We were on a small town exploration trip when we stumbled on this gem. We were welcomed in with our dog. The cafe is small with a couch and three two top tables and a four top. There are a few tables outside on the street, but it was rather cool and windy so we opted to eat inside. It is full of local art work and had a fun and relaxed atmosphere.We ordered the chai latte which was so creamy and delicious, the spice level was perfect. To eat, we ordered the breakfast carnitas. I have to admit, it was the best taco I have ever eaten. The egg was a perfect over easy and the pork was so tender with a little crunch that blended beautifully with the egg and pico. The food was so good that we ordered a quart of beef stew to bring home.I highly recommend Cool Beans and cannot wait to visit again.

Absolutely love all of the breakfast choices at Cool Beans Sandwich & Coffee Shop in Port Deposit.Very unique and tasty choices and each one is delicious. The Og, The Larry, and the Carnitas are some of my favorites. Service is outstanding. Happened to be driving through Port Deposit at 7am one morning and saw their Open sign. Now its a weekly breakfast stop! Will be trying out their lunch options next.

Got to town a little early before going to the great wolf lodge so we stopped in for brunch. Their carnitas breakfast taco may have been one of our favorite things we had while we were in the area!

This place has that small town charm that you would find in the middle of nowhere. Such friendly people and and quick service. We had just ate lunch and wished we would've stopped in prior to try a breakfast sandwich which sound amazing, so we will definitely be back to do so. The coffee was great, the prices are what you would expect from a ma and pa place. When you support local, this should be of no surprise. The coffee was great, as was the Latte. My daughter was given a mocha peanutbutter drizzle frappe (coffee free) which was super nice and she truly enjoyed it, we tasted it as well and it was yummy.

Wife ordered smashburger. She doesn't eat burgers nearly at all just doesn't. I fought her for a small bite, Very delicious, don't ruin it with condiments. Gone in 90 seconds.I ordered pork carnitas, my goodness good with Pico de Gallo, smashburger won by small margin.Small and perfectly size indoor seating with outdoor available. Do not miss this Gem!

Small town coffee shop with great coffee and a delicious variety of breakfast sandwiches. Limited seating, so plan to eat outside or consider ordering to go. We were staying at great wolf lodge and it was great to get away, sit outside, and enjoy delicious coffee and food. Could also easily order for take out and bring back to great wolf for your whole pack to eat!

It seems like there haven’t been many recent reviews of this place and I’m wondering if something has changed. We were passing through and needed coffee and breakfast and this was the only option in the area. We were excited to try somewhere local. The tables were full of people drinking coffee and it seemed like everyone knew each other which was sweet. We got a cold brew, drip coffee and two breakfast sandwiches which you wouldn’t think would take long.. we were the only people waiting on food. My cold brew came out first, turns out the drip coffee is kept in a carafe and is self-serve which we finally asked about after waiting a while. We shuffled around the tiny shop as we waited trying to not be in anyone’s way but the space is small and again there were just a number of people mingling. Our breakfast sandwiches finally came out (why it took so long as no one else was waiting on food I don’t know) and my husband’s was slightly burnt all over. My eggs were over cooked on the edges but the yolks were still soft and chalky. Maybe it’s new staff for the summer or something? I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt but we did not have a good experience.

The place doesn't look like much, but the coffee and the breakfast sandwiches were excellent and tasty. We had the Scott ( egg, bacon on a croissant). The coffee was surprisingly good. Reasonable prices and friendly service.

I definitely have to say I love this place. They are so nice. I have been getting iced tea with almond flavoring in it and honestly it’s amazing. Today I actually caught them there and they are closed and I called them to see if they could make me my tea, I work across the street at D’Lorenzo’s and love going over there! Thank you cool beans employees for making me my tea today. ❤️❤️

Went in expecting to get just an orange juice, but got the best 3 egg sandwich with cheese and turkey sausage on a bagel. And 3 sunny Ds. The owner Jack is awesome and takes care of his customers. No matter how far you are, it is worth the trip! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed! Btw he even had Texas Pete hot sauce I added to the sandwich. Wish I could properly rate this business but I'm limited to just 5 stars. If I had to quantify the rating correctly it would truly be infinite stars!

Best breakfast sandwiches I ever had, and reminiscent of a good, hearty, deli/diner sandwich of New Jersey and/or New York area. Outstanding espresso and coffee as well. I wish I still lived across the street.Edit: I've also ordered some large cold brew coffee the past 2 weekends. They make the coffee fresh and to your liking. I will likely be returning for unforeseeable weekends to come.

My husband and I have eaten there and have purchased various items there frequently. We have always been more that pleased. The owners and other employees are warm and friendly and very eager to make our food just as we order. Small quaint Coffee shop on Main Street, Port Deposit, MD..... we both decided to get the "Undecided breakfast sandwiches", which turned out to be truely awesome because they were packed with sausage, bacon, eggs and cheese on your choice of bread.The Husband and Wife team seemed to enjoy helping other members of the community who stopped by with their dogs for the 'dog cups' of whipped cream....lol !

I highly recommend this little addition to Port Deposit! The people here couldn't be more friendly and they have a huge desire to contribute to the community around the area.Coffee is excellent and they care about their customers. I couldn't be happier that this place opened along one of my normal commute routes!

Such a cute place. They really do so much for the community - they're amazing here! Plus, you can't beat the coffee here. If you're not into caffeine you should try the hot chocolate, it's AMAZING
