I went in a few days ago because my cat was barley eating his dry food and I wanted some advice. The guy behind the counter that kinda looks like Jesus gave me some sample dry food that was high in protein and healthy that he thought would be better. My cat now eats all his dry food :D will continue shopping here for the hospitality and kindness.

Michael did a wonderful job taking care of us ans give us lots of interesting information. I like that they have rules to make sure you have the prerequisites to take home a bunny. Surprisingly, my last petshop where I got a bunny, did not do any checklist, luckily we did research at that time. So I give them kudos for preparing new owners.They had a wonderful collection of animals and lots of products to choose from. Wonderful bunny section. They had Mini Rexs, Lops, Dutch Bun, and a few mixed buns. They were so cute, but its hard to choose one, especially for bonding purposes with my bun. They had some other great animals and even some rehoming pets, I would have gotten one of them, but since I already have a bunny, no reason to challenge myself and get a different species~Overall, great shop, those who are into animal welfare won't probably like it and will always yell "Adopt!" but I tried that process and it takes way too long and hard to adopt them out. I ended up just coming here and getting a bunny becuase it was my second option besides through a lengthy process and end up with no bunny~Bonding: Well, you'll hear a few days to a couple months. I got two Mini Rex's now and one wants to destroy the other one, so its going to be a long fun exciting bonding process! Am going to have to roll up my sleeves for this!

Great selection of pet products, neocaridina shrimp are my favorite, fresh & saltwater fish, birds, guinea pigs, reptiles & much more. The staff is Great!

I like today’s Pat. They’re one of the only places in the area where you can get live feeder rats and as far as I can tell, they have more separate size categories than everyone else.

Great place to see and interact with different puppies before buying them. They always have puppies available. In addition, their selection of food for pets is really good. They have birds, cats, fish, guinea pigs and dogs for sale.

i’ve been shopping here for two years for all of my guinea pig essentials. the employees are so friendly and knowledgeable about both the animals and the products. i also really appreciate their ethical adoption policies, and have adopted two of my boys from them. a few months ago when i was running low on pellets and they didn’t have any in stock, they took down my information and contacted me when they received them in a shipment so i could buy them as soon as possible. the prices for quality and credible brands are much more affordable than even chain stores (not to mention the questionable ethics and lack of care chains all seem to have). i cannot express enough contentment with my experience with today’s pet, and i never want to go anywhere else for my pet needs. shop local!

We got our newest addition here. Hefty price tag but normal for his breed. They helped get us the best financing and sent us home with the cutest little guy ever. They are pretty personable and when we go back with him remember him and us. Great place for the weirdo dog parents, they definitely love your dog as much as you do.

I've been here before and like to look at all the animals they keep. This time when I checked the back, all the birds they keep they looked absolutely cramped in their tiny cages, I've never kept bird pets but I think 10-15 birds in a maybe 15×15x15 cage is neglectful while there are still empty cages inside the store, a middle cages birds were restless and kept hitting flying and hitting the front of the cage. They were all finch type species, is this normal? There were also maybe 4 of the zebra finches that looked overpreened around their necks. Usually a great kept up place but I feel like the birds are neglected this time.

My husband and I purchased dry dog food in the clearance section of the store a couple months ago. We got to the bottom of our dry dog food bag, and there are so many grain beetles in there. We've noticed some of the bugs before, but just brushed it off as they just cane in somehow. Now we've seen them and they are also all over the floor where we kept the dog food and in some of the kitchen drawers. We have never had these bugs before until we purchased it from this store. The store itself can be cleaner which could prevent this from happening. Never going back again.Also, the people that help the store are sometimes not friendly. And because it's a small store for so many pets, they have little variety in the sections they have.

Almost bought a chuck it dog toy but it was dirty so had to put it back. Some of the food on clearance was expired by a year (2019). Then bought a bag of dog treats because it was labeled $4.99. Went to check out and the price rung up higher. Usually in customer service, they will give you the price that is publicly advertised in the store (see picture for proof). When I asked for the price that was displayed, I was told by the associate/manager that customers can just go around and change the labels, basically insinuating that I was lying and putting the blame on customers. Will not be shopping here again.

Very awsome local store for any of your not needs! They have awsome products and always know the answers to any pet related questions. Highly recommend checking out for any pet adoption. They will not let you leave the store without having all of the pet essentials for your new critter. Adoption fees are fair and quality of animals is excellent. Adopted my 2 bunnies from there. They will also re-home pets for you.

June 4, 2021 FridayStaff help me by giving me options to try out for Bing Bong the 🐈 cat & Yewande the 🐕 dog are very picky eaters. The broth is to be add to Stella and Chewy dog food trying to get yewande to eat her food.Bing Bong will be trying out New Cat Food call "CAT IT".Thank for taking the time to help me and being very patience with me , it means so much to me .

I love this small business pet store. They have everything I ever need. Prices are better than chain pet stores. The selection is things I actually want my animals to have. This is one of the best places to buy frozen snake food!! They also have great animals all in good health

Great service from two of the employees. Greeted at the door. Had visited once previously just to look around but this recent time was an EMERGENCY. I didn’t know at the time but my sick fish was dying and I was in search of not only aquatic medications but also education. I didn’t know what I could do but I was advised thoroughly and I made the decision to stick with my initial plan. I able to get a placo at a great price and I definitely will be back very soon. I like the small, family owned feel. Big box fish stores never have the right items on hand.Thank you Today’s Pet Team

This place reeks of people who think they know about animals but don't. I held a very lethargic bunny. Bunnies from pet shops don't usually have a vet check and vaccines like you get from rabbit adoption centers like Friends of Rabbits or House Rabbit Society. The cages the dengues were in (think oversized gerbils) had roaches on the wall on the cage and roach egg cases on the grate above their cages. The cages the cockatiels were in were too small for two cockatiels. The associates were pretty unfriendly when I tried to talk to them about the cockatoo that had been returned to them. It's like these people don't want to sell the animals but also don't care enough to take proper care of them or ensure they get vet care. Sketchy vibes all around.

On Thursday, March 9, 2023, my girlfriend and I purchased a pet Ferret from Today's Pet in Elkridge, Maryland. We are extremely happy and satisfied with our ferret and the excellent help and assistance from Dominic and the Staff there. Dominic worked closely with us for a few weeks and was very helpful and diligent in making sure we were satisfied and kept us informed of the availability of our ferret. Thank you Dominic. We highly recommend Today's Pet, and Dominic for excellent service.

More like Not Today.I contacted them about their rehoming program after my daughter, who’s 10, came home with a bucket of fish without asking me first. Apparently she had told her friend who’s moving to London that we would take them because already had fish. However, our fish are all SW, and I don’t have any FW fish or a tank. I called my daughters friends parents and was told it’s my problem since my daughter said we would take them and they had already drained their tank and were packing it up.So I got online and started looking around about how to rehome these fish and discovered that Today’s Pet has a rehoming program that included fish, and I contacted them via email from their contact form online. I have never received a response via email or phone call and now have these fish in the back of my house in the bucket that I don’t want nor agreed to take. My next option is dropping the tote with fish off at Animal Control.

I was a loyal "Loyal Companion" customer...until they closed. I needed to find a place to get my cats the good food (Weruva) they're used to eating. I stumbled upon this store by accident (Thankfully!) Joe, one of the owners, was so helpful. I ended up spending well over an hour putting so many cans & packlettes of food into my basket. I had to drop one off at the register & start filling up another one. I told him he now had a new customer, and we both smiled! I highly recommend Todays Pet for all your feline & aviary needs.

Great pet store. They have reptile supplies including frozen feeders consistently. Also, great selection of dog treats and toys. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. We drive almost 20 minutes to Today's Pet instead of some other local stores.

Had solid experience with fish from their saltwater section. Staff is knowledgeable and pleasant to chat with, not high-pressure. Pets seem well cared for. Prices on SW fish match or beat petco most of the time.

Nice pet store feels more like a Mom and Pop store than a big chain store. Overall great place and staff. The fish department could use better options but I do love the selection of aquatic plants and the prices are not bad.

I haven't visited since dogs are no longer allowed to be sold in pet stores (this is a good thing), but I have to say that before this rule, I would visit Today's Pet often just to play with the dogs and I always had so much fun with the animals there. They seemed to be well cared for and the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly.
