Holly Tree Stables is the most compassionate farm I have ever known. It is family owned and operated and they have been a blessing to my life. I’ve watched them bring horses back from the brink of death and rehabilitate all kinds of animals. The horses know their loved and valued here. Actually all the animals here know they’re loved! And the girl that sometimes mows the fields is pretty cool too!

Bleu is a 17.1 hh Appendix with high withers, massive shoulders and a wide back. He’s very sensitive and will not hesitate to let you know, in no uncertain terms, when he’s uncomfortable. After a few saddle changes & some difficult under saddle behavior, my trainer suggested having Amber out to assess his newest saddle’s fit. I explained what was happening to Amber and she quickly scheduled a time to come out. After she performed some hands-on assessment with & without his saddle on, asked some questions and made some adjustments he was a different horse. The difference in his way of going was unbelievable! So much so that on his last go-round, when he realized his saddle wasn’t wrenching his MASSIVE shoulder anymore I was so in shock watching him extend & float around the ring, that I completely forgot to video it as I tried not to cry!I could not recommend Amber more! She was fantastic and explained every single thing as we went along. Bleu can be testy with strangers, but Amber quickly gained his friendship. Amber is very educated and provides a unique experience! She will shop consignment saddles and bring to your appointment as well as consign any tack you have. My horse was happy I booked, no more refusals at jumps or short stride. I highly recommend

Amber is the real deal when it comes to looking after the horse’s welfare. She has a holistic view of saddle fitting: anatomy of the horse’s body, the saddle’s positioning/padding & the rider’s balance. Her digital saddle assists her fine tune her adjustments. Working with flocking and pads she can do wonders! Gracie is built downhill and Star is sway back so she had plenty to work with. Thank you Amber for coming to our barn and helping all of us out. We have had two saddle fittings done on two horses by Amber Cash . The communication while scheduling was excellent. She brought quite a few saddles to try. She is budget conscious and realistic. She uses a pressure pad under the saddle and uses Bluetooth and her phone to measure relative pressure while a rider is on the horse at different gaits. That, combined with watching the horse move, gives her a picture of how the saddle feels to the horse. She explained everything she was doing, answered all our questions, and seemed happy to educate my daughter and me about saddle fitting, which I loved. In the end, she made the saddle I was using work very well by using shims in a way I hadn’t thought of. She had recommendations for the other horse and showed that one of the saddles we had been using was not a good fit for that horse. She then advised us what to look for when we are saddle shopping for that horse and rider.Amber is passionate about keeping horses healthy and comfortable in their saddles. She is not affiliated with any brands and scours consignment stores for the best deals on used saddles that will work for her clients. I would recommend her services.

My girls and I have had the opportunity to spend many hours at Holly Tree Stables. I love that they are learning about all aspects of horse care from the ground up. Oh, wow, this was a space age saddle fitting experience with real-time feedback! This takes the guesswork out of our saddle fittings!I feel lucky to have found Amber Cash. She is the only saddle fitter in the United States who currently offers this kind of real-time pressure mapping. With the sensor mat linked to Amber’s mobile map I can see in real time where the saddle pinches or rubs, and the intensity.One of our eventers is a hard-to-fit horse. He is a sensitive thoroughbred, very athletically built with unconventional dimensions, and delicate skin. He has thrown many fitters for a loop.Amber embraced the challenge. She listened, researched and came prepared with several saddle types to measure and adjust our equipment. She pre-fitted him, then added the digital pressure mat. She mapped out the pressure points as he was jumping and performing dressage. The feedback was very insightful. Based on the detailed map of our horse’s back she was able to rule out as well as recommend specific saddle fit types.Amber is a pleasure to work with. She is not affiliated with any saddle company. This gives her the flexibility to work with a broad range of saddle types.

After several months of trying unsuccessfully to find a saddle fitter I posted up on Facebook pleading for one, Amber responded in less than an hour.She scheduled an appointment 2 days later, willing to make a two and a half hour drive, and do a saddle fitting on my very difficult to fit quarter horse Gunny. She made it clear she did not work for any of the big name brands and that her only goal was to ensure my horse's equipment was comfortable and fit him correctly, we could use whatever she or I had at our disposal or find something inexpensive to make my horse comfortable. I am definitely on a tight budget so this was music to my ears and something I have never heard from a saddle fitter.She came out and looked and Gunny and his current equipment on him and then did readings with her digital saddle pad with that equipment on him standing flat in the barn. She showed me on the readings from the pad where there were problem areas and explained everything I was looking at and answered every question I had.We made adjustments and then went down to do a reading with me riding the horse. That yielded entirely different results that required further adjustment.Amber patiently and tirelessly worked for hours trying to figure out the mystery of how to solve the issue of fitting a horse who's back had such a pronounced section of atrophy where the saddle needed to be supported on one side. He is quite a challenge to fit, I admit.She had to come back with more equipment and tools, messaged back and forth with me ideas of potential ways we could get the perfect fit. It took several visits and probably well over 12 hours total between them to finally solve the most challenging puzzle ever but we finally did it!! Amber never got impatient or frustrated. She was engaged and looked at my horse and all his flaws and saw the awesome horse I see, she was just as invested in him as I was and that meant everything to me.She even volunteered an afternoon to come out to my summer camp and spent several hours teaching my campers all about saddle fitting and ensuring the saddle they put on was properly fitted and how to fix common problems of ill fitting saddles.She has come out to fit several other horses in our barn, my students' new horses when they got their saddles. She is always happy to go to her local consignment store or other tack shops and bring options if we have needed it.She is the most reasonably priced, helpful and amazing saddle fitter I've had to work with and I am truly grateful and blessed to have found her. So anyone that wants to know their horse is comfortable in the equipment they're riding in or needs to know if something new they've gotten is a good fit call Amber you and your horse will be so much better for it if you do!!!!
