I debated putting this up for a while but figured with the recent reviews and my similar experience I would share. I started taking my dog Loki here right before COVID. Care and service was great and the employees were kind. During COVID they began doing car visits which considering the circumstance I was glad this was an option in general. Although, the visits began seeming somewhat rushed and were very general when answering any questions. So when we were able to take our pets back inside for visits I was hoping to see this would change. Unfortunately it only continued to get worse from there. Any time you were to call to ask any questions about food, vitamins, general health, appointments, pricing, the staff became condescending and wouldn’t give clear cut answers. One of my biggest concerns was that my pets health was declining and they did not inform me. At our first in person visit after COVID I was told Loki had a history of periodontal disease, which was NEVER mentioned prior at any of his car visits. He gave me a very difficult time brushing his teeth, wouldn’t eat dental treats, drink water with breath freshener in it, so I gave up. But if I was informed that it could’ve led to him needing his teeth surgically removed I would’ve continued trying whatever necessary. Loki started losing his teeth and when I took him there to check if they had fallen out completely or if there was still root left, they couldn’t give me an answer. He started having issues later on with his eye that looked like it was bleeding in the iris and he lost vision in that eye. I took him in, nearly $600 later, they gave me eye drops and said to keep an eye on it. Little did I know this was the sign of something much larger. Loki started having seizures and was unable to keep control of his balance. Everything happened quickly and all at once, but I reached out to the vet frantically trying to get answers and the staff seemed like they couldn’t care less. Their main concern was informing me that they close at 4, I called at 12, and there isn’t anything they could do. I took him to an emergency vet where I was told he could have a brain tumor, has lost control of his limbs, and it would only continue to get worse from here. With his quality of life in mind, I made the hardest decision to put him down at only 7 years old. For his breed his life expectancy was 13-15 years. And while I know that the vet is not responsible for the death of my dog, I do know that their poor work ethic and lack of empathy led to his sooner demise and their carelessness only made the situation worse on me. As for my experience with the euthanasia and cremation this also was a very poor experience. Over the phone I was told there was a strict policy that only two people could be in the room. Which only added to my stress as now I had to choose who could be in the room with me, my mom or dad, both of which have been there since he was a puppy. When I arrived I asked the doctor and she allowed both of my parents in the room. So why was I told otherwise over the phone? Why cause the undue stress of making me believe I’ll have to choose between my parents who gets to be in the room? They had me pay for everything in the room which on one hand is nice so you don’t have to pay afterwards, but on the other hand reminds you of how greedy and money hungry this kind of business is. The doctor who did my dog’s euthanasia also left right afterwards. Kind of odd that they need a doctor to come in just to do one euthanasia? Or is that typical? A nurse was waiting right outside of the door after we left so it all felt very rushed and impersonal. All of this happened back in August, today would’ve been my boy’s 7th birthday. Whenever I do decide to welcome another fur baby into my home one thing I can guarantee is that I will NEVER be back here. And after years of poor experience and treatment, I suggest you find better care for your pets as well.

I actually want to give 0 stars!! I will never return to this vet. I called to make an appointment and prefer certain techs that are great with my dog who has extreme fear of the vet. Some of the other staff members including one of the vets are not friendly from my past experience. I was told very matter of fact that the techs were fired. I will not deal with the unfriendly staff that is left. This place is turning into a disaster. I still went because of Dr Han and the 2 techs. They will not get another penny from me and I will encourage others that I know to look elsewhere as well.

The staff was very effective in getting a timely appointment made for my pet. And, I was able to speak with the staff instead of leaving a message and waiting for a response. Communication has improved. The staff follows up with information from lab results. And, the veterinarians call to check up on the patient

I have used Main Street Vet since 2016 when I returned to Maryland with an aging shepherd/collie mix. The humidity here exacerbated my gentle dog’s pain and suffering and Dr, Molesoworth, bless his heart, was clear, compassionate, and direct in getting her the treatment she needed.When I finally had to put her down, his team truly stepped up. That dog meant the world to me and she had done absolutely nothing wrong, she just needed an end to her suffering. I and my dog were treated with respect, love, and tenderness during one of the most awful moments a person can experience.Even though Molesworth, and that bedside manner of a snapping turtle he had, passed the practice on, the excellent staff and medical team still treat me and my new pup right. Good practical medicine at an affordable rate. Exactly the kind of vet I want.(My Sookie girl and the new guy, Cannoli)

I took my PeekaPoo in for a follow up on her arthritis and her Rabies shot. The vet was though, kind, listened to my concerns and worked with me on options to treat my old girl. The front desk personnel seem much more friendly since our last visit and the charge was reasonable.Dr. Nabozmy has been working with me on pain management for my senior dog. She is very thorough, explains everything and gives me options to consider when changing or adding meds. She is very compassionate and considerate regarding cost of testing. She has not required “possible could be” type tests but lets me know what we might be facing in the future. She has brought me back to Main Street Vet hospital after we had looked elsewhere after it was sold.

This place use to be a really good place to take your pet to but lately management seem very condescending. I was told I couldn't pay my past bill and that they wouldn't be able to euthanize my baby girl who was diagnosed with cancer back in the beginning of Dec. I wanted to take her there because my other dogs were euthanized herr.

Dr. Jantz-Stephis and the rest of the staff at Main Street Veterinary Hospital have been great with our foster puppy, Chelsea. She's had an incredible amount of issues since she was rescued from a not good situation, and everyone at Main Street Veterinary Hospital has been so helpful & friendly, every step of the way, over the past few months. I would definitely recommend Dr. Jantz-Stephis and this veterinary hospital to anyone who wants great care for their pet(s).

Told me they would not see my pet. This is after I spent $800 dollars last year.They claim I had a bill I paid before I moved to Florida for 6 years.I'm not sure who this person is in billing but I hope they are treated the way they treat others. The respect for a veterans service dog shows their care.

Dr. Han is the best vet I have ever used and I’ve been an adult rescue pet owner for over 20 years. She extracted fluid from my dogs cyst and analyzed it on the spot to give me immediate results. She is exceptionally reasonable with her pricing and has wonderful bedside manner. We love her!

As soon as we arrived the tech took our dog back to give him his allergy shot. The visit was quick and efficient. Staff were friendly and helpful. I love the new online appointment scheduling and hope to be able to schedule allergy shot appointments online in the future.

Have dealt with Main Street with three different dogs. I love the place. They are genuine caregivers. I recently moved and got a new puppy, made the mistake of going to a new vet. BIG MISTAKE. I love the details, nothing is overlooked when caring for your pet and the Vets always follow up with a call. Better than a lot of “people” doctors‼️‼️‼️👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Atrocious record-keeping and communication. Online portal is outdated and the staff does not upload to it. Such poor communication that either my puppy never got her rabies shot and/or they just have no record of it, despite me pressing every appointment to see what shots are next and what did she receive this time and if she is up to date. The vet is nice but it just seems like there is a TOTAL disconnect between them and the front desk.

Love this place- affordable, friendly and they get it done when other vet clinics can't. Recently microchipped and updated all shots for my 5 month old Rottweiler who never leaves my side and has bad separation anxiety- their experienced staff led her into the clinic (we had to stay outside bc of COVID-19 precautions) and she didn't cry once! They came back out and said she was very well behaved the entire time. I wouldn't trust my baby with anyone else. They were also a huge help when my husband's 16 year old little terrier mix started having back to back seizures; turned out the had fluid buildup in his lungs and after treatment with 2 medications he was like new! Highly recommend this clinic for all your vet needs.

this used to be a very good vet hospital, now they simply care about making money. They did varying different treatments to my dog, not making in known to me until it was time to pay the bill. Additionally, the manager was extremely unprofessional and does not care about your pet’s well being.Dr. Judith Nabozny did different analysis even did not asked and total instead $300 dollars comes 561.93$The clinic ending up charging me for $561. After all these poor reviews why is she still the manager.P.SAfter all those reviews why she still manger ?!

I have been a customer for 50 fifty years. NO MORE! Took 4 days to get a problem resolved. Doctor never called me. Manager called me back on 4th day. Very condescending…. Do not care about pet concerns just there overpriced services since dr molsworth sold. Amazingly I learned so many customers left with similar bad experiences

This is a tough review because I think the vets and care are the best. But the prices are out of control, or I should say not nearly as affordable as before, but what is. I got a dog while I was in Florida, the vet where I had her checked out said the dental would be about $1,000-$1,200. I almost returned her because I wasn't going jump in knowing I'd have that kind of expense right off the bad. Called Dr. Molesworth's office and they told me the cost of their dental. I wasn't surprised that it was so much more affordable. Because of that, we kept the dog and she is great. Now, I have to balance the cost with care. Not trying to sound cruel, but as much as we love her, a dog is not a person. But, I want to go back and say that the care there is great. Main Street, I know you are under new and more corporate ownership, but you need to get back to your roots. Or, maybe enough people don't care what they pay so you're making your money and if people can't afford you, its fine if they go elsewhere.

My family has been going to this vet for years as it was affordable and offered quality care. I brought my two young cats for their first check ups in October 2021 and was charged a total of $201 for their exams and shots. I went in December 2022 for the same two young cats and was charged $334.92 for their visit and their annual shots. There is absolutely no reason for a $133 increase for Veterinary care for healthy young cats. When I asked the vet tech when their prices had increased she was unable to answer, when I looked on their website to check if there prices were posted and if I had missed them when I made the appointment, I could not find any prices posted anywhere. I trusted this Veterinary hospital to provide quality affordable care as it had done for my parents and my previous pets in years but I was instead taken advantage of. I understand that there is inflation and that there is a cost adjustment but this does not explain why a routine check up would increase in cost by 66%

I will NEVER use this vet again! The receptionist NEVER scheduled my appointment for my FRENCHIE’s c-section of ALL things and when I called to confirm a week in advance was crassly and condescendingly told there’s nothing they can do to help my situation. My dog could literally DIE during childbirth and they’re costing me TRIPLE the money 🤬. THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!

Dr. Nabozny and her Assistant who initially gather all of the information. She was very patient and showed she cared about Bella and all of her problems. Dr. Nabozny came back in to go over the different medicines with me to ensure I knew what and why she was prescribing certain medications to Bella. Not sure who called me on Wednesday day after Bella's appointment but the person was friendly and shared with me how she gets her dog to take. medicine as I shared Bella would not taking the medication.Thanks for caring!!!Yolanda (Bella's Mom)
