I really enjoy my local Safeway and everyone is usually very nice. Plus the meat and seafood department smell clean unlike the Arnold Safeway. But recently the produce department has been a complete train wreck! It has been low of stock on random items for a while now and more recently things have been starting to rot out on the floor. I tried buying cauliflower just yesterday and the few heads left were rotting and there was also no baby spinach left. I had to go to Giant afterwards for the produce I missed at Safeway :( I want to hopefully change this review soon if my favorite store picks up the slack in the produce department!

I just want to give a glowing customer service review after a screw up on my end tonight. I was checking out with a decent sized order with my significant other and I put in an old account phone number. Unfortunately due to me putting in the wrong number, the entire order had to be rescanned to put it under the correct account. Thank you Renee, for taking care of us initially, Jayson, who reentered our entire order, and the manager who was on, whose name we didn't catch, for all their time and help to correct this. We appreciate it and apologies again. Thank you.

Christmas Eve ... The store was clean and organized. It was packed but there were enough employees to fill the checkouts and make everything flow. Actually had a few items other local stores were sold out of. Basically saved me a ton of time.

I wouldn’t go here, my boyfriend is black & on his way out after paying for groceries some white older lady in charge with brown hair locked my boyfriends cart & started harassing him about if he paid ? FOUR EMPLOYEES WATCHED HIM CHECK OUT & PAY!!! Two white people went out before him with out any problems? They kept questioning him? He’s been in there multiple times with out any problem? But this white lady & some younger white boy gave him hella problems on his way out. I wanna talk to someone higher up, I’m livid.

Their rewards system is wonderful as they also have a Safeway gas station on Mountain Rd. in Pasadena but their rewards are also transferable to any Exxon gas station for 20 cent off each gallon. They also have great deals on shopping with their Safeway App.

Literally 1 cashier max, often times I go and it's self check out only open and there's employees standing around. Could be saving customers their time. Why do that when the company can save money instead!

Clean store but if you want to stay alive, please don't use their restroom 🚻. That is the worst restroom I have ever seen. Smell and dirty is likely they ever cleaned out from build up. Super market's restroom should be clean but I don't know any health inspector ever been there or management not let them to enter restroom! If you don't believe, you're free to tryouts your next visit. If safeway's management person reading this(I know you don't care) try your customer restroom.

Place is pretty nice and clean, staff is friendly. My main issue is that this place is never stocked with anything I need, especially the bakery. It's crazy, because every other Safeway in the area is fully stocked with everything I need, including all baked goods. Now, I go to a different Safeway 90% of the time because this particular location doesn't have what I'm looking for.

Updated: Lynsie was able to help me out and did not give up until the issue was resolvedOrdered delivery of groceries but they left it on the porch without knocking and everything went bad. Manager said they would refund me but did not. Tried several times to call and either no answer or got transferred several times and disconnected. Terrible customer service

When I lived in the Northwest, I would go to Safeway all the time. Living on the East Coast, there are fewer of these stores. I am glad that I live in an area where there is one, though. Their prices are usually lower than Giants, but their selection is not always ad robust. They have a really good bakery & I like that they have a Starbucks inside the store. The staff appear to be very friendly & the ones I have had the pleasure of talking g to have always gone out of their way. I will be back!

I don't normally shop here but I needed a few things so I stopped in. They store is very welcoming. It's very clean. But the prices are pretty high. I got tater tots name brand was almost $8 store brand was $4. I did need make up and that was extremely overpriced a lip gloss was almost $20. I do continue to go back to this store for the sale items.

I walked in around 2:45pm. I was greeted by some employee and then immediately was told by him “Don’t worry you don’t need to buy anything”. I’m so glad I don’t live in this area so I don’t have to deal with this on the daily. I don’t care what the intention behind that sentence was. It wouldn’t have been said to the older lady behind me.

Safeway was awesome. I had to stop and get a few things and they had bagels on sale for 5.00$. They had a employee standing there at the table if you wanted them mixed. I got noodles and gravy and London broil for my dinner and everything was on sale. I only spent 22.21$. I used self checkout so I was out in minutes. As usual I had a awesome experience. Thanks Safeway

Very clean. Not as clean as Harris Teeter, but pretty clean. Bakery is good, meats are so so, sometimes seems lacking on inventory.

Clean, usually well stocked, has a Starbucks, free wi-fi. Been going here for 20+ years split maybe 50/50 with the Giant next-door. Wife is a safeway fan, I prefer the Giant but they are really pretty comparable- just your preference.

Hardly any cashiers and while the self checkout is great, I do use cash sometimes and the lines get pretty long.Better produce than other close by grocery stores.

Most of the time we order our groceries online {for delivery}. Safeway's website is very good and user-friendly. Give them 5 stars for that. But, I'm taking one back for the questionable number of unavailables and substitutions. I wonder if Safeway collects and analyzes the data required to indentify questionable things like that. I'm thinking it may be an employee performance issue with some of their 'shoppers'. One day I'm going to go into the store to validate a reported product unavailability and/or substitute. Hey Safeway, have a QA Program? Want to hire a surprise shopper'? 😉

This Safeway is always clean when I go here, parking is ample, the store is organized, and they have good selection. They even have a gift section for last minute or Maryland-themed gifts. The cashiers here are always friendly, which leads me to think they must have good management.

I love Safeway they always have the best cuts of meat and fresh produce. I always receive excellent service and help when I can’t find the items I’m looking for. There’s never any weird smells for dirty floors. I know when I go to Safeway I’m going to enjoy my shopping experience.

I'm disgusted. I usually go to the Safeway in Arnold which has a very large selection, very clean and very nice staff. I figured since I needed to go shopping and was in the Pasadena area, to stop by this location for what I need. At first things seemed fine, your average local supermarket. But unfortunately I was met with several pieces of molded produce, for example a bag of garlic cloves, a container of strawberries and raspberries. I notified the produce attendant.I went to get chicken from the fresh meat section and there was none available prepackaged so I went to the meat counter. A gentleman waiting the counter did not want to give me the quantity I needed (6 breasts) but after back and forth conversation he obliged. He did not use gloves and bare-handedly picked up each breast and slapped them onto the counter, then onto the tray where he wrapped them. Tossed me the package, and walked away. I could not believe that. Last but not least, an unattended flood was running rampant in aisle 12, from their refillable water cooler.What a day. Definitely won't make the mistake of going to this location again.

Very good deals through out but very pricey. The bathroom need some work their was a unpleasant smell of urine asoon as you walk in. But overall very nice experience.

Seams like a lot of stuff is just not there? I hope they are not going out of business. I do know Walmart has the same problems supply chain issues. Due to the powers that be truckers not being paid enough.

Update. They have been re-arranging the store and hopefully they are not done yet. A few of the rows are way too narrow and hard to pass two carts or someone stopped picking something out.Pleasant place to shop. Fairly wide selection and good cuts of meats and seafood. Have been shopping here for several years for my day to day needs and have been very happy overall. There is a gas station out in front of the plaza and I enjoy the gas reward discounts as well. One hack that I like to use is to purchase Amazon gift cards here and get the double reward points instead of just using my card on line. Spending money on Amazon anyway, why not get discounts on my gas when doing so.

The employees are nice and seemingly helpful and while they did have some items we needed this time, their selection was rather disappointing. To be fair, all of the Safeways I have been to in MD have been disappointing compared to others I have been to on the west coast.

All good here, but there were definitely things missing. Deli was super thin, no eggs, missing a lot of refrigerated items like milk, all creamer, sour cream etc. Had to go to three grocery stores too get what I needed. :)

The only thing I don't like about safeway is they're extremely high prices & they don't have things that other grocery stores have. Bur I like that they have a Starbucks inside and the people that work at safeway are all very friendly.
