I have never been in a commissary I did not like. Great selection of all those food items you need. From meats to vegetables it has it all. Staff was friendly and helpful. Store layout was great and the isles clean and not clustered. Another great shopping experience.

Very well organized and nice people inside. Clean appearance and aisles. Produce is always close to expiry. Bread is sometimes close to expiry. Several items are sometimes sold out. Often items don't appear to be poor until you get it home. Just ok.

~ Review for the meat department ~The meat department displays great customer service. I’ve called ahead to request specific cuts of meat such as Korean kalbi and oxtail. This makes for planning command functions and family dinners for easy planning

Some prices are good but the surcharge and tipping the baggers offsets the savings. The biggest issues are low quality produce and the expiration dates on food is near the date of purchase.

They are out of average everyday things such as cooper cheese and don’t carry average things such as vegetable cream cheese, the manager, before this latest one, did a better job!!! We need them to cater to the military and appreciate us better!

Staff is very nice. Food prices are not bad, fruits and vegetables are very poor quality and go bad very fast. Some meat prices are not bad but better deals and quality in BJ's and Costco in Waldorf has much better quality and prices but it's a long drive. None perishables are great here with good prices and selection.

This location is very organized and neat. Easy to find what u need and shelves are well maintained. The store is very clean. The produced area is all fresh. Meat looks all fresh. You guys need to check the store. Management and employees are very friendly and helpful. This is base on my experience.

The deli workers, the cashiers, the produce department, and the meat department are awesome. The only problem I have is getting meat cut the way you want. It seems like they aren't there for a very long time or they already cleaned their machine. Also, I wish the had a better Asian section.

The staff here is great. Unfortunately, like most commissaries their delivery schedule is sometimes hit or miss. This location is good for staples, but with so many local farms, you can find much better produce, meat and dairy around town.

Good Prices for sure. Sometimes it leaves me needing to make another stop. The fruit can present a challenge when it comes to fresh and taste. Which are 2 important areas for food that is not preserved or processed. The fresh section of the store needs work. I regularly see molded produce mixed in. I've even called back at times to speak with management. Like I said you can't beat the prices, but you might have to make another stop for fresh produce.

Food shopping on Friday thinking the shelves would have been stocked. They weren't. We don't enjoy going on a Saturday since it's crowded. The cashier and stockers we encountered were delightful and pleasant.

The fruits and vegetables are not as fresh as other supermarkets in the area, almost no kosher products and there are birds that fly inside the store pooping all over the shelves.I do like the prices of the meat section.

A pretty good store. Option for self checkout too. The fruit and vegetable section is a little disappointing. Not much of a selection, not always fresh, or the veggies are frozen. Prices are hit and miss, so do your research if you really want to get deals. Convenience may in out here. Going into town can be frustrating with the traffic and location of other stores. But the Super Walmart can beat or match many prices.

The staff is friendly and the food as with any commissary affordable. My problem is all but one self checkout closes at about 6:20. It forces you to go through the Express lane where you have to pay extra for the baggers. Reasonable but not a good thing for all customers.

This commissary is okay. It's not the biggest brightest or newest. They usually keep the best selling items well stocked. You can order fresh made sandwiches and sides at the deli. There's no salad bar but is a fresh Sushi counter. They hold case lot sales a few times a year.

This commissary is great! Plenty of selection, wide aisles, helpful staff, decent prices. Parking is abundant.

I think all in all its a great store however , with covid going on I was surprised that , they do not have someone cleaning off the carts as they come back or cleaning off self checkout stations between customers, I only mention it because, this is what I see them doing at the grocery stores in town .

This is just another place to shop. If you don't know the prices of the things you buy you can easily over pay. Also remember that the commissary charges a surcharge and the naggers work for tips. Most grocery stores do not and food is still untaxed in most states. I find Walmart to be cheaper for most basic items and certainly more convenient.

It has pretty much everything you need in the aisles. No meat counter, but it does have a deli and bakery. Cashiers and baggers are always nice.

We retired in 2015 and have been able to shop at many commissaries and it is usually cheaper. This is the outdated model. They have birds flying inside, which is very odd. I just wish the rewards card worked like Safeways.New update 2021: they have new items but their prices are still very high. Understand DECA is no longer allowed to buy and sell at whole sale prices, but just look at the gas prices. It gives you a good idea how your paying the same on many items as out in town, even without tax.

Unfortunately, service at the commisary is disappointing. Phone calls not returned. Store hours on web site are incorrect. It is now mid-August and many of the items have not restocked, when other grocery stores have overcome this problem. I have been a loyal commisary customer for over 40 years and I am disappointed. The prices are still excellent but the quality of service suffers. It's a shame.

the ladies in the deli need to be trainied. this commissary is for active and and retired. not for them to get a pay check check and not do their job. i brought this up to a few in FRA building. seems i am not the only one..... you get a pass today. the next time i get treated poorly i will not bother with the goof ball in the office who doesn't do his job. i will take to the region manager and base CO.Up on 10 july.2021. Deli closed two hrs before store closed. Why?

It's always worth the trip. The packaged food it's so much cheaper than at Walmart especially condiments, spices and canned goods. But cleaning supplies too!!!

I consistently go to the commissary once a week. The experience is always excellent. The pandemic has introduced challenges, but the staff does well in meeting my needs. Keep up the good work.

For decades we have and still do most of our grocery shopping at the Pax commissary. It is an average store with generally lower prices. Though the prices are actually higher than marked because the commissary applies a surcharge on top the total price. Surcharge is about 7%. Our number one complaint regards milk. Too frequently milk from the commissary is spoiled when opened. Compared to other grocery stores in the Pax area, the period between the current date and sell-by date is short...5-7 days vice 10-12 days. The milk is much cheaper. It is pretty much a given that if commissary milk is not consumed before the sell-by date, it will be spoiled by the sell-by date. Our impression is that milk is cheap because they sell old milk. We also wonder how well the milk stays refrigerated throughout the transport process. Still we buy milk at the commissary and take our chances.
