Great little local store with the normal random variety of dollar (but not everything is actually $1) store. The place is pretty small and tight aisles but overall clean, often cluttered with boxes in the aisles. Some great deals still to be had though. They do sell helium balloons or will fill your own provided balloons (bring your own string too) for $2 each. The staff there are always friendly to greet you and helpful if you need assistance.

Oof! If I could do negative reviews, I honestly would. Jesus! Just wasted 45 minutes to return items I was over charged, for coupons offered by the store were not being honored. Apparently, the register is not able to comprehend the digital coupons offered through the app. On top of all that, the items I was returning was totaling less than what I paid for, shorting me again. The cashiers were supper nice and did everything they could to fix it but they were getting frustrated as well. What a damn shame and waste of my time. NEVER AGAIN

If the store has hours of opening at 8 am employees, should be there prior to so customers do not have to wait. Poor management very disappointed. Two workers showed up exactly at 8 o’clock, but would not let customers in the store because they didn’t get there in time to have the store open. Management do better informing your employees to not show up when the store is actually supposed to open, they should be there before hand.

Great place. Lots of stuff, even name brand items, cheaper than other stores. Staff is always kind and helpful. Got my mom three sets of kitchen towels; she LOVES them.

I have been in 3 times in the last 2 weeks. There is one woman(employee) who never has a mask on,( wears it under her chin). She is a smoker and coughs all over the carts, registers, and products. One time there was an additional female employee who was also not wearing a mask. Normally this was a great store, but clearly no one is interested in keeping us safe at the moment.

This is by far the "BEST" Dollar General around the Annapolis, Pasadena, Glen Burnie, and Baltimore area that I have shopped! The store is always clean, organized, stocked, and have a decent selection of products. Most of the employees are pleasant, helpful, and professional! Even around the holidays this store is organized and stocked. I come here all the time and have never had a bad experience or seen a messy store. Every other DG that I have visited in the area are ALWAYS hot messes. They have stuff everywhere except for where it should be such as all over the floor, in aisles, and many times tons of stuff still in boxes opened but not put away. Also, most of the other DG's are dirty and I can never find what I am looking for because the store is so disorganized. Come check out this DG and you will see why I always try to make it to this store instead of any other ones around this area.

They have revamped this store I don't necessarily know if it's for the better well it looks better in practice when you go down the aisle I find it odd that you can't fit two people going in a different direction with a shopping cart I just found that bizarre and then by the time I left annoying as hell prices are average some higher than the other stores some not I'll have to say all in all out of a score 10 it's a 5 maybe even a 4 with the size of those aisles

The checkout wait is always long and awkward, but the cashiers are nice.They deal with A LOT considering I've seen customers accuse them of giving them fake $10 bills, and being cussed at for not selling cigarettes without an ID (illegal to do so)Sometimes the $5 off $25 doesn't work, so I just don't attempt to use them anymore.

I was very impressed with Debbie today. I was doing self checkout and like always my coupon that are digital that I went online and selected we're not showing up daddy stepped up and helped me and was very kind and very helpful

The service provided by cashiers (Jeannie and Nancy) was fantastic. The store itself was the best cleaned store I have seen. a yell out to the staff and managers for a great job.

I am a regular customer here daily and for the most part staff is friendly and helpful.However,yesterday my friend and I amongest several other customers experienced a manager yelling and cursing at an employee right in front of all us😤I am appalled what I seen& heard!!VERY UNPROFESSIONAL & yet not one person did nothing about this! I got her name from the woman crying and she told me she was a manager! Seriously if you want customers to keep coming back you need to check your staff management! It starts there people!!! This is unexceptable and she NEEDS to be held ACCOUNTABLE for her actions!!

Yeah the prices on simple stuff is good but this store is a MESS. Staff was friendly, but that doesn't matter when all you need them for is checking out. They had carts of their own supplies blocking the lanes and making it right and also blocking stuff you were trying to get to.

Dollar General is Dollar General as far as the store goes. What makes a differance from one to the other is the staff. The Fort Smallwood Rd store has a very good staff. They are helpful, nice to chat with as they ring you up yet they don't hold you up. They take care of you kindly, quickly & get you on your way.

If you are going to fight the crowd in Wal Mart for some milk and toilet paper you are doing it all wrong. The ladies in the DG are always friendly. I get in and out with my odds and ends fast. Nice little store.

I am a loyal customer, one day two of your workers accused me of working with a thief that was a cashier!! I did not work with the cashier to fence items out of the store so it can b resold somewhere else! ! I was very embarrased and hate going into this store!!Also the store is always a mess and you never have enough cashiers to handle your customers!! I always have a huge list of items I buy there and I am always letting your customers get in front of me because only have one register open..

Great dollar general. They just recently added a grocery section. Would be nice for a quick stop if you needed some things all in one location. Always has a great holiday selection. Friendly staff.

Former employee. This store stands head and shoulders above the rest of the DGs in this area. Im not a biased reviewer, I've simply surveyed other stores as I've shopped them and none of them really retain the crisp dignity that this one does.I've moved onto other areas of employment but I've met some impressive characters within the faces of the staff. Even on their bad days they try to be professional and presentable, whereas within the other stores you're hardly acknowledged.What really seals the deal is the layout of the store with ample room to navigate and how the aisles are organized. It may sound like an unnoticable detail but its a painfully obvious difference when the other stores have cramped aisles and you find yourself leapfrogging from place to place to get your items.1 star for how all hands take good care of this store. 2nd star for the tidy environment. 3rd star for ample stock and selection. 4th star for excellent customer service. 5th star because I felt like it.

Isles are small no room for two people to be in the same area shopping so go at a time they are usually not busy! Because then you would be dealing with a very long check out line as well.

The manager there the old lady Sherry is always screaming at the staff behind the counter. Very unprofessional and should get a new manager. She couldn’t even do the cashier job correctly, not sure why she got to be the manager.
