Just bought a bike here and had one of the best experiences! Both guys who helped me out were super knowledgeable, and also gave me a heck of a deal on a "Suicidal Ripper". Can't wait to cruise at the beach on this sweet bike! Highly recommend, and will certainty be back for any future needs.

This bike store is awesome !!! The staff is very knowledgeable. They have never talked down to a customer every time I've been in the store waiting my turn. I believe every tech and the owner have ridin bikes since they were like 1 year old. The service is excellent. Very kind, and respect the customer like their own. Go there, get stuff, get educated...

Bernie, the shop owner is the most skilled, dexterous and quick bicycle mechanic/technician that I've come across in over 30 years of bike ownership.His prices on parts are just downright cheap. In most cases if you check the price of an item in his store on Amazon, the price will almost always be the same or lower at Pikesville Bike Shop.The only possible complaint I can think of is regarding the store hours. It would be nice if they would stay open later, but that's not enough of a problem for me to take a star off. Pikesville Bike Shop is a five-star establishment, and I consider myself extremely lucky as a cyclist to have such a great shop so close to me.

Awesome owners! Wasn't able to make it into the shop, but I met Bernie and Penny at Baltimore's bike swap and they hooked me up! Not only did they give a great bike at a fair price, they also followed up with a home visit to tune the bike because they didn't have a tool at the swap. Friendly people and great service!

I couldn't be happier with the service I received at the Pikesville Bike Shop. Bernie found me an amazing bike in my price range and had it delivered, built, and tuned for me in 24 hours. The bike fits me perfectly and I got everything I need to get into road bicycling from the shop. Bernie taught me everything I need to know about my new bike and was happy to answer my many questions. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking to purchase a new bike.

Bernie and his staff are top flight. Bernie is quiet, polite, and responsible. Follows through with his commitments and does good by his customers. He'll go out of his way to make sure his customers are happy. I recently asked him to set aside two bike boxes for my son's bike trip to Europe. He made sure the boxes were solid and the right size. May seem like a small thing, but, that's how you stay in business. A nice selection of bikes and know their stuff. Highly recommended.

Love the services that I got done. Ms. Penny, Mr. Bernie, and Mr. Jumah are some of the most helpful people I’ve met. They did the upmost to make sure I was satisfied. I bought an ebike from another company and while putting the bike together I stripped the left crank arm so I took the crank arm to pikesville bike shop to see if they had any similar ones in stock. Unfortunately the type of crank arm used on the bike I bought is an older style crank arm so it was hard to find that style. All three of them tried to find that type crank arm and also called the company I got it from to see what could be done, the company I got it from wasn’t any help. I really appreciated them trying to find the crank arm for me in anyway and when I thought there wasn’t any hope. They referred me to another bike shop to get a helicoil and I was finally able to use the ebike. I would definitely recommend if you live near this bike shop and need work on your bike go to this bike shop, they are very helpful and knowledgeable.

I can't speak on the quality of the bikes but I will say the owner was quite rude and condescending. I had to pull information out of him and I sensed that he didn't want to provide any service to me. Maybe he only wants to deal with a certain type of clientele. He mentioned several times that he was short onmountain bikes and when I asked why was that. He said "because we are in a pandemic you know the reason why we have masks on our faces right now".. it was just so rude and condescending unnecessarily. Of course I figured that could be the reason but let me ask the expert. I'm super disappointed because this place came highly recommended. Considering how much money I'm willing to invest in a bike I expect better service. I may not be an avid bike rider yet but I would rather spend my money where it will be appreciated.

This place is awesome! Great prices and helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff! Also great social distancing protocols are in place. Only 1 or 2 people allowed in store at once. I felt very safe going here to get a new tire for my bike. I'm glad that i remembered this store was here while I was in the area.

I'm new to cycling and I purchased a used mountain bike to get started. I called this shop to have a tune up done on the bike and possibly some upgrades but was told "they don't work on mongoose bikes". I've upgraded my bike but will never use this shop for anything now which is unfortunate because it's the closest shop near my house.

Great staff, very detail oriented and what's very important to me, honest! They helped me pick my bike, measure me and get the right accessories for the bike. Afterwords, they tuned it and adjusted the saddle plus couple of other things after the first 200-300 miles.

Polite, professional, helpful, knowledgeable. You never feel pushed to purchase. Left a generator hub and a rim to make it a commuter wheel, picked it up next day. Other shops needed a week to build it for me. Labor fee is the most affordable in Baltimore. (I tired at least five shops before I found Bernie's place) I supplied a frame and all parts for a new built bike: total cost $75. He made three modifications free of charge before the assembly was final.

This is the best bike shop I have been to in the whole of Baltimore. The staff is very friendly, and, while tuning up your bike, acts like it is their own. I (and my family) has so far bought 3 bikes from the,m. The first was a Opus commuter bike, still being used in the family over the streets in Montreal. The second was bought for my older brother, a Haro Flightline. Once again, still being used and works GREAT. This particular Haro has already crashed into a concrete pillar at 25 MPH with a 200 pound rider on it. It was also hit by a car while my brother was riding it. Pikesville Bike Shop was able to fix it up all times. Third, we bought a Fuji Nevada 1.9. I daily ride it and it is an awesome bike. We also recommended a friend to Pikesville bikeshop and we have only heard good things from his experiences.Also, we brought in a vintage Lotus bike we got from our uncle, and he fixed it up and, after this bike ran into complications, he fixed it up, once again and we have not had trouble since. We are soon going to bring in a new bike we found on craigslist (a 1988 Cannondale) and see what he can do for us. I will update the review then.

When we walked in yesterday, we were approached by one of the most condescending salesperson's I've ever had to deal with. This older, plump, gray haired man with glasses was rude and talked down to us the entire time. My husband is an experienced mountain bike rider and wanted to buy our teenage son his first mountain bike. They had a very good deal on a demo bike that we were going to purchase but this guy insisted that if our son wasn't experienced that he shouldn't buy that bike because its not meant to be ridden in a neighborhood. We told him there are trails within a quarter mile of the house and he proceeded to ask us if we knew the difference between trails and paths. We are not idiots and did not appreciate being treated as such. We decided not to buy from this guy because we refused to give him our money. He also belitted his employee in front of us. Avoid this place.

I purchased a Surly Moonlander fat bike from Pikesville Bike Shop back in Aug 13. Bernie is very easy to work with and was very patient with the myriad of questions I had. It's nice to have a bike shop nearby with an owner who knows what they're doing.

I bought my bike from the bike shop back in late summer and the service was fantactic. The owner adjusted the breaks and the seat for me and gave me a one on one lesson on bike gears. I will definitely go back next summer to purchase a bike for my daughter.
