We took a drive for some lunch, usually it would be our biking stop but it was a bit windy today. The food, owner, and environment are all wonderful. I highly recommend this location if you are looking for a quick lunch with a friendly environment.We ordered the spicy select wig bacon, chipotle chicken wrap and the k2 dog. Everything was delicious, we will absolutely keep coming back.

Everything we've eaten at K2 has been phenomenal. They offer a good variety, the service is terrific, and it is nice getting to know the family behind the delicious food. The owners give so much care to dietary restrictions while not compromising on flavor. Well worth the drive and we hope to see you expand to our neighborhood! We will be back again soon!

I really want to like this place because it's so close to me and I need a place to go when Locals is closed (hey Locals, please be open more often), but I just can't because I'm a coffee snob. Their latte tastes like burnt milk and low quality and/or over-roasted coffee. I tried it on two different occasions just to confirm that it wasn't a one-off bad latte, and it tasted the same both times. The food is fine.I totally understand that I'm not the average person when it comes to coffee, so this is a me problem. If you usually make your morning coffee using Folgers and a drip machine, you will enjoy the coffee here. It's just not for me.

I frequent this place often and love all the different options available! Desserts are always so delicious and colorful and the food is flavorful and worth the price! The tandoori chicken bowl is so good I could eat it every day if I could (and just might get close to doing so!) Love K2!

We come here for breakfast nearly every Sunday with our kids. The breakfast wraps are our go-tos (my husband loves the K2 Spicy Wrap) but the crogels are a must try, too! Lattes and dirty chai lattes are also very tasty. The food is not "fast" but made to order with care, which can take a few minutes especially if they're busy. Be patient - it's worth the wait!Several little table top toys for kids to play with, which keeps our 3 year old entertained. Also a water fountain/dispenser which seems popular with cyclists on their way through the area.

There are two great food establishments in Poolesville. One is Locals which is a restaurant. The other is K2 Cafe. Both are excellent. I often stop at K2 Cafe to get a sandwich - in my case - usually a bagel with cream cheese and salmon - perfect for my lunch and made with care by Nicole. Walking in to the store Ashar always greets me with a friendly smile and a 'how are you'? This makes me feel welcome. My son has ordered the Chicken Tikka and loved it too. We will be back often.Parking: Large parking lot in front of store.Kid-friendliness: Lots of high school kids stop by for snacks.

I stopped at the K2 Cafe for a cup of coffee this afternoon because it has the best cup of coffee in town. I decided to try the Chicken Curry. It was a generous portion, including rice and naan. It was delicious! It starts sweet and finishes with a comfortable kick. It is not a traditional Pakistani curry, and the story behind the recipe is excellent. Stop in and try it, and maybe Nichole or Ashar will share the story.The only thing better than the curry is the atmosphere. I always feel that I am among friends, staff, and patrons alike.

One of our all time favorite places to grab a meal. My two sons who are one and three adore K2 and so do I. Great food that’s diverse and healthy and great atmosphere that’s friendly and welcoming. Whether it’s baked goods, tandoori chicken, chai tea, or banana smoothie, the food is fresh and authentic. Art hangs on the walls from local artists and you can purchase it right with your meal if you want to. Toys are always out for the little ones and there are plenty of spots to lounge. Love it.

We ended up here at K2 based on great reviews on our way to hike the Sugarloaf Mountain.K2 did not disappoint. We had the spicy egg & cheese wrap and the toasted bagel, and Chai Latte. Loved it!The owner couple were great. We will come back for more and highly recommended!

I am not from the area, but I was in the area doing some work and stumbled upon this little cafe. It was lunch time so I decided to go in and grab a bite. It is a nice, quaint little cafe with a warm atmosphere. The staff was friendly and the food was very good. If I get back to the area I would definitely stop in again

Service that went above and beyond expectations at a recent pit stop that turned into a long rain delay. My friend and I stopped by K2 for our usual drink and snack on a recent bike ride. We usually stop by K2 for the fresh baked snacks and drinks. It started pouring outside and we were getting up the courage to ride back since they were getting ready to close. The owner insisted we could stay sheltered as long as needed. We waited out the storm on the gym side while they closed the cafe and went home. The rain passed a while later and we made it home. We are so fortunate to have such kind people looking out for us.

We arrived just before a large number of cyclists came in. Placed a takeout order for a bowl and a wrap. Unfortunately, our order was ignored while the staff waited on the cyclists. After 15 minutes when we asked about our order it hadn't been started. We waited and were very disappointed with the food too. The bowl had no rice and about 1/2 cup of chickpeas. No seasoning not even salt. They seemed short staffed which is difficult but the poor food is not ok. Overall really disappointed.UPDATE - the owners response was much appreciated and without us asking, our money was refunded to our credit card. In my opinion, this shows a respect for customers not often seen these days. So I updated my review to 2 stars. If we return for another meal and it is better, I will amend again.

Came here with my girlfriend and had the vegan protein bowl and chickpea bowl with a vegan protein smoothie. Everyone was so nice even though they were slammed with costumers. Great customer service and the food was delicious. The fact that it shares a space with a gym and is cyclist friendly makes it a heavenly bonus.

This is my FAVORITE place! I get my coffee here everyday because it’s the best coffee I’ve ever had, and it’s locally roasted. It’s a “treat” to see what they have in the dessert case each day. This week I tried the chicken curry, and it was to die for - tender chicken in sauce that was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. The staff is so friendly too.

I love this place and am craving more of its food as I write about it! I usually get the egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant, and it is spectacular. I also highly recommend the spicy chicken wrap, which tastes better each time I get it! If you have a sweet tooth, you are in luck because K2 has a consistently fantastic baked goods and pastry selection (not to mention the delicious mango lassi)!
