady to stand by my cart so I could get my folding wagon out of my trunk to load my groceries on.

I’m so disappointed by my shopping experience today! I had to go through check out twice and they still couldn’t get it right. I got 6 items, total of $18 and I tried to use a $10 store coupon, it didn’t go through when I tried self checkout. So the staff canceled my whole purchase and scanned again at the register, with the coupon ending up $16 something. I showed her all my online coupon and told her I could write down the price for every item and do the math right there, but she said there was nothing she can do. This was supposed to be a quick trip yet wasted all my time and I had to cancel my whole purchase cause they couldn’t get it right!!! Seriously, Safeway should work harder on their coupon system!

The employees are nice and always helpful. I think they should improve on the display of the fresh goods particularly the fruit as it doesn't always look so good. Other than that it's a great store because of the employees mostly.

Clean and peaceful. Prices are on par with typical Safeway stores. You could definitely tell this was located in a privileged neighborhood.

I never have written a review about a grocery store before, but leaving I knew I had to! My husband and I were visiting and staying at the Hilton right before this Safeway.First off BRANDI who works at Starbucks, If this ever reaches her GIIIIRL your were an absolute pleasure to see right in the AM. Though it is stocked all the time it doesn't have many options with ethnic foods. On top of that the deli counter lady does not know what she's doing, when I asked for some sliced cheese and meat she handed it all back in a ball, it is unusable. I would not recommend coming here for the deli.As for Safeways response, I have contacted them before to no avail.

Ok store but way too few cashiers. Most stores make you scan your items these days, but this store is especially understaffed and really needs to hire more cashiers because their computer system seems to have a problem every time I try to scan and then I have to wait a long time for help to arrive to fix the self scan problems. The store also seems to intentionally make the shipping experience miserable. Store bathrooms are locked and difficult to get staff to open and the store app regularly doesn't work so advertised discounts aren't accessible. There months later and things just keep getting worse. Expensive. Awful services. Excruciatingly slow.

I love Safeway - the reason for this not being 5 stars is the cart issue. I'm handicapped and have parked out front (not in the garage below) in the handicapped spots and tried to take my cart to my car to unload but they've made it so you physically cannot leave the store with the cart. I had to carry everything to my car. There should be a sign telling you this when you enter the store.

Waited in line for over an hour for a flu shot vaccine that Safeway convinced me to schedule an appointment for to skip the line. They’ve also been trying to get me to switch my prescriptions to their pharmacy, but they helped make that decision easier. This is the most inefficient pharmacy I’ve ever seen. It was mind blowing. And zero communication, apology, notice, nothing. Was treated as if this was perfectly normal.

Very big store, convenient location for people who live in the area as well. The pharmacy service is good, however, their closing hours are a lot different than other supermarkets. The prices are high, unless you can get deals and specials. Sometimes, certain items that you may be looking for are all gone. The store that size can d a better stocking of items for customers and selctions.

This store doesn't have business and should be shut down. As every reviews said it is under staffed. Store is dead no customers. People go to Giant or WholeFood which are always packed. This location is bad for business. Safeway hasn't catchup on business. The company waste money on rent.

This is a great Safeway! It's clean, airy, and the employees are friendly. The grilled/fried chicken is amazing. The Mango Habanero is Fire!!! Definitely worth the trip! News tip: if you want white mean, I recommend you go early because it tends to go quickly.

This is one of my preferred grocery stores. It is always clean and organized. The staff at this location is always helpful and provides a high level of customer service. Prices are comparable overall. Even in the midst of a pandemic, service has been high quality, with a minor exception.The pharmacy is great too. Some of better prices for medications, if not using insurance. Pharmacist(s) always explains new medications with tips on when/how to take/use prescription.Garage parking is free for first 2 hrs. Be mindful if metered street parking and hours, as you will get a ticket.
