16 year customer and in the past year I’ve experienced horrible customer service. Anytime a customer requires assistance the staff either cops an attitude, makes excuses or straight ignores you. I’ve not only had this happened to me but have been a witness to others as well. Disappointing that Safeway allows this and glad there is another grocery store less than a mile away.

Friendly people work there, it has a great layout... Not too cluttered. Awesome florist!I appreciate the recently added self-checkout stations, but miss chatting the kind staff.Inside there is an epic Starbucks, where you can get a perfect espresso. A perfect place to catch up with an old friend!

iv been gone to this store for over 20 years n recently iv noticed one cashier on Saturday n sundays or the most busy day of the week...one cashier??i dont know her name but very nice well mannered girl but anyways i hope this isn't because the manager in charge gets a better bonus or something who know but this i believe is why they cant keep employees..

Nice kids and staff. Good managers. Produce could be better. The young man Angelo is probably the most polite young man I have ever met. Most kids are just so rude nowadays. Overall, great experience every time.

The same girl who seems to work at night at Starbucks. She’s young and has red curly hair. Always has an attitude and the last several times I’ve been in, she’s made me stand there for at least 3-5 mins while she continues to clean. I’m in the customer service industry and have been for over 10 years. I would NEVER make someone wait while I am doing something that I can finish once the customer leaves. Very poor service. Everyone else who works there is amazing! This girl definitely seems like she hates her job and that’s sad. I only come here if I absolutely must or I know other people are working.

2 stars because of the deli. The current deli worker is awful. Not polite and definitely not experienced. The deli has been a disaster for a couple of years, but it is now worse than a disaster…it is like a tsunami and a volcanic fire happening at the same time in the same town. The last time I ordered meat, the young man working the deli forgot to take the plastic wrapping off of the meat that I ate. I choked and then almost barfed because I was absolutely disgusted. Picture attached. Have fun at the deli!

Safeway staff at this shopping center have always been amazing. They know my family as regulars and are always visible at different points in the store. I'm consistently satisfied with the number of options and quality of products we choose from Safeway.

Please fix the ditch out front!!! Everyone gets stuck there as youre leaving. All it takes is a tiny bit of pavement. Years later......Love the staff. The managers are very thoughtful. Mike deserves a bonus he is nice and has been there so long.Took one star off for the bad organic fruit and veg selection which is a corporate issue - its always bad or spoiling.Starbucks girls and boy are nice too. They make better drinks than the real starbucks locations.Please fix the ditch!!!

Horrible store! 9am and no registers open, not a single person to help with a large carload of heavy goods and the single most ignorant girl leaning and lounging at the self checkout, horribly rude!! No help, disgusting store, meat dept filthy and not a single person to help a disabled person check out. Everyone at this store should be fired, especially the manager. Safeway should be embarrassed at the conditions here and the pathetic employees. I had to leave and walk away, several ofthers did as well. Absolutely horrible place!!

This has to be the friendliest Safeway I have ever been in. It’s wonderful. Super clean and even nicer people. This is how it’s suppose to be. My hat is off to everyone that works their for their outstanding customer service.

This store is disgusting to say the least. Filthy, rotten, dirty meat dept that should be shut down. It's gross!The employees are rude, ignorant, unprofessional and look as Filthy as the store itself.This store should be closed asap!

The Safeway on York Rd in Towson SEEMS to have diminished. I don't know if it's me or this store but they often don't have things in stock. The baked goods have gone downhill because again, often pretty sparse & the muffins/pound cake (my fave) almost never seem to have chocolate. Perhaps chocolate & chocolate chips have risen in price enough to avoid using it or maybe it's supply chain issues (this is written Dec 2022), I don't know. However.....The Jacksonville store, smaller & several times more distant, is superb. Due to size, they sometimes don't carry items but the staff (seems there are more at this store) is OUTSTANDING! Always ready to help, offer suggestions of alternatives & just more available/approachable. Towson's people are great but always VERY busy & therefore hard to find. Jacksonville gets 4½ stars!

Easy to park, they have a Starbucks which I love as well. The store seems to have rearranged things and modernized. It looks good. Like all stores come every time you go you are amazed at how much things cost now! Lots of self check out lanes added now

Mixed bag of people and products. Most of the staff are fantastic, some not so much. Same with the stuff they stock. Produce is great, as is fresh meat quality. They have the best quality of things in floral department that I've ever seen. Unfortunately watch expiration dates on things that have them, as they don't do any checking and will sell things horribly out of date. When things are out of stock, it can take weeks to see them again. I shop here, and really like most of the people employed here as they work hard and are exceptionally nice.

I find the prices more expensive than the other grocery stores around unless they are having a sale. But they do have the best homemade soups and make the best sandwiches to order. Their lobster bisque is the best that I have ever tasted and that is saying something for a supermarket. I don’t like Starbucks coffee so that isn’t a draw for me.

Grocery shopping here is always a "feel good" experience for me! I can always find what I'm looking for from specialty dog food to gourmet cheesecake. They have organic veggies as well as gluten-free foods. There is also a great selection of gift cards to buy. I stop by the Starbucks which is located inside the store and do my shopping with a latte in hand.

The manager is always rude and blunt. Poor customer service. It took for me to ask to be checked out at the counter for him to get more help up to the front. The lines were going around the frozen section. I’d like to also say How nice the gentleman who works in diary is. He is always smiling friendly, wants to help. Thank you sir for your kindness it does not go unnoticed.

Wow how things have changed. The store is very clean and stocked but at checkout the prices came out wrong and the young poorly trained staff member was clueless. Hope this is just holiday help. Sad to see things go downhill.

It’s me again. Penny. I spent my last ones on my groceries. Pizza pie. Pepperoni. The deli floor is slick as my reptilian queen. Elizabeth reign forever. Sprinkle on the pancakes. Baltimore sanitation service is failing at their job. Gary is the leader and he is actually a woman. Bruce Jenner. Once apon a time, in a land far away, Safeway was sad. They no longer are- for I am security. Automatic sliding glass door at exit. I parked in Walgreens storage room next to the pollution.

I ordered groceries online through their app, twice. The first one went with a little hiccup but nothing serious. The second one however, was. I got a text message saying my order was cancelled without further explanation as to why and I was still billed for that. I got ahold of their customer service representative online and explained. She said it will take 5-7 days for the refund to process. That’s a lot longer than the time it took them to take my money. When I get my refund I won’t be shopping from their store anymore. They just lost my business. I love their stores. I have had good experiences in the past but this is inexcusable.

This Safeway is really a mixed bag. On the one hand, their produce, meat and seafood departments are the best in the area, with good prices and very good quality, mostly staffed by some really nice people. On the other hand, the rest of the store leaves something to be desired...high prices, empty shelves for items on sale and they have a real problem carrying products past their sell date. I've learned to check items before purchasing (today I noticed a product with a sell-by date over 19 days "old"). I tend to shop for the meat & produce, but leave the other items for other stores.

Clean and a great variety of gluten free and natural products not cheap either, but as much as Giant and Shoprite. Not very many employees working. I like this store because its clean and not very busy. They also have better customer service than Shoprite, especially when it comes to coupons and rainchecks. I will continue to shop here. Love the extended hours!

I've been away from Jacksonville for 20 years. It's nice to see that the anchor stores and shops are still around. I always liked Safeway and the changes I saw were all for the better. Good quality, good prices and pleasant staff.
