Food and just about everything are always right on. The only thing I would complain about is that the dollar bills all over the walls and everything it makes it look like a more of a dive bar than anything. It really takes away from the atmosphere and looks terrible. I really hope they change that very soon. looking past that, the food is excellent.I worked there from 1986-1993 and was a very fun place to work, I hope it still is!!

The service was great the crabs both the blue crabs and the snow crabs were horrible. The snow crab legs were rubbery and you could tell they have been sitting in a warner. The blue crabs were all paper shells with no meat. The total bill was 312.00 for three people. The best thing there was the fried chicken and corn on the cob the rest of the food was garage. I will not be returning to this restaurant

Casey was our server. She was everything a server should be. Attentive. Pleasant. Addressed the small issue we had immediately.We had great drinks and good times.The tiki bar is closed right now, which was why we went to this bar. But wound up having a fun time without tiki bar.Recommend a stop at the Red Roost.

This is the best place to go and experience the best of MD Eastern Shore eats. To be honest it's out in the middle of no where and without the Red Roost signs (and Waze!), I would have thought I was lost. But believe me it's worth it!The menu offers a lot of a la carte options but what a lot of people go for is the all you can eat crabs. I only stuck to the MD blue crabs and found them to be a good size and weight. You are also provided fried chicken, hush puppies, clam strips, french fries and sweet local corn. So if you leave hungry that is your own doing!They also have a waterfront bar. It's a great spot to just relax and take in the views. There's ample picnic tables out and even hammock swings. The only way to access it is thru their shuttle, which is an oversized golf cart that can fit about 5 people, so if it's a popular night or if you have a big party expect a little wait time.The people are also very pleasant and attentive. We had a large party where Courtney and Lisa took great care of us. Thanks Ladies!

I went here with high hopes from the reviews. I’m out here spending time with my mom so I decided to take her here and it was definitely less then what I expected.The crabs were small and the chicken was burned. The oil they fried it in definitely needed to be changed out. The hush puppies were ok and the breaded shrimp was good. I think the breaded shrimp was better then the crab honestly.All in all, I don’t plan on going back at all. I truly hope it’s just the crab season that made them small.

Once we got over the fear of being so far back in the woods, the food was off the chain! That’s means super excellent for those who may not understand!I especially loved the clam corn chowder! I gotta find out how I can get some shipped to me back in Atlanta! Yes, it was that good! I’d pay to have some FedEx’d to me!

Okay so I made reservations with my mother and my sister for 4pm as that's the time they open. All was good we got the all-you-can-eat crabs along with shrimp. And everything was great except for the main dish....of course I'm talking about the crabs! The crabs were very small and very water logged. We threw away a bunch of them away because they were just to watered down and didn't taste good. They were very small as well. But I do have to say our waitress Lilly was amazing! She was very on point and on top of everything we needed. She made our trip very good as nothing went empty and was checking on us with a smile many times. But the rest of the food was great! The steamed shrimp and fried shrimp was very good. But we came here for the crabs mostly. So we all were a little disappointed with that. So I'd say if you're looking for good crabs then maybe go elsewhere as I intend to do next time. For the price you pay the crabs should have been much better.

Food was absolutely wonderful- fried chicken is still the best my family has ever had. We drove 4 hours from VA to eat here and our son flew from a base in Colorado just to visit for the weekend that we had planned to come up here. The crabs were definitely a bit on the soggy side and lukewarm but other then that everything was wonderful

We decided to eat at a place we have never been to before & found this place on Google. It was tucked away in the middle of nowhere. Didn't even have cell phone service. We asked our waitress for her favorite dishes & ordered them plus a little extra. The food was good but hands down the fried chicken was the absolute best.

By far, my favorite Crab house on the eastern shore. Crabs are always fresh, sweet tea is to die for, the filler food is super tasty (when I actually eat some) and the waitress are always super friendly.Crabs: 90% of the time are big and or heavy, but are subject to seasonal issues like only small crabs are running, but its AUCE, so sure maybe 4 small crabs net you the same amount of meat as 2 big crabs you can sit and pick until your belly is gonna bust.Snow Crabs: Always had a sweet salty flavor, and are almost always a decent size. Ive been to many places where the Snows have almost no taste.Staff: Never had to wait for anything. They are always very prompt, and friendly. Bussers are always super wary of the tables being cleaned and re-papered.My only gripe about this place is Parking. Its a smaller parking lot that unfortunately also gets used for the Bull Lips Bar further down.Parking: Parking can get very limited.

Service was bad,order crabs they were very small. Not by chice.Then discovered due to we got there early like 3pm the crabs were smaller due they aren't that busy they move the smallest crabs and served them first. As we noticed that as they got busy 4.30 pm the crabs size changed. It took 25 minutes to get a diet coke. At the prices that they charge I would think they would Served 3.5 inches plus legal crabs 🦀 . I believe after speaking with our waitress she stated I picking the biggest ones . Will not return r recommend there just after your money.

Brad was our waiter last night and he is the absolute best!! Bradley was kind and did such a wonderful job. We were a party of 3 and the 3 of is got the all you can eat crabs and let me just tell you, WE WANTED FOR NOTHING!! He made sure that we were well taken care of! His personality is just one that you would never forget!! I have been going here since 2019 and I must say, he is my favorite waiter!!

Tonight we had the best experience that we have ever received at a restaurant!! Alexa L was our server and she was super attentive to my husband and I. Not only was she attentive to us, but she was also interactive with our toddler and went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of as well. We are so grateful for the wonderful service!!

Started going to the eastern shore crab houses in the mid 90's and then coming here in 2000, this is by far the best 👌 there is. After being away for the past 7 years from the east coast I had to make this part of the trip.While living in the California bay area and having crab on the menu I always refuse because I know it won't come close to the level of the red roost.So glad the quality here has never decreased.Parking: When you make the turn into the driveway, be sure to have your windows up, and don't waste times with your car doors open.Kid-friendliness: Our waitress was more then accommodating to our 2,4, and 7 year olds plethora of questions/comments. The kids loved it.

36 dollars for 5 small scallops!!! Overpriced. My friends had the rockfish platter that was the size of a chicken strip, and it was some 30 something dollars also. I guess you are stuck due to the fact that they are the only game in town. But I was not impressed and do not recommend.
