Even if you get the rooms for free don’t gooo!! First we got the room keys and the room was still dirty. Never mind, we were moved to another room. The bathtub was stinky, bed sheets had stains, the floor was sticky. We left the room at 2 am. We honestly took the room as we were in the area and needed a room to stay but made a big big mistake. Again do not take the room, sleep in your vehicle but don’t take the room.

It’s a pretty chill here and the people who work here and pretty chill and we can get free coffee and then have breakfast bed are decently comfortable over all not a bad place to stay and the location is good cuz the town is only a few miles up the roadRooms: There’s single rooms double rooms and and if u have a big family u want to bring along there are rooms for there as wellSafety: Everything here is perfectly safe!Walkability: The rooms are a decent size and you’ll be able to walk around easily!Noteworthy details: Some rooms don’t have got water and the rooms do get pretty dirty easily but that’s normal!

My stay was awesome aside from heater not working probably just a fluke the maintenance man was awesome atmosphere was quiet and low key perfect when all you wanna do is relax the rooms we're clean and to top it all of NO BUGS NOT ONE NO ROACH NO BED BUGS NOT EVEN DID I SEE A SPIDER.... Also water temp and pressure from shower was amazing

I stayed at the hotel for a couple of days with my kids just to get away from home for awhile. The water in the tub gets super hot had to run the water for my kids but I loved it and the joined room that I had made it easy for me cause my kids had a room and so did I but at least it was right where I was able to see them and have access to themRooms: The beds are comfortable

Very rarely do I leave reviews, but this I feel required one. Despite the front counter person being very friendly, this place was disgusting and awful. When I got there, the lobby had a literal colony of ants crawling across the door saddle. When you make it through that, the lobby was dirty and had multiple things broken. At this point I was hesitant to even look at the room, but it was after 12 and I need a place to stay with my family. I went into the room and immediately smelt the mold. I looked to the right wall, next to the bed and saw the wall paper peeling. I looked at it closer and saw black mold. I went back and asked for a refund, which I didn't realize was the non refundable. He tried to show me another room but one the way there, there was some hand naked person and another creep in an outfit that made me just turn around and leave. I understand that this kind of place is meant to be a cheap stay, but this place should just be condemned by the towns local building inspector.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!Okay the guy at the front counter was very nice and friendly but other than that this place is a hell hole! I should’ve turned around after seeing the lobby because there was ants everywhere and the lobby smelled like old cigarettes. But we got the room and went and checked it out. I’m glad we didn’t take our bags in or we probably would’ve ours have ended up with bed bugs. The room was dirty, smelled like old cigarettes and mildew. The AC was off in the room, I dont know if it even worked. There was stains on the pillows and couch cushions. There was little bugs on the couch cushions, I’m surprised I didn’t see roaches crawling. The bathroom didn’t even look like it had been cleaned and it smaller like sewer.

Got two rooms here. The first room 112,was locked from the inside, idk how that happens since there's no key hole on the door. Second room 111, as soon as you open the door, the smell of mildew just pours out. Told the person on duty claimed it was the smell of the cleaner. Got new rooms, was in 106, it was fine to begin with but after air started to flow it reaked of mildew. I think they have an issue with the vents that hasn't been taken care of from the other reviews I've readIf you want a clean floor, bathroom, or have allergies, keep driving.Edit: the beds are warn out. My body's still hurting 4 hours after leaving.

Blood stained blanket, dirty paw prints on bedding, mold on bathroom ceiling, splattered substance on walls, bleached bed throw, room smelled like an old cleaning closet, overall dirty room/facility. Not sure if these other reviews are supposed to be for a different Econolodge, or maybe the run down motel across the street. But I've stayed at this hotel a plethora of times and have never experienced any of these problems that others are claiming. Would highly recommend staying here, and don't worry about these nonsense negative reviews.Rooms: The rooms are spacious, cleaned, and well maintained. If something breaks, they are quick to get it taken care of. They are also renovating rooms 1 by 1 and they come out looking fantastic.Nearby activities: Plenty to do nearby. Whether it be in town activities, or the beaches close by.Safety: Doors have multiple, functional, locks. Also the lights give plenty off to see anything going on within the property.

This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in. When we walked in there was so many flies and it smelled like harsh chemicals. The ac doesn't even work! The walls are splattered with blood! The bed? BROKEN! I couldn't even eat a snack in there because it just felt so nasty in there. There's pink mold in the tub and didn't provide new toilet paper. They left the previous persons toilet paper!!! for the price, just go across and go to holiday inn. I'm surprised there's no roaches but who knows there's a possibility they're in other rooms.

You can do better.I’ll start by saying something nice. The front desk guy was pleasant.That said, the pleasantness stopped when I opened the door to the room.I checked in at 1AM and slept in my car from 2-5:30 because I was so overwhelmed with the terrible condition of the room. Didn’t want to catch bed bugs, lice, black lung, HEPs A through C or any other communicable diseases or parasites that likely lurked in there.I do housing inspections (HQS) for homeless veterans prior to their move in. I would have failed this place based on air quality alone.The room smelled musty and clearly had water damage in the (recent) past. I pulled a slug off the wall. Not a shotgun slug like you’d expect while staying in a place like this, but an actual slimey slug that seeks out a humid environment.The same walls were splattered in an unknown substance that was wasn’t paint. The wallpaper was stapled up to conceal the peeling due to the aforementioned water damage and moisture in the air.10/10 times in the future I will drive past this place and sleep in a ditch while I wait for the EMTs to arrive. Never again.This place should be closed, plain simple. The reply from management has been laughable, and I expect the reply on here to be the same.

DON'T STAY HERE! The room #117 smelled like mold and cigarettes. The sheets smelled old and moldy.The floor was so dirty I had to wash my feet before putting on my shoes.Didn't take a shower because the tub and fixtures were so disgusting.Also, the quilt on my bed was torn and the stuffing was coming out.Could not sleep, couldn't wait to get out of there.Two days later the clothes I slept in still smelled of the room... mold and cigarettes!You can tell this room (bedding) has not been cleaned or used for awhile.It's a shame that that this motel is so bad because it's in a great location right off the highway and close to Chincoteague. :-(

Priyank, the GM, was fantastic. He was so personable and gave us so many recommendations of things to do as out-of-towners. He was very funny too! He made sure we were comfortable not only physically, but emotionally too. We immediately felt relaxed and like we were fully welcomed. The room was just what we needed, the water pressure was great! Beds comfy, comfy pillows, cold AC. Breakfast was good and an easy meal right away in the mornings. The hotel was quiet and it seemed like everyone was happy!Thank you Priyank and staff for an easy and welcoming stay.The Wolfes

We feel our stay was satisfactory. The room was fairly updated ( old bathroom and fixtures), but the floor was newly renovated , the bed was clean and comfortable. The room was warm when we walked in and didn't take long to get it to the right temp. My husband made the reservations over the phone, it was quick and easy. The front desk manager was friendly and informative. My only issue was we were assigned a room way at the back of the hotel and it was pitch black and no outside lights. I didn't like that.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I can't believe they even charge people to stay here. I felt dirty the whole time and couldn't wait to leave. There wasn't even a trash can in the room. I made the mistake & opened the fridge to put a a bottle of water inside 🤮🤮 Not sure it was ever cleaned out it smelled so bad. I know there's not a lot of choices around but don't stay here!!!!!!

I'm giving five stars down the row on our experience and here is why.The value is unbeatable. I believe I paid under $100 for a clean room with a king bed!When you open the door I believe you will see more than you expected just as we did.It's not the Taj Mahal by any means however it's beyond the dollar for sure so If you are in the road and need a place to stay this is the perfect Motel!

Rooms were clean, however the bathroom had stains in the tub by the drain. Breakfast was not what they suggested. I went there they had a waffle maker, milk, bread, and apples. They need to put more lights outside when it’s dark. The Wi-Fi was fading in and out, sometimes it shut off all together. And the TV was not working some of the time. and water was turned off without any warning. Card key would not work. Had to get a new one and sometimes it did not work either. Did not give a receipt upon checking out.

Made a reservation online place looked decent. Arrived got our key went in room and it stunk so bad... checked the bed the beds are disgusting. The blankets and sheets had dirty and stains on them. The sight glass hole in the door had toilet paper in it. The toilet still had pee in it from someone absolutely discusting place. Went right back to office sayed they would give a refund. The 3rd party that we made a reservation thru said the Manger denied our refund even tho we did not stay here. BE AWARE THEY WILL TAKE YOU MONEY. THIS PLACE IS NASTYY!

The front desk manager was the sweetest most attentive man ever, I didn’t catch his name but he was a middle aged black man, whoever he is he needs a raise. He quickly checked us in and gave us keys to our room but the door was ajar upon entering we found multiple bugs that made their way in from the open door. So we got another room which smelled like mildew, we told the front desk man both times and he was so kind and apologetic. We ended up getting a room after about a half an hour or so of being there. The cleaning staff and owners need to do a better job of keeping track of their rooms and keeping them clean.
